Xiaomi‘s mobile gaming brand Black Shark went official with two new gaming smartphones a few days back. The Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro immediately went on reservation after the launch event and despite their heft price offering, both models have collectively garnered over 5 million reservations. 
While this isn’t pre-orders as it didn’t require anyone to pay part or in full, the reservation is an indication of the huge amount of interests the Black Shark 3 curries. We expect the first flash sale which should hold pretty soon to swiftly get sold out.
The Black Shark 3 features a refreshed design with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset at he helms bringing 5G connectivity to the mix. The flagship gaming rig presents with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM.
The Black Shark 3 features a 6.67-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 270 Hz touch sampling rate, while the Black Shark 3 Pro 7.1-inch AMOLED panel with a Quad HD+ 3120 x 1440p resolution display. The models come with 65W fast-charging capabilities. but you get a 4720mAh battery onboard the Black Shark 3 while the Pro version increases the battery size to 5000mAh
Pricing for the Black Shark 3 8GB+128GB version starts at 3,499 yuan ($500) and the Black Shark 3 Pro starts at 4,699 yuan (~$674) for the 8GB+256GB version.
