It has been nearly two weeks since the launch of the Motorola Razr but it appears Motorola still has at least one more phone to launch before the year runs out. The manufacturer has announced that it will unveil a new device on the 3rd of December in Brazil, and based on the teaser poster, we know the launch is for the Motorola One Hyper.
The Motorola One Hyper will be the first phone from the manufacturer with a pop-up selfie camera. Live photos and specs of the device leaked last month and they revealed the phone will have a 32MP pop-up selfie camera that slides out from the top right corner while the rear will house 64MP + 8MP dual camera sensors.
The phone is said to support 4K video recording at 30fps, 1080p slow-motion recording at 120fps, and HD slow-motion recording at 240fps.
The rest of the specs are a 6.39-inch LCD FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 675 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It will also have NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and an audio jack. The leak also revealed it has a 3600mAh battery with support for 15W TurboCharge and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The poster says the event will begin at 9:30 am local time but there is no info about the venue.
This may not be the last Motorola phone to launch this year as the Moto G8 has still not been announced.
During the Indiegogo campaign for the powerful and portable Chuwi UBook Pro that comes with Core m3- 8100Y CPU and 8GB/128GB configuration, the Chinese manufacturer introduced the HiPen H6 Stylus with 4096 pressure points, an upgrade over the 2048 points of the previous model. What’s more interesting is the fact that, besides UBook Pro, the HiPen is compatible with Microsoft’s Surface tablets and laptops too!
Using HiPen H6 in conjunction with a professional drawing software allows the user to draw lines using the 4096 pressure levels and achieve different thicknesses. The more pressure sensitivity a stylus has, the more you will be able to vary the size of your strokes with pressure.
Also, taking notes or editing a document is more comfortable thanks to the palm rejection of the tablet software as well as the HiPen’s ability to perceive your palm intelligently. Multi-touch displays can recognize the writing of the stylus just right.
The combination of a high-density Li-ion battery and intelligent power management of the HiPen H6 provides up to 90 days of continuous writing and up to 180 days of standby. And if the battery goes to 0%, it can be quickly recharged via a microUSB port. Instead of replacing AAAA batteries as frequently as a regular stylus, it can be more economical without purchasing a battery.
The Chuwi HiPen H6 uses the MPP that stands for Microsoft Pen Protocol that is the same used on Microsoft’s Surface devices so it works flawlessly on them too. The big difference between Chuwi’s and Microsoft’s own stylus is that it costs just 1/5 the price of a surface pen! If you want to learn more about it, visit the official product page. You can also participate in the UBook Pro Giveaway.

The Redmi K30 will be Redmi’s first 5G smartphone but it appears there will be a 4G variant too. This should have a cheaper price tag and will most likely be the variant that will launch in countries where 5G is yet to go mainstream. Specs of this 4G variant have now leaked on Weibo.
These specs are a bit similar to those that leaked yesterday but there are some key differences too. According to the source who goes by Meng Chen Guangyu, the Redmi K30 4G will have a 6.66-inch FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is an LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Redmi will use COF packaging technology for production and the phone will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The leakster adds that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor which is a more powerful version of the Snapdragon 730 inside the Redmi K20. The base model will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage but we expect there will be an 8GB RAM model and storage variants will reach 256GB.
Unlike yesterday’s leak which said the primary rear camera is a 60MP Sony IMX686, this one says the primary rear camera is a 64MP sensor and it is paired with an 8MP telephoto camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP sensor which should be for macro photography. The selfie cameras are also different. Rather than a 32MP + ToF sensor, this says it is a 20MP + 2MP depth sensor.
The Redmi K30 4G will have multi-function NFC, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Its battery is also not 5000mAh but 4500mAh which is still bigger than that of its predecessor. There is also support for 27W fast charge just like w have on the Mi 9. The phone will run MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box and have a starting price of ¥1999 (~$285).
Just like yesterday’s leak, we advise you to take the above specs with a grain of salt.

A couple of days back, we reported that Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu believed Huawei could have been the world’s largest smartphone marker, surpassing Samsung in 2019, if not for the U.S. ban. But that doesn’t rule out the possibility of Huawei becoming world’s no.1 even with the ban in place.
Huawei’s CEO and founder, Ren Zhengfei said in an interview with CNN that Huawei can become the world’s no.1 smartphone maker even without Google. When asked whether the company had a backup plan, Ren said that Huawei is working on a large scale solution to tackle this situation. He was likely referring to the company’s own HarmonyOS platform that was announced back in August in China.
He also said that he doesn’t know whether Google was ‘definitively ‘denied a license to trade with Huawei. This response comes at a time when some companies have been granted a license to trade with the telecommunications giant. For example, Microsoft recently got a license to export software to Huawei by the U.S. commerce department. Thanks to the trade license, Microsoft could supply Windows 10 to Huawei’s new MateBook D notebooks in China.
However, the real question in our minds is whether Google will ever receive a license to trade with Huawei. It’s been six months since the U.S. ban came into effect and newly launched Huawei smartphones do not feature Google apps which have become more or less essential for international users. And without Google, Huawei smartphones are basically dead on arrival in the international markets.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro is one of the best smartphones in the market today but does not come with Google apps
But today’s comment reveals that Ren is pretty optimistic about Huawei’s comeback. He added in the interview that it was a matter of waiting for some time until Huawei got back into the international markets. According to Ren, Huawei will make a comeback in the next two years.
“We will have to resort to alternatives. If those alternatives become mature, I think it’ll become less likely to switch back to previous versions,” added Ren at the interview “It is a critical moment for all of us, I hope the US government can consider what’s best for American companies.”
While we still don’t know what Huawei is planning for the international markets without Google, it’s current strategy has been to double down its efforts in China. And thanks to the sales boosts in its home market, the company is doing better than most other smartphone companies on a global scale.
Xiaomi recently introduced a new color variant for the Redmi Note 8 smartphone — Nebula Purple. Now, the company has teased the Cosmic Purple color variant in the Indian market but has not yet revealed the launch date.
For those who are unaware, the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones were launched in India last month. The Redmi Note 8 was made available in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black colors.
The smartphone features a 6.3-inch display with waterdrop notch. The IPS LCD screen supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front and rear sides of the Redmi Note 8 are reinforced with Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 mobile platform. Its highest variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes wuth a microSD card slot that enables users to further expand the storage capacity.
As for the cameras, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the back side, the phone features a quad camera system with a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.79 aperture, a 120-degree 8-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel super macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The phone features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and carries support for face unlock. It also runs MIUI 10 custom user interface which is based on Android 9 Pie operating system and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 in this new Cosmic Purple color option will be available for purchase in India from 29th November at 12:00 PM. The phone’s pricing starts at ₹9,999 in India.
Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company Roidmi has launched the Roidmi Car Air Purifier P6 in China. The product comes more than a year after the last model was launched. However, this version comes with a cheaper retail price of 499 yuan ($70).
The Roidmi Car Air Purifier P6 uses a brushless DC motor and a unique two-wheel mirror fan design to achieve more powerful air inlet/outlet efficiency. The CADR value is 50m³ / h for particulate matter and 20m³ /h for formaldehyde. This is slightly lesser than that of last year but can completely eliminate impurities from the air inside a car in just 3.5 minutes.
In the face of increasingly turbid air, the car air purifier P6 multi-effect composite filter can effectively adsorb formaldehyde, PM2.5 particles and odours in the car. The body-type 360 ° barrel filter element design fully increases the contact area between the filter element and the polluted air, effectively improving the purification capacity.
On the basis of maintaining a large air volume, the noise reduction design is optimized to reduce the absorption noise from the source. The noise level is 55dB which can hardly be heard when the vehicle is moving.
Further, the Roidmi P6 Car Air Purifier utilises an innovative strap-on design of the same safety standard as car seat belts. The car air purifier can be stably positioned without fear of bumpy roads, ensuring stability and safety.
MediaTek, the chip-making company, is projected to see a sizeable growth of 20 percent in terms of sales volume in 2020. The boost in numbers arrives after its announcement of its latest mobile SoC which boasts 5G networking capabilities. The company has invested billions of dollars in 5G technology development with thousands of research specialists and is confident in its products capabilities.
According to a new report, MediaTek’s sales will grow to 9.84 billion US dollars in the Q1 of 2020. The number is about 20 percent higher than the company’s expected sales in 2019. The U.S. securities house published a research note that predicts the boom owing to the new Dimensity 1000 SoC (MediaTek’s first 5G networking capable chipset) which was announced on Tuesday.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000
The Dimensity 1000 SoC is targetting the Chinese markets according to analysts. This includes manufacturing giants as clients such as Xiaomi and Oppo. The new 5G chipset uses the advance 7nm process of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) which is the world’s largest contract chipmaker. It is expected that the new SoC will hit the markets in the first quarter of 2020.
Notably, the US brokerage reported that the Dimensity 1000 SoC is twice as fast as the Kirin 990 and Exynos 980 chipsets; which are proprietary SoC’s made by HiSilicon Technologies from Huawei and Samsung respectively. It is also being claimed that it can rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 5G chips but the exact model was not mentioned. Unfortunately, we will have to wait till the official launch for real life tests.
Mediatek 5G SOC
The Dimensity 1000 could usher in a new wave of smartphones equipped with MediaTek’s processors. It is being forecasted by the brokerage that the company will ship about 60 million units of the latest chip in 2020. Additionally, MediaTek is also partnering up with the American tech giant, Intel, for the development of 5G chips for notebook computers.
Blackview has had a long-standing relationship with MediaTek with its recent smartphones like the BV9900 featuring the Helio P90 chipset inside. Today, the Chinese rugged smartphone maker has confirmed that it will launch its first 5G rugged flagship next year. What’s even more interesting is that Blackview confirmed the 5G phone will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset.
5G seems to be a hot feature among smartphone manufacturers this year with all major tech giants releasing at least one 5G model in the market. However, the competition for 5G will further intensify in 2020, with more manufacturers, including ones like Blackview expected to join the party.
Blackview’s smartphones are usually pretty affordable, so we would have expected it to feature something like the upcoming mid-range MT6873 chipset from MediaTek. So the jump to MT6889 Dimensity 1000 is a big deal for the rugged smartphone maker.
Rugged smartphones are usually placed between low-end and mid-range with a core focus on its rugged features. But with 5G and Dimensity 1000, things could get really exciting in the rugged smartphone market. You could finally get a smartphone that’s rugged, powerful like a flagship, and affordable at the same time. Notably, even Ulefone has confirmed a 5G rugged smartphone based on the same Dimensity 1000 chipset.
As of now, that’s all we know about the upcoming Blackview rugged flagship. We can expect more details in the coming weeks.
Historically, Apple has primarily relied on Chinese manufacturers and their home facilities for the mass production of their iPhone lineups. However, in recent times the American company has been taking planned downsizing steps in the region whilst investing its production in other countries such as India and Vietnam. Now, Apple is starting to export from India after Foxconn started the production of the iPhone XR.
iPhone XR Camera
According to a report, Apple will see an export doubling its value to $3.2 billion this fiscal year. The Cupertino-based company is set to increase its manufacturing and financial commitment within the Indian subcontinent. Ravi Shankar Prasad, IT and Electronics Minister, met Foxconn officials that stated that the iPhone XR model is now being made in the Chennai (Tami Nadu) factory in South India. Initially, Apple had first invested in Indian production and manufacturing via Wistron. It is another Taiwanese maker similar to Foxconn but is based in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Foxconn Group Chairman, Terry Gou, stated that the company is looking at the beginning of mass production of iPhones in India. This is in line with the Indian Government’s interests as the country wishes to be a preferred manufacturing destination for electronics based companies. India is known to levy import duties and tariffs on foreign imports. However, the country also helps incentivize foreign manufacturers to set up production within India. Notable examples include major brands such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and LG.
iPhone XR (Black)
Local manufacturing also ensures that Apple can avoid the 20% duty that the Indian Government has mandated for imported devices. Thus, the American tech giant is hopeful of pricing its handset offerings more aggressively within the second-largest smartphone market in the world after China.

Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro was announced earlier this month in China with a massive 108MP sensor at the back. The phone had a special CC9 Pro Premium edition as well featuring the world’s first 8P lens on a smartphone. However, ever since its launch, this special edition was pretty hard to purchase due to supply issues. That changed recently as the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition is now available via open sale in China.
Xiaomi’s product manager Thomas Wang revealed that the company was struggling to procure a steady supply of the 8P lens in the first two weeks post-launch due to low production yield. However, the supply has stabilized now which allowed Xiaomi to list the Premium Edition on open sale. This particular edition is available on the company’s official website in 8GB RAM + 256GB variant for 3499 yuan ($498).
The Mi CC9 Pro comes with the mid-range Snapdragon 730G SoC. There’s a powerful penta-camera setup at the back featuring a 108 MP sensor along with a 5 MP (upscaled to 8MP) telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, another 12 MP 50mm (telephoto) 2x optical zoom lens, a 20 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP dedicated macro lens. The Chinese firm has already revealed that the Huawei Nova 6 is fitted with a display that features a pill-shaped punch-hole at the upper-left corner. Probably, it could be housing the same 6.57-inch IPS LCD display that is available on the Honor V30. The punch-hole houses two cameras sensors out of which one is a 32-megapixel sensor. The company has confirmed that the phone will allow user to capture 105-degree wide-angle selfie shots.

Huawei has been setting a couple of notable milestones lately. The company has seen a huge boost in terms of sales despite the US ban. Now, the Chinese company says that its latest software release, EMUI 10, has already been installed in over 1 million devices from both its own expansive smartphone lineup as well as that of sub-brand Honor.
EMUI 10, the latest version of Huawei’s custom software overlay, is based on the latest Android 10. Huawei started seeding EMUI 10 in early September with its flagship P30 and P30 Pro smartphones being the first in line to get the beta version.
The latest version of EMUI is an important update for Huawei phones as it improves smoothness and performance on existing devices. The company has even added a system-wide dark mode which even forces apps that don’t have a dark mode to comply.
The system settings are now better organized in this new version and the OS is designed to offer a better experience when working other devices like a Windows 10 laptop. EMUI 10 allows the smartphone to cast its screen directly on to the Windows 10 device, offering a seamless working experience. The update equally brings Android 10-inherent features.
It’s a big improvement over previous versions, and we’re glad to see it’s doing well.
