As already mentioned, the GT series from Realme was the first and now this series reached the fifth generation with the Realme GT 5. A few days ago, Honor launched a new GT phone as well: the Honor 90 GT. Another amazing flagship killer with a high-end processor and a good display.     Design

    When it comes to the design, each of these two phones offers its pros and cons. The Realme GT 5 is definitely the most attractive one in terms of look, as it comes with a rear LED light around the zone in which the processor is placed. It is made with premium material including the glass for the back cover and the aluminum for the frame, so you also get a great touch and feel. Last but not least, the display has very narrow bezels, with a punch hole placed in the middle. With the Honor 90 GT, you get a central punch hole as well, and you also get narrow bezels, but the design is more anonymous and the phone is not made of premium materials as it has a plastic body. But on the other hand, it is thinner and lighter than its rival, so it remains a very good choice.

    Display

    The Realme GT 5 is equipped with a better display if compared to its opponent in this specs comparison. First of all, it is a wider panel, with a diagonal of 6.74 inches. Further, it is able to show up to one billion colors thanks to a 10-bit color depth and it has a higher 144 Hz refresh rate. It comes with a 1.5K resolution of 1240 x 2772 pixels and it supports the HDR10+ standard, and it comes with an amazing 1400 nits peak brightness. With the Honor 90 GT, you get a smaller panel with a diagonal of just 6.7 inches and a 1.5K resolution of 1200 x 2664 pixels. This phone is able to show up to one billion colors as well but with a lower 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the peak brightness is a whopping 2600 nits. Both phones sport an in-display fingerprint reader, as well as powerful stereo speakers.

    Specs & Software

    The Honor 90 GT and the Realme GT 5 are both equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform by Qualcomm. It is an octa-core flagship-class processor built with a 4 nm production process and running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, including the Adreno 740 GPU. What changes is the amount of RAM and the internal storage. The Honor flagship killer offers up to 24 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of native storage, while the Realme one stops at 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Both phones ship with Android 13 out of the box but with different user interfaces: Magic OS and Realme UI, respectively.

    Camera

    If you are looking for the most advanced cameras, then you should go for the Realme GT 5. It sports a 50 MP main shooter with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro sensor. Its rival has a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide shooter. Both devices come with a 16 MP selfie snapper.

    Battery

    The Realme GT 5 ships with a bigger battery sporting a capacity of 5240 mAh, and it is able to charge faster thanks to 150W fast charging bringing the battery from 1 to 50 percent in just 7 minutes. With the Honor 90 GT, you get a 5000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

    Price

    The starting price of the Honor 90 GT roughly translates into €330 or $300 (the handset is only available in China, for now), while you need at least €380 or $420 in order to purchase the Realme GT 5. Which one would you pick?
