Yes, we are equally surprised, but a leaker has namedropped the Honor 50 when we are yet to even see the Honor 40. A tweet by the leaker that goes by @RODENT950 has said that the Honor 50 will launch before the Huawei P50. We are not sure if Honor plans to launch the Honor 50 in place of the Honor 40 or if it plans to launch both devices one after the other.
The Huawei P50 has had to be delayed: the phone which was reported to launch this month is now said to be scheduled for a possible release in June, no thanks to supply chain issues that the company is facing. There is no official confirmation that the launch will happen in June, so we won’t rule out the possibility of it arriving earlier or even later.
However, if the tweet above is true, we can infer that Honor will launch its own flagship phone, the Honor 50, before the Huawei P50’s announcement in June or whenever it might be.
This new info is still unconfirmed, so we will advise you to take it with a pinch of salt until more details surface.
Teclast has revealed that its first 5G tablet will be unveiled soon. The brand disclosed recently (via IThome) that the tablet will be called T40 5G and is already in the prototype stage with the release expected as soon as it passes the functional tests.
Perhaps, the most interesting part of the announcement is the disclosure that the T40 5G will be powered by the UNISOC Tiger T7520 chip. The Tiger T7520 processor is a 5G chipset and the first to be built using a 6nm EUV process. The 6nm process has an increased transistor density of 18% compared to the 7nm process. It also brings a reduction in the power consumption by 8% over its predecessor. The T7520 chipset was first announced in February last year with the release set for early 2021. Thus, the Teclast T40 may be the first device to utilize the chipset.
Teclast didn’t release further details of the T40 5G but the brand launched a 4G version of the T40 towards the end of last month. The Teclast T40 4G is powered by a UNISOC Tiger T618 processor. The tablet features a 10.4-inch fullscreen display with a 2K resolution. The tablet also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory. Keeping the lights on is a massive 8000mAh battery. The T40 4G equally features four stereo speakers and a gyroscope. We expected the 5G version to retain most of these configurations including the display size. The major difference will be the 5G chipset and perhaps more RAM and storage options.
Teclast is yet to release the launch itinerary for the T40 5G. We’ll keep you updated when more details emerge.

Xiaomi has launched a new smart home product that is presently on sale via the Youpin platform. The Xiaomi Smoke Detector, as it is called, is a product jointly created by Xiaomi and Honeywell and the logos of the two brands are printed at the front of the device.
The smoke detector/alarm is certified by China’s 3C as a fire protection product meaning that it has a high level of reliability. It can be paired with the MIJIA app to form part of the smart home ecosystem. In this regard, the product uses Bluetooth 5.0 connection mode, which means it needs to be used with a Bluetooth gateway such as Xiaomi smart speakers. As a matter of fact, Xiaomi had earlier launched a smoke detector some years back but that model uses a WiFi gateway which is the major difference with this model.
Just like the previous model, the Xiaomi Smoke Detector uses an optical labyrinth design, which can detect smoke particles produced by a fire, and immediately trigger an alarm at the first time.
When a dangerous situation is detected, a strong alarm will be issued through the mobile device. If a false alarm occurs, the user can use the MIJIA app on the mobile phone to mute the sound remotely.
The smoke detector has its own loudspeaker, which can emit an alarm sound of 80dB loudness within 3 meters, allowing family members to respond and deal with it in time. The outer shell of the product is made of anti-UV material, which is not easy to turn yellow after long-term use. The alarm also has an anti-insect net to ensure sensitive detection parts are not obscured by insects.
In addition, it uses CR17450 specification disposable lithium-manganese battery with a capacity of 2400mAh and a battery life of up to 5 years. The gadget can either be screwed to the wall or stamped on the wall surface as desired. The installation plate, screws, battery, and other accessories are included in the package, and users do not need to buy them separately.
Xiaomi Smoke Detector is priced at 149 yuan (~$22) and is presently available in China via Xiaomi Youpin. We expect it to be released overseas in due course.
Samsung is likely to launch Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and S7 Lite 5G in a couple of months. Among these, the render of the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G has now appeared online.
Shared by Evan Blass on Voice, the post shows the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G. If you recall, an earlier report said that the device would launch in four colors- Black, Silver, Pink, and Green. And the render shared by Evan shows the device in a Mystic Black color variant.
Talking about the image, the device looks a lot like its sibling Galaxy Tab S7. We have a magnetic attachment on the Aluminum back panel for holding the S-Pen. And speaking of which, the renders show that the device will most likely have the S-Pen support.
Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G render, Credit: Evan Blass/ Voice
That said, Considering Samsung made users buy the S-Pen for the Galaxy Tab S7 separately, we can expect the same for the ‘Lite’ variant. Moving on, the device has USB-C and speakers at the bottom, while the top has another speaker to probably complete the stereo setup.
Also, there are dual-cameras on the back just like the Galaxy Tab S7 but we will have to wait for the official word to know if it will have the same 13MP and 8MP sensors. Upfront, we have a display that is said to be a 12.4-inch LCD panel with noticeable bezels around on all sides.
The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite will likely launch in certain markets in two models- 4G LTE (SM-T735) and Wi-Fi only (SM-T730). However, Europe is said to get a 5G variant instead of 4G. Geekbench listings suggest that the 5G variant will have Snapdragon 750G chipset.
Other expected features include Galaxy Continuity(using a tablet as a secondary screen for their Galaxy smartphone), at least 4GB of RAM, and run Android 11 OS. We can expect the device to launch in June / July 2021.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G features a 6.49 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and Android 10 + OxygenOS 10.5. It is powered by a Qualcomm SM6350 Snapdragon 690 5G processor and comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone sports a quad-camera set up with a 64 MP (wide) main camera and 8 MP (ultrawide) + 5MP (depth) + 2 MP (macro) cameras. The selfie cam is a 16MP front-facing camera. Fueled with a 4300mAh battery this phone supports 30W fast charging. For more information check out this article on Gizmochina.

If you are wondering if the spanking new Axon 30 Ultra will be available outside China, then there is good news. ZTE has announced that the new flagship will be available for its international fans.
According to a Weibo post by ZTE Mobile, the company operates in more than 100 countries and it is aware that it has lots of fans outside China. In that light, it will be bringing the Axon 30 Ultra to them via its international website, ztedevices.com.
This is the same platform it announced the Axon 20 5G last year. However, we hope ZTE doesn’t repeat the “invite-first” sale method but makes it available for open sale once it is listed. ZTE ships the Axon 20 5G to more than 40 countries according to the information on the site, so we expect the Axon 30 Ultra will be available to these markets too. It has also been reported by The Verge that it will be sold in the US and Canada.
When will it be available? ZTE didn’t say neither did it reveal the price tag. Seeing as the Axon 20 5G wasn’t available until three months after its launch in China, there is a possibility that the Axon 30 Ultra will not be available so soon.
The Axon 30 Ultra has a Snapdragon 888 processor; four rear cameras, three of which are 64MP sensors; while it has up to 16GB of RAM, it appears only the 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM variants will be available outside China. The phone has a curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 4600mAh battery, and support for 66W fast wired charging.
Xiaomi just held a two-day launch event to announce a bunch of products for both China and global markets. Within a month, the company has scheduled another event for tomorrow (April 16) to unveil Mi TV EA 2022 lineup.

Further, all these variants will feature a unibody metal design with a full-screen display. The teaser renders barely show any bezel. Lastly, the 50-inch and above versions have been confirmed to come with better color standards, various display adjustment features, and far-field microphones for voice control.
Apart from the official teasers, these televisions have also been certified by 3C. According to the certifications, each model is being manufactured by multiple companies.
Mi TV EA 2022 32-inch (L32M7-EA)
TCL OVERSEAS ELECTRONICS (HUIZHOU) CO., LTD
Hefei Huikejinyang Technology Co., Ltd

Interestingly, there’s no 3C certification for the 75-inch variant. But however, there is another 75-inch Mi TV with model number L75M7-Z1.
Anyway, we expect to learn everything about these Xiaomi televisions tomorrow when they will be officially presented.
Redmi gaming phone is confirmed to launch by the end of this month, i.e, April 2021. Ahead of the launch, it has appeared on the 3C certification website.
A Redmi smartphone with model number M2104K10AC appears on 3C certification database. If you recall, this device is said to launch as the Redmi’s first gaming phone. Anyway, the certification shows that the device is rated for a maximum of 67W charging.
Considering it’s a gaming phone, it will most likely be a wired charging. That said, 67W charging isn’t new to Xiaomi. Recently, Mi 11 Ultra debuted with 67W wired+ wireless. Do note that this is not the fastest charging protocol that Xiaomi has unveiled.
The company brought Mi 10 Ultra last year and it had up to 120W charging support. That being said, this 67W charging support, goes in line with the earlier report as well. So, it’s just a matter of time till the company confirms itself.
Also, if you note the charger, it has a model number MDY-12-EF which is the same one that got certified under Xiaomi a while ago. It’s great to see Redmi get the latest tech as Xiaomi’s top-of-the-line flagship and the adaption is faster than before.
Redmi has already confirmed that its first gaming phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. The device is said to feature a special “Call Of Duty” Theme, optimized for “PeaceKeeper Elite” with better haptic vibrations, etc.
While the other specs aren’t confirmed, it is likely to come with a 5,000mAh battery, 64MP Sony IMX686 camera, run MIUI 12.5 out of the box. Also, there are reports that this device could launch under ‘POCO’ branding in India. Let’s wait for more info in the coming days.

Ni Fei, the president of ZTE Mobile Devices, revealed that the Axon 30 is coming and it will have an under-display camera. The manufacturer explained that the device was delayed due to the current global chip shortage among other issues. Nevertheless, he says the phone will arrive soon.
The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset like its other siblings that were announced today, though we won’t be surprised if it comes with a different chipset entirely. It should also run Android 11 with ZTE’s new MyOS interface on top.
Chinese tech powerhouse Huawei has endured a very vicious campaign of sanctions and restrictions within the last two years, but it seems the company is still riding strong amidst the storm. Huawei has continued on a positive development trajectory, with several patents emanating from the company in recent times.
The current Huawei rotating Chairman Xu Zhijun has disclosed that the company projects 2030 as the launch date for its next-generation 6G technology deployment. The 6G network will be 50 times faster than 5G, further enhancing the current 5G technology which is still at its developmental stage in various parts of the world. According to the Huawei chairman, a 6G white paper that will provide the necessary details on the technology for industry regulators and players will be unveiled soon.
Xu’s announcement is bound to keep Huawei’s competitors on their feet, as it indicates progress the company had made even in the height of stiff restrictions by the United States Government and some of its allies. Huawei continues to blaze the trail among its competitors in several aspects of the technology spectrum, including communication, where it remains the undisputed leader in 5G technology.
As Huawei continues to extend technology’s frontiers through its numerous innovations, possibilities continue to unfurl for it to deploy 6G technology. The speed of the 6G network massively outclasses that of 5G up to 50 times. It is far superior to 5G in terms of the key performance indicators and metrics like peak rate, delay, traffic density, connection density, mobility, and spectrum efficiency.
The expected benefits of 6G communications networks are pretty mouthwatering. With ultra-high network speeds never before seen, the world will become more connected, and several tasks still challenging to accomplish using 5G will become routine. The impact on the health, automobile, economic and technological space will be significant if indeed Huawei can pull this achievement in 2030.
The new report would help to boost fans’ confidence in the brand amidst the protracted sanctions.

Samsung leads the foldable smartphone category with its Galaxy Z series. Currently, the company sells two types of foldable phones and both of them have a single hinge. However, there have been reports in the past regarding a tri-fold Galaxy tablet. According to our source, such a device is indeed in development and may launch as soon as next year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 | Source: Samsung
GizmoChina has partnered with tipster Yogesh to bring you fresh information about the upcoming Samsung tri-fold tablet. As per our source, this device will launch as Galaxy Z Fold Tab in Q1 2022.
The previous leak about this product suggested that it will be releasing in 2021. Unfortunately, that will not be the case. However, we may or may not see a teaser for it during the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 launch event, which could take place in early August. This is still being debated by Samsung’s marketing team.
Further, the main highlight of the Galaxy Z Fold Tab apart from its tri-folding capability will be support for hybrid S Pen. This stylus will make its debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 in a few months from now. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about this Bluetooth-enabled stylus except that it will be different from the older S Pens.
Lastly, the forthcoming tri-fold tablet will also sport a better UTG (ultra-thin glass) than the current generation. This new thickened reinforced glass will be introduced in the Galaxy Z Fold2 successor. Essentially, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will be a testbed for Samsung’s first folding tablet.
Anyway, the above-mentioned specifics of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab stand true only as of the current development cycle. The final product may vary depending on changes undertaken by the engineering team in the next few months before the design is finalized.

AMD has launched the Ryzen 5000G series CPUs, packed with sufficient processing power to make playing current-generation PC games a great experience. The 5000G series, a follow-up to the Ryzen 4000G series, offers some exciting graphic quality and a higher processor capacity.
The Ryzen 5000G series CPUs combine Zen 3 processing capabilities with Vega 8 integrated graphics to produce a fairly above-average GPU performance. The added advantage is that there will be no need to buy a video card for optimal gaming performance.
The base products are the Ryzen 3 5300G, with a 4GHz base clock at 65W TDP, and the 5300GE, with a 3.6GHz base clock at low-power 35W TDP. These may apply to a segment of the market, but the current lineup pick would undoubtedly be the high-end models. These are the Ryzen 5600GE, with a 3.4GHz base clock, the 5600G having a 3.9GHz clock, the 5700GE, and the 3.8GHz 5700G. These models are very appealing and are capable of displaying standard 3D games. However, the current AMD lineup is still a bit lower in terms of capacity than the premium offerings in the segment.
AMD claims that the Ryzen 5700G can be up to 80% faster than Intel’s Core i7-10700 in several areas, including creativity, productivity, and app performance. AMD also says that the models are capable of frame rates above 30FPS, generally better than what obtains on Intel Core i7, for several popular games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Metro Exodus, and Civilization VI. Although AMD’s claims may not provide the complete picture, it is worth considering the series if the interest is gaming-oriented.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series is considered the benchmark for Smartphone cameras. These devices still hold their lead for the best camera in a smartphone. The Korean giant did put a ton of effort to make them the way we see today. Anyone into smartphone cameras knows that Google Camera (or simply GCam) is one of the best camera apps for smartphone. This is because Google processes images like no other. So in this guide will tell you how to download GCam for Galaxy S21 series.
We are as curious as you are to see if the GCam outperforms the native camera app of the Galaxy S21 series. Whenever a new smartphone is launched, developers always make a port of the GCam app. By the grace of the developers Arnova8G2 and BSG, we now have 2 varieties of the same app to choose from. We expect that at least one of these apps should work on your brand new Galaxy S21.
Steps to Download GCam for Galaxy S21 Series
We’ll start by downloading both the ports. This step is crucial, as there is a high chance
that only one of the app will work on your device, and we don’t know which. So make
sure that you download both of them from the following links.
Download Arnova8G2 GCam 8.1 APK
(We know that whenever we download an Android application from anywhere other than
Google Play Store, our device will warn us of malicious software. Simply ignore it and proceed with the download.)
Once the download is complete open the file. Enable unknown sources if
necessary.
Click on install, and wait for the installation to complete.
Once complete, click on done, and you can now open the app from the App drawer.
If the one you installed isn’t working, try the alternate one.
If everything goes as expected, you will now be able to use GCam without any
hassle.
GCam 8.1 offers everything that was there with the previous releases. It also introduces
the following features.
All the functionality from GCam 7.4 and 7.3 are preserved as it is.
Quick Zoom
Cinematic Pan
Improved Super Res Zoom
Night Sight Portrait Mode
You can now use the popular features of the GCam like Night Sight, Astrophotography, and more. You can enable them by going to Settings > Advanced.
Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra Specs
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was launched early this year with a 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED display sporting 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered with Snapdragon 888 in the USA and China, while the rest of the world enjoys it with Exynos 2100. The smartphone sports a powerful quad-rear camera featuring a 108MP primary lens, a 10 MP periscope sensor, a 10MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. A 40MP sensor resides on the front for selfies.
The Galaxy S21+ smartphone comes with the same chipset and houses a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. However, a triple-camera replaces the quad-rear camera with a 13MP primary sensor, 64MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, the device features a 10MP selfie sensor.
The last but not least, Galaxy S21 houses a 6.2-inch Dynamic OLED display with 1300 nits brightness and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. A similar camera setup as the Galaxy S21+ is present on the standard variant too.
We hope you were able to install the GCam on your Galaxy S21. Do let us know in the
comments how it competes with the native camera app of the device. Please note that
the app is only a copy of the original, and there will definitely be bumps and kinks here

ASML CEO believes that the attempt to control the export of chips to China will not work. The executive said that this would not only fail to hinder the region’s technological progress but also end up hurting the US economy as well.
According to a Bloombergreport, Peter Wennink, the CEO of ASML Holding believes that trying to control chip export to the region will be detrimental to the US. This move arrives amid growing trade tensions between the US and China, which had also led to restrictions on the sale of the Dutch company’s advanced equipment to Chinese firms. The senior official said that “I believe that export controls are not the right way to manage your economic risks if you have determined that there is an economic risk,” during an online event.
The executive further argued that “you close China from access to technology, that will also cost non-Chinese economies a lot of jobs and a lot of income.” Wennink believes that while it may take China a while to build its own semiconductor equipment and technology due to lack of access to foreign technology, non China based firms will be barred from one of the world’s largest chip markets.
In other words, this would harm even US based companies that trade with China. The CEO also stated that ending ties with China completely could probably cost anywhere between 80 billion to 100 billion US Dollars in sales. Furthermore, it could also affect 125,000 jobs in the US as well, as per estimates from the US Commerce Department.
