Following are various methods to access voicemails on your Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Use them to make sure you don’t miss important voicemails.

Method 1: Using the phone dialer

You can listen to your voicemails by long pressing the “1” key on the dial pad. This method works with major carriers in the US, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

Step 1: Open the Phone app.

Step 2: Press and hold the “1” key. It will call your voicemail number.

Step 3: Enter your voicemail password or pin (if required).

Step 4: Follow the prompts to listen to your voicemails.

If holding the “1” key on the dial pad doesn’t call your voicemail number, you may not have set it up yet.

Follow these steps to set up your voicemail number:

Step 1: Open the Phone app.

Step 2: Tap three dots in the top-right corner and choose Settings.

Step 3: Select Voicemail and tap Voicemail number.

Step 4: Enter your voicemail number and click OK.

Contact your carrier for the details if you don’t know the voicemail number.

Method 2: Using carrier-specific voicemail app

Samsung mobiles do not have a voicemail app, but most carriers do. If you have a Samsung device from AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile, the device should already have a visual voicemail app.

Contact your carrier to check if they offer a dedicated voicemail app for your smartphone.

To find the app, open the app drawer and type “voicemail” in the search box. If there’s any, you should see it on your screen.

You can also download the app from the Google Play Store if it isn’t pre-installed on your Galaxy device.

To access voicemails, open the app, go to the voicemail tab, and tap a voicemail to hear it or see the transcript.

Method 3: For Google Fi and Google Voice

Both Google Fi and Google Voice offer a voicemail feature. If you’re subscribed to any of the two services, you can easily see your voicemails or visual voicemails.

Open the Google Fi or Google Voice app on your phone and go to the voicemail tab at the bottom. You’ll see a list of voicemails. Tap on a voicemail. You can also view the transcript, if available.

Method 4: Access voicemails on a different device

Even if you don’t have your Samsung smartphone with you, listening to your voicemails is still possible.

    [For Verizon]

Step 1: Dial your 10-digit mobile number.

Step 2: Press # as soon as the voicemail greeting starts and enter the voicemail password.

Step 3: Re-enter your mobile number (if asked).

Step 4: Follow the prompts to listen to your voicemails.

    [For T-Mobile]

Step 1: Dial 1-805-637-7249 from another device.

Step 2: Enter your 10-digit mobile number.

Step 3: Press * when the voicemail greeting plays and enter the password.

Step 4: Follow the prompts to listen to your voicemails.

    [For AT&T]

Step 1: Dial your 10-digit mobile number.

Step 2: Press * when you hear your voicemail greeting.

Step 3: If you reach the main voicemail system greeting, enter your 10-digit wireless phone number and press *.

Step 4: Enter your voicemail password when asked.

Step 5:  Follow the prompts to listen to your voicemails.

    [For Google Voice]

Step 1: On your computer, go to voice.google.com.

Step 2: Click Voicemail on the left.

    Step 3: Click a voicemail.

Step 4: Tap the play button to listen to it or read the voicemail transcript (if available).
