Samsung Galaxy A25 5G has surfaced again as the device’s support page with model number SM-A256E has gone live in India. MySmartPrice was quick to spot it and in addition, they have also provided a thorough look at the device, including its complete specifications and renders showcasing rumored color options. This new leak builds upon earlier leaks and the Galaxy A25’s appearance on the Geekbench listing in September.

Samsung Galaxy A25 5G Renders and Specifications:

As per the renders, Galaxy A25 5G boasts a sleek design with rounded corners, slim bezels, and a U-shaped notch on the front. Its rear aligns with the 2023 Samsung smartphone aesthetics, featuring three vertically aligned camera sensors in the top left corner. The device’s frame houses the power button and volume rockers on the right side and the SIM tray on the left side.

Coming to the specs, the Galaxy A25 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 1000 nits. It is powered by an Exynos 1280 Octa-Core processor, paired with the Mali-G68 GPU. The phone features 6GB / 8GB RAM along with 128GB / 256GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

In terms of optics, the device includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 13MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy A25 5G will run Android 14 out of the box with One UI 6 on the top. Alongside, the device will also receive four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. Additional features include Samsung Knox security and Samsung Pay.

In terms of connectivity and power, the Galaxy A25 5G supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and has a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It will be available in multiple colors including Blue, Black, Yellow, Light Blue, and Blue.

Though the precise launch date remains undisclosed, the frequent leaks and the recent appearance of a support page on Samsung’s website indicate that the release of the Galaxy A25 5G may happen sooner than expected.

Chinese tech giant Huawei has teamed up with Thermos to launch a smart thermos flask under the Smart Selection brand in China. It is the Huawei Smart Selection Thermos Smart Insulated Cup Pro. It comes with a touch-sensitive OLED screen for viewing the temperature.

The new Huawei smart thermos cup can sustain the temperature of its content for up to six hours. It offers both heat and cold insulation using premium smart technology to deliver healthy drinking water. Huawei says the new thermos cup brings a new smart drinking experience for users. The smart Thermos cup is designed for multiple drinking instances and it can be used in all seasons.

Viewsonic has launched the LX700-4K projector, a projector designed for use with the Xbox game console. The new Viewsonic projector comes with 3,500 ANSI lumens brightness and several gaming features. The LX700-4K will be available in multiple markets including the UK, Australia, and the US.

Features

The projector has a maximum recommended image size of 300 inches, a 240Hz display refresh rate, and a 4.2ms input lag. The projector’s light source has a lifespan of 30,000 hours which translates to up to 10 years of 3 hours average daily usage. The peak brightness of the projector exceeds that of the Viewsonic X2-4K which is also an Xbox-based projector. The projector has a 1.45:1 throw ratio and a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The projector is equipped with a 0.65” DMD chip and is compatible with HDR and HLG output.

The projector comes with horizontal/ vertical keystone correction tools and 1.36x optical zoom. The projector can be used for 1440p and 1080p gaming at 120Hz and 240Hz refresh rates respectively. The Advanced settings of the LX700 projector allow for seamless streaming of gaming content from the Xbox console. In terms of ports, the projector has HDMI 2.0b/ HDCP 2.2 ports and USB-A. Two new Wi-Fi 7 chips have been announced by MediaTek. They are the Filogic 360 and Filogic 860. The Filogic 860 is a standalone model while the Filogic 360 is designed for use in smartphones, laptops, and other tech devices.

The new MediaTek Filogic series Wi-Fi 7-ready chips were showcased earlier during CES 2023. The MediaTek Filogic 360 is a reduced version of the Filogic 380 which was released earlier in 2023. It is tailor-made for smartphones, tablets, laptops, routers, and various IoT devices. The chip is capable of the basic functionality of Wi-Fi 7 including multi-user, multiple input, multiple output (MU-MIMO), 4096 QAM, and download speeds up to 2.9Gbps. It also offers dual Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and LE audio support.

The Filogic 860 chip has a 3-core CPU and is a scaled-down version of the MediaTek Filogic 880. It offers automatic frequency coordination, 160Hz channel bandwidth, and 4096 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) scheme. The maximum throughput of the Filogic 860 is 7.2Gbps. It supports up to 10Gbps single Ethernet connections, 1 x 2.5Gbps, and 4 x 1 Gbps connections. The MediaTek Filogic 860 chip can be configured with PCIe Gen 3 host controllers for embedded usage. The model can also accommodate USB 3.2 ports if so desired for manufacture by wireless router makers. The MediaTek Filogic 860 has a CPU with 3x Cortex-A78 cores with a peak of 1.8GHz. There is also an NPU that assists the CPU with resource-heavy tasks.

MediaTek says devices featuring the new Wi-Fi 7 chips are already being mass-produced and will be available in mid-2024. The premium features of the MediaTek Filogic 360 and Filogic 860 Wi-Fi 7 chips could make them highly sought after.

On Nov. 23, the brand will announce the Reno 11 series, but the Find X7 lineup is unlikely to debut this year. A new leak has revealed when the Find X7 and X7 Pro will be released in the Chinese market.

Find X7, X7 Pro launch timeframe (rumored)

According to the leaker, flagship phones, such as the Nubia Z60 Ultra, Honor Magic 6 Pro, and Find X7 Pro, will be announced before the Chinese Sprint Festival 2024, which will be held between Feb. 10 and Feb. 17. In another Weibo post, the same tipster has claimed that the Z60 Ultra will be announced in December this year, which suggests that the Honor Magic 6 Pro and Find X7 Pro will be unveiled by January end or early February. This indicates that the X7 lineup will debut earlier than the Find X6 series, which was announced in March of this year.

The Find X7 and X7 Pro will feature the Dimensity 9300 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. The company has confirmed that the X7 series will arrive with support for satellite communication connectivity. However, the feature could likely be available only on the Pro model. The Find X7 series will feature the HyperTone camera system, which is confirmed to be available on the OnePlus 12 and the Reno 11 series.

The Find X7 Pro is expected to feature the upcoming one-inch LYT-900 primary camera, which is said to be a modified version of the IMX989. ‘Nothing Chats’ app pulled from Google Play Store

Kishan Bagaria, Founder of Texts.com, initially raised these concerns on X/Twitter. Later, the Texts.com team also published a detailed blog outlining the app’s vulnerabilities.

Thеir invеstigation rеvеalеd that Sunbird, Nothing’s sеrvicе providеr, had bееn mislеading usеrs about thе еnd-to-еnd еncryption of mеssagеs routеd through its sеrvеrs. Whilе mеssagеs sеnt to Sunbird’s sеrvеrs wеrе еncryptеd, thе JSON Wеb Tokеns (JWT) gеnеratеd by thе sеrvicе wеrе sеnt without any еncryption to anothеr Sunbird sеrvеr, making thеm vulnеrablе to intеrcеption.

Additionally, thе mеssagеs wеrе dеcryptеd and storеd on Sunbird sеrvеrs, lеaving thеm suscеptiblе to unauthorizеd accеss.

Tеxts.com dеmonstratеd this by intеrcеpting thе JWTs еxchangеd bеtwееn two dеvicеs, gaining accеss to thе Firеbasе rеal-timе databasе. Rеsеarchеrs thеn wеrе ablе to intеrcеpt JWT tokеns and accеss usеr information and convеrsations with just 23 linеs of codе.

Whilе thе privacy issues arе dirеctly attributablе to Sunbird, Nothing has drawn criticism for choosing to work with thе company and for downplaying thе sеvеrity of thе situation by labеling it as “bugs.”

With Applе’s rеcеnt announcеmеnt of RCS support, thе Nothing Chats app’s appеal has diminishеd furthеr. Usеrs should еxеrcisе caution whеn logging into third-party sеrvicеs using thеir Applе IDs, еvеn if еncryption is promisеd.

Regarding the price, the tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that the Meizu 21 is expected to be priced at approximately 4,000 Yuan (~$555). This pricing places it in direct competition with other smartphones in its category, such as the Xiaomi 14 series, iQOO 12 series, and the Vivo X100 lineup, all of which start at 3,999 Yuan.

In a recent leak, tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed certain camera features and reiterated the expected launch timeframe for the ZTE Z60 Ultra.

It is also said to support optical image stabilization (OIS).

The tipster added that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship will be unveiled in December. In a newer Weibo post, the tipster shared the above image, which he had already released back in August. He said that the prototype device shown on the right, which appears to be the Z60 Ultra, has a very prominent protrusion.

In August, the tipster claimed that the device is equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 35mm primary camera. However, the tipster has claimed that Nubia has not yet incorporated the IMX989 35mm sensor in the Z60 Ultra. Hence, it is unclear which primary camera will be available on the device.

The detailed specifications of the Z60 Ultra haven’t been leaked yet, but a recent Geekbench listing revealed that it will arrive with 12 GB RAM and Android 14. In terms of market positioning, it is set to rival the likes of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, iQOO 12 Pro, Vivo X100 Pro, OnePlus 12, Realme GT 5 Pro, Meizu 21 series, Oppo Find X7 Pro, and Honor Magic 6 Pro in the Chinese market. Just days ago, word broke that the Honor Magic 6 will feature a new camera sensor — the 1-inch OV50K sensor from OmniVision. While specifics about this new sensor remain under wraps, credible leaker Digital Chat Station has shared a few details about it.

According to the leaker, the 1-inch OmniVision OV50K sensor is equipped with a new technology called LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) which will tackle a common challenge in smartphone photography – overexposure in bright scenes.

When you click a picture, the camera sensor captures light which is converted into electrical signals. These signals are then combined to form the final image.

However, in bright scenes, the sensor can be overwhelmed by an excessive amount of light, leading to overexposure and a loss of detail. LOFIC will address this issue by effectively managing the excess light, ensuring that photos retain their integrity even in high-brightness conditions.

DCS added that the OV50K will also be able to compete against Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor.

Honor Magic 6 is also expected to feature satellite communication and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. More details about the Honor Magic 6 series are expected to come out in the coming days.

Microsoft is adding new capabilities to the Windows Photos app, such as the ability to instantly remove backgrounds from images. Version 2023.11110.8002.0 of the Photos app for Windows is currently available to Windows Insiders and enhances several aspects of the current experience.

The main attraction here is background removal, which was brought to Microsoft Paint a few weeks ago and is now available in Windows Photos. Windows Photos has the same one-click automated background removal feature as other photo editing programs.
