Vivo is rumored to be gearing up to unveil a new S-series phone called the Vivo S2 FE. The handset has been kept under wraps until now, but its existence has been confirmed through a Flipkart listing. The said listing has revealed the design and launch date of the S2 FE.
Vivo S2 FE launch date revealed
Flipkart has set up a promotional page for the Vivo S2 FE, confirming that the smartphone will be unveiled in India on October 6, the same day the Vivo V80 will also be announced. The listing also gives us a first look at the phone’s design. It shows the S2 FE with a green-colored rear panel and a camera island housing two cameras.
The Flipkart page also mentions that the Vivo S2 FE is “powered by OriginOS,” although it does not specify the version. The phone is expected to run OriginOS 6, considering that the Vivo V80 is reportedly set to be the first Vivo smartphone to launch outside China with OriginOS 7.
Vivo S2 FE specifications, price (rumored)
According to rumors, the Vivo S2 FE could feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset and could include an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is also said to pack a massive 10,000mAh battery.
The S2 FE is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, while a 32-megapixel sensor could handle selfies and video calls. The smartphone is rumored to be priced below INR 40,000 in India, although Vivo has yet to officially confirm its specifications or pricing.
To sum up, the S2 FE is expected to be a rebranded version of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which went official in some Southeast Asian markets like Malaysia and Thailand.
