Honor GT2 and 500 series launch timeframe tipped

Honor might be closing out 2025 with not one but two major smartphone launches. According to a recent leak, both the Honor GT2 series and the Honor 500 series are tentatively scheduled for release toward the end of the year.

The tipster didn’t share additional details, but here’s everything we know so far from previous reports.

Honor GT2 series

The GT2 lineup is expected to include both a standard and a Pro variant. According to earlier leaks, the GT2 Pro could pack a massive 9,000mAh battery, up from the 7,200mAh cell in its predecessor.

This jump in capacity is made possible by the wider adoption of silicon-carbon battery technology, which offers higher energy density without significantly increasing physical size.

Under the hood, the standard GT2 may ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the GT2 Pro is rumored to step up to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. One leak also claims the GT2 Pro could offer up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Honor 500 series

The Honor 500 lineup is also expected to include a standard and a Pro model, with both continuing the company’s camera-centric approach.

The Honor 500 Pro will reportedly feature a 200-megapixel primary camera paired with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. While the ultra-wide camera details remain unknown, the leak confirms a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Powering the device will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and both models are expected to offer a 6.5-inch display with 1.5K resolution.

To recall, Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy S21 FE back in 2022, with promises of four major OS upgrades. So now, this model is officially receiving the last One UI update.

The latest One UI 8 custom skin is based on the Android 16 OS. Keep in mind that this final One UI update doesn’t mean the device has reached the end of its software support cycle. While Galaxy S21 FE users won’t receive Android 17 based One UI 9, Samsung will still roll out security patches for these devices. These can range from a monthly to a quarterly update schedule.

Android 16 update is now available for these Sony phones

This year, Sony beat many popular brands, including OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo, to become one of the first brands to release Android 16. The Sony Xperia 1 VII was the first from the brand to get the update in September. However, the rollout speed hasn’t been impressive.

After a month-long wait, Sony has recently started rolling out the Android 16 update to Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. Here’s a list of Sony phones that are getting the Android 16 update:

The update is usually rolled out in batches. So, it may take a few days to reach your Sony phone, if it hasn’t already. To manually check for the latest update, you can head over to Settings > System > Advanced and tap on Software update to install the latest update.

Android 16 is a major upgrade with a download size of around 1-2GB. Ensure that your device has sufficient storage and that it is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network, as recommended when downloading bulky update packages. Also, make sure the battery is charged at least 30%.

Sony is about to wrap up its Android 16 rollout

Unfortunately, only four Sony smartphones are eligible for Android 16 upgrade: Xperia 1 VII, Xperia 1 VI, Xperia 10 VI, and Xperia 10 VII. Three of them have already started receiving the Android 16 update, and the last from the list, Xperia 10 VII, should also get it anytime soon.

The Xperia 10 VII will likely receive the update by early November, which would mark the conclusion of the Android 16 rollout for Sony. The company is on track to become one of the first non-Google brands to complete the Android 16 rollout.

All Sony devices here were released in 2024 or after, promising at least three generations of OS updates. Prior to that, the company used to provide only two of them. Thanks to the upgraded update policy, the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI will also receive Android 17, while the newer Xperia 1 VII and Xperia 10 VII will get OS updates until Android 19.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite appears on benchmark with Dimensity 7300 and Android 15

A leak earlier this month suggested that Nothing is working on Phone (3a) Lite, and now there’s even more reason to believe it. A new device from the company has surfaced on Geekbench, hinting that the Lite model is indeed on the way.

The device carries the model number Nothing A001T and runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. It also runs Android 15 out of the box.

In Geekbench tests, the Phone (3a) Lite managed to score 1003 points in single-core and 2925 in multi-core tests.

While the name “Dimensity 7300” might sound like an upgrade over the Dimensity 7200 Pro used in the Nothing Phone (2a), the story is a bit more nuanced. The 7300 is actually slightly less powerful but more efficient than the 7200. It features a 4x Cortex-A78 CPU setup at 2.5GHz versus the 7200 Pro’s faster Cortex-A715 cores.

Fujifilm has introduced the X-T30 III, the newest model in its X Series of mirrorless cameras. The series is known for combining compact, lightweight bodies with high image quality through Fujifilm’s color reproduction technology. The X-T30 III keeps the same classic center viewfinder design and 378g weight as the previous X-T30 II but adds major performance upgrades.

Oppo Reno 15 series reportedly trimmed down to just two models; no Reno 15 Pro Max

Oppo is currently working on its next mid-range smartphones under the Reno 15 branding. The line is currently expected to include three models: the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Max. But a new leak suggests that the plan might be changing.

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the 6.59-inch model previously believed to be the Reno 15 Pro could be scrapped altogether.

Instead, Oppo is reportedly streamlining the lineup to just two devices: the standard Reno 15 and the Reno 15 Pro, which was previously thought to be the 15 Pro Max.

Oppo Reno 15 / Pro Specifications

Both phones are expected to feature a metal frame and an IP68 / IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The standard Reno 15 will reportedly come with a 6.32-inch display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It’s also rumored to house a 200MP HP5 main camera, along with 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope telephoto lenses. On the front, Oppo is expected to include a 50MP selfie camera.

The Reno 15 Pro, meanwhile, could get a larger 6.78-inch panel with the same 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s expected to use the same camera setup and front sensor, but might introduce 50W wireless charging support.

Under the hood, both devices are said to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This contradicts earlier reports that claimed the top-end model — then believed to be the Reno 15 Pro Max and now the Pro — would ship with the Dimensity 9400 instead.

The lineup is also rumored to include a 6,500mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint scanner, rounding out the spec sheet.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Smart Camera C302 globally, as the model has now appeared on the company’s international website. The compact indoor camera combines 2K UHD video, advanced AI monitoring, and privacy protection features.

The Smart Camera C302 records video at 2,304 x 1,296 resolution with a 3MP sensor for sharp and clear footage. It supports 360-degree coverage with a dual-axis pan-tilt-zoom motor, allowing control through the Xiaomi Home app. The camera can be mounted flat or upside down, and uses H.265 encoding to save up to 50% of storage space and bandwidth compared to older formats.

The night vision system has been improved with a high-sensitivity image sensor that keeps color detail visible longer in low light. It also includes six infrared lights that capture clear black-and-white footage in complete darkness without the red glow that can disturb sleep.

AI-powered detection allows the camera to recognize people, pets, and babies and send alerts for motion, crying, or abnormal sounds such as glass breaking. Users can also set up a virtual fence or custom detection zones to get alerts when someone enters or leaves specific areas.

For privacy, the lens can be physically hidden inside the camera body. Users can set a schedule for automatic shielding. Poco F8 Ultra, Poco F8 Pro battery sizes tipped well before launch

Poco is reportedly developing the Poco F8 series for the global market, and its launch could happen sooner than expected. The F8 Ultra has already received an important certification, hinting that the lineup’s debut is near. The upcoming Poco F8 and F8 Pro are said to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, which were recently launched in China. However, a new post on X by tipster Kacper Skrzypek suggests that the global models will feature smaller batteries compared to their Chinese counterparts.

After examining the HyperOS code, Skrzypek revealed that the Poco F8 Pro will come with a 6,210mAh battery, while the F8 Ultra will include a 6,500mAh battery. In comparison, the Redmi K90 series packs larger batteries, with the K90 featuring a 7,100mAh unit and the K90 Pro Max offering an even bigger 7,500mAh battery.

For reference, the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra also had smaller batteries than the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro. Similarly, while the Poco F8 series will feature reduced battery capacities compared to the K90 lineup, the rest of their specifications are expected to remain identical.

The Poco F8 Pro may feature a 6.59-inch display, while the F8 Ultra could come with a larger 6.9-inch screen. Both models are expected to use OLED panels supporting 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The F8 may include a standard dual-speaker setup, whereas the Ultra could offer a 2.1 audio system with an additional rear speaker for enhanced sound output.

The Poco F8 series is likely to ship with Android 16, customised with the HyperOS 3 interface. Under the hood, the F8 Pro may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Ultra edition could run on the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both models are expected to offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

In the camera department, the F8 Pro may feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, while the F8 Ultra could sport a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. On the rear, the F8 Pro is expected to include a triple-camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel (OmniVision Light Fusion 800, OIS) main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and a 50-megapixel (2.5x telephoto, OIS) sensor.

The F8 Ultra, on the other hand, may feature a 50-megapixel (OmniVision Light Fusion 950, OIS) primary sensor, alongside two additional 50-megapixel lenses, including a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with OIS support. Both phones are expected to feature a metal middle frame and carry an IP68/69 rating, making them resistant to dust and water.

Honor Magic 8 Lite premature listing confirms Snapdragon chip and 7500mAh battery

Honor may soon expand its Magic 8 lineup with a new, more affordable option. After launching the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro in China, the company appears to be preparing the Honor Magic 8 Lite. And the phone has now been spotted in a product listing platform called Icecat.

According to the listing, the Magic 8 Lite will feature a 6.79-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution.

On the camera front, the Magic 8 Lite is said to include a dual rear setup, headlined by a 108-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Powering the device could be a 7,500mAh battery. The listing also mentions 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Other expected features include a fingerprint sensor and standard onboard sensors like ambient light, proximity, gravity, and gyroscope.

The phone is said to come in a single Midnight Black color, weighing 189 grams and measuring 161.9 × 76.1 × 7.76mm.

Play Console confirms Magic 8 Lite chip

Simultaneously, the Magic 8 Lite has also appeared on the Google Play Console listing, which confirms the phone is powered by the Snapdragon SM6650 chip, or the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4.

Software-wise, the device will ship with MagicOS 9 based on Android 15. The 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, likely to be paired with 256GB and 512GB storage.

Honor Magic 8 Lite is the third device in the Magic 8 series, following the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro. Those flagship models feature high-end specs such as triple cameras, IP68/IP69 ratings, and massive batteries up to 7,200mAh.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 brings premium performance to budget Android phones

Qualcomm has announced its latest mobile platform for the affordable smartphone segment, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. The new chip is designed to improve performance, connectivity, and camera capabilities in low-end Android phones. While the company made a quiet announcement, the details indicate a major step forward for the Snapdragon 6-series lineup.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 specifications and features

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is the first in its series to be built on a 4nm process node, typically found in high-end chips. This shift enables better power efficiency and speed. According to Qualcomm, the new platform delivers up to 36 percent higher CPU performance and 59 percent faster GPU processing compared to older 6nm-based models.

The chip houses eight Kryo cores, with four performance cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores reaching 1.8GHz. This setup ensures smoother multitasking, faster app launches, and improved gaming responsiveness.

The chipset supports Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, enhancing visuals during gaming or scrolling. It also integrates Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch, reducing input lag and rendering delays.

In terms of imaging, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 can handle up to 200-megapixel sensors and 2K video capture. Qualcomm’s hardware-level Multi-Frame Noise Reduction technology helps produce clearer images even in low light. Connectivity improvements include support for 5G Release 16, Wi-Fi 6E with speeds up to 2.9Gbps, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Although Qualcomm has not yet disclosed which brands will debut devices with this chip, companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Motorola are expected to feature it in upcoming models.

OnePlus 15 specifications emerge via TENAA certification, global versions get spotted on Geekbench

A China Telecom listing has revealed several details about the OnePlus Ace 6, which is set to launch on Oct. 27 in China. Now, the OnePlus 15, which is also expected to launch alongside the Ace 6, has been spotted on China’s TENAA certification website. At the same time, the global versions of the OnePlus 15 have surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, hinting that its global launch is drawing near.

As per the TENAA listing, the OnePlus 15, which bears the model number PKL110, measures 161.43 x 76.67 x 8.18mm and weighs around 210 grams. It features a 6.78-inch OLED screen that supports 2772 x 1272 pixels (1.5K resolution). The company has already confirmed that the screen will offer up to a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate and will be integrated with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus 15 is officially confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 7,300mAh battery. The latter appears to be a dual-cell unit, as TENAA seemingly only mentions 3,575mAh, which appears to be the capacity of one of the cells. The device will ship with 12GB / 16GB of RAM and will be available in 256GB / 512GB / 1TB storage versions.

For selfies, the OnePlus 15 will feature a 32-megapixel camera, while its back panel will house a triple 50-megapixel camera setup. The setup is officially confirmed to include a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Reports have revealed that the OnePlus 15 has three global variants with model numbers CPH2745, CPH2747, and CPH2748, each probably designed for different regions. The CPH2745 variant was recently spotted on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. Now, the CPH2747 and CPH2749 have also appeared on Geekbench, revealing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16GB of RAM, and Android 15.

OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus 15 next month in India and other markets. A recent report claimed that OP15 may cost less than the OnePlus 13.

Fujitsu FMV Note A Released in Japan with Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, and Blu-ray Drive

Fujitsu has launched the FMV Note A, a 16-inch laptop that includes a built-in optical drive, something rarely seen in new notebooks today. The launch comes at a time when many users in Japan are upgrading their computers as Windows 10 support comes to an end, creating demand for models that still include disc drives.

The FMV Note A is available in several configurations. The top version uses an AMD Ryzen 7 7735U processor with 16GB of dual-channel memory and a 512GB SSD. The base model includes an Intel Core i3-1315U, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB SSD. The higher-end A77-K3 variant comes with a Blu-ray drive, while the lower versions include a DVD drive.

The laptop features a 16-inch IPS display with a 1920×1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Fujitsu says the device is as wide as a typical 15.6-inch model but offers an 11% larger screen area. The high-brightness display is designed to stay clear even in well-lit rooms, making it suitable for browsing or office work.

It includes a 50Wh battery that delivers up to 6.7 hours of video playback. It weighs around 1.9KG, which is on the heavier side compared to modern ultrabooks. However, the added bulk is mostly due to the optical drive.

Connectivity options are broad. There are two USB-C ports (one supports USB 4), two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and an SD card reader. Fujitsu includes a silent wireless mouse with the A77-K3 model and focuses on comfort with a keyboard that has a 2.5mm key travel and an 18.4mm key pitch.

The laptop is offered in multiple color options and includes a webcam shutter for privacy along with facial recognition for easy login.

Price and availability

The Fujitsu FMV Note A is available now in Japan. The base Intel model starts at 124,800 yen ($817), and the top AMD Blu-ray version costs 214,280 yen ($1,403). These laptops are sold only in Japan but can be imported.

In related news, Fujitsu has also launched the FMV UX-K3, a 14-inch laptop weighing just 634g (1.4 lbs), making it the world’s lightest in its class. It is built with carbon and magnesium-lithium alloy, making it just 17.6mm thick.

In recent days, OnePlus has confirmed several details about the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6. However, there are still aspects like the display size, camera specifications, and configurations that have not been officially revealed. In a new development, the Ace 6 bearing the model number PQL110 has prematurely appeared in the database of China Telecom, revealing details that were previously unknown.

OnePlus Ace 6’s key details revealed

The OnePlus Ace 6 China Telecom listing reveals that it measures 163.41 x 77.04 x 8.32mm and weighs 213 grams. While the company has confirmed many details about its display, it is yet to disclose the screen size. The premature listing shows that the Ace 6 is equipped with a 6.83-inch display that supports a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels.

Photography is not the major strength of the Ace 6, which could be the reason why the brand has not revealed any of its camera specifications. The China Telecom listing reveals that it features a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system.

The Ace 6 will be available in multiple configurations, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. Once announced, the device is expected to go on sale by Oct. 31 in China. It will be available in three shades: Black, Quick Silver, and Flash White.

Other reports have revealed that the OnePlus Ace 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 7,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It is also confirmed to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, a metal middle frame, and an IP68/69/69K-rated body.

Upcoming flagships using TSMC’s 2nm chips could see notable price hikes

Apple’s 2026 iPhone lineup might be heading for a price bump, thanks to rising chip costs that could hit the company’s bottom line—and your wallet. A new report out of Taiwan suggests that Apple’s upcoming A20 processor, built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 2nm process, will be significantly more expensive to produce than current chips.

According to China Times, TSMC plans to raise prices for its 2nm wafers by as much as 50% compared to the 3nm N3P process used for the iPhone 17‘s A19 chip. Notably, the N3P node came with a noticeable cost jump over the A18 used in the iPhone 16. Apple managed to keep retail prices steady last year by absorbing those costs—but that might not be possible this time around.

Analysts warn that if Apple doesn’t find ways to offset the added expense, the base iPhone 18 could start $50–$100 higher than the iPhone 17, potentially crossing the $849 mark in the US.

This pricing pressure isn’t unique to Apple, though. The same process node will be used to fabricate upcoming Qualcomm and MediaTek flagships that will power almost all Android phones on the market.

To complicate matters, reports suggest Apple could shake up its release schedule in 2026. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to arrive in the usual fall window, while the standard iPhone 18 might slip into early 2027, launching alongside a rumored iPhone 18e—a more affordable model that could replace the current SE line. This staggered rollout could help Apple manage production costs and give its long-rumored iPhone Fold room to shine.

The shift to 2nm will hopefully bring major efficiency gains and set a new performance standard for mobile chips, but it also highlights a growing challenge: how to keep prices in check as manufacturing becomes increasingly complex. With competitors like Oppo and Xiaomi offering high-end phones for hundreds less, Apple and Samsung will have to justify every dollar of their premium pricing.

If the rumors hold true, 2026’s iPhone lineup could mark a turning point—not just for Apple’s design and performance, but for how far consumers are willing to stretch for the latest tech.

Leica M EV1 Camera Announced with Real-Time Exposure Preview and Content Credentials Support

Leica Camera AG has announced the Leica M EV1, the first M-System camera with an integrated electronic viewfinder (EVF). The camera is designed to make focusing simpler and more accurate, especially when using fast Summilux or Noctilux lenses with shallow depth of field, or when shooting with ultra-wide, telephoto, or macro lenses.

The Leica M EV1 features a 5.76-megapixel electronic viewfinder that delivers high clarity and natural color reproduction. It provides a real-time exposure preview, showing exactly how the image will appear based on focal length and aperture. Users can view exposure settings such as shutter speed, ISO, and exposure value around the frame. The view automatically switches between the EVF and the touchscreen via an eye sensor. A dioptre adjustment wheel allows customization from -4 to +2 for comfortable use.

Focus assist tools such as focus peaking and focus zoom help users achieve sharp results in manual focus. The traditional front lever, previously used for frame preview, now activates features like focus assist or digital zoom (1.3x or 1.8x).

Built on the Leica M11 platform, the M EV1 uses a full-frame BSI-CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology, capturing images at 60, 36, or 18 megapixels. The Maestro III processor handles image data quickly, storing it on a 64 GB internal memory or SD card. Files can be saved in DNG or JPEG format. The camera connects easily through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cable and supports the Leica FOTOS App for image transfer. It also supports Content Credentials for image authenticity verification.

Price and availability

The Leica M EV1 will be available starting October 23, 2025, at Leica Store Amsterdam, Leica Store Lisse, and authorized dealers in the Netherlands for €7,950 including VAT. A matching leather handgrip will be available for €395.

OpenAI just launched a browser and Google should be worried

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, a new AI-powered browser that integrates its popular chatbot directly into the browsing experience. The company made the browser available on macOS this week, with support for Windows, iOS, and Android expected soon. Atlas is free to download and supports all ChatGPT account tiers, including Free, Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise.

ChatGPT Atlas replaces the traditional address bar with a chat-based interface, allowing direct interaction with AI features across any webpage. It eliminates the need to switch tabs or copy text, providing assistance in real time. The built-in sidebar enables ChatGPT to summarize articles, answer queries, and assist in completing tasks using the live content of the page.

OpenAI also introduces Agent Mode, a premium feature for Plus and Business subscribers. It enables ChatGPT to handle multi-step actions like online shopping, topic research, and automating routine workflows. It supports contextual assistance, allowing users to highlight text in emails, documents, or invites and receive help directly within the same tab.

The browser includes memory features that let ChatGPT retain browsing context, allowing it to resume tasks such as job searches, list creation, or content summarization. It also offers privacy controls that enable users to disable memory, switch to incognito mode, and limit visibility on specific websites.

Atlas allows data import from Google Chrome, including bookmarks, passwords, and browsing history. It can be set as the default browser through the settings menu, and new users receive higher rate limits during the first week.

OpenAI said the browser is part of its broader effort to reshape how users interact with the web. The launch comes amid growing competition from Google’s Gemini-powered Chrome and other AI-first browsers like Perplexity’s Comet.

According to OpenAI, ChatGPT now serves over 800 million weekly active users. The company aims to expand that number further by integrating AI tools directly into core digital workflows.

Razer has launched the Raiju V3 Pro, a new wireless gaming controller for PlayStation 5 built for professional and competitive players.

The Raiju V3 Pro comes with symmetrical TMR (Tension Magnetic Resistance) thumbsticks that offer consistent tension, prevent drift, and provide accurate inputs for FPS, fighting, and action games. The caps are swappable for different grip preferences, and the design helps reduce power use for longer battery life.

Razer Pro HyperTriggers let players switch between rapid-fire mouse clicks or full analog trigger control. Through Razer Synapse 4, users can adjust trigger actuation points to match their playstyle, whether they want quick shots in shooters or gradual control in racing games.

The controller includes four removable mouse-click back buttons and two claw grip bumpers that can be remapped. These are powered by Razer’s fast and tactile switches, giving immediate response and solid feedback during gameplay.

The Mecha-Tactile PBT action buttons and 8-way floating D-pad are made from doubleshot PBT materials, which resist wear and keep their texture after long use.
