After teasing the arrival of the iQOO Z10 Turbo+ in China, iQOO has finally confirmed its launch date. Today, iQOO revealed that the Z10 Turbo+, TWS Air 3 Pro, and a power bank will be announced on Aug. 7 in the home market. Here’s a look at the details confirmed about the upcoming devices.

The Z10 Turbo+ is powered by the most powerful MediaTek chipset, the Dimensity 9400+. The phone is backed by a massive 8,000mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging. iQOO claims this setup enables up to 20 hours of gaming in Honor of Kings, nearly 77 hours of music playback, and over 34 hours of voice calls.

The new device is also the first Z-series phone to include the self-developed Q2 gaming chip, designed to improve image clarity, reduce latency, and manage power more efficiently. The gaming enhancements include support for 1.5K resolution and 144fps simultaneously in PUBG Mobile.

The Z10 Turbo+ features a flat OLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 2000nits brightness. The panel is described as delivering an experience close to ultra-premium displays. For thermal management, the device includes the largest 7K vapour chamber cooling system in iQOO’s history. It will be available in three colors: Cloud Sea White, Desert Sand, and Polar Grey.

Alongside the Z10 Turbo+, iQOO is also introducing two new accessories: the iQOO TWS Air3 Pro and a power bank. Confirmed to arrive in white and black options, the TWS Air3 Pro is positioned as the strongest semi-in-ear noise-cancelling earbuds of the year. The brand also confirmed that the power bank will support 22.5W fast charging, but it didn’t reveal its battery capacity.

At the centre of the event was Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio, which includes platforms such as Snapdragon Cockpit, Ride, Ride Flex, Auto Connectivity, and Car-to-Cloud. These solutions are designed to support India’s diverse driving conditions and are already being adopted by leading Indian automakers. Companies like Maruti Suzuki are enhancing their connected vehicle systems, while Mahindra is working with Qualcomm to develop more immersive cabin experiences. Spark Minda is also contributing by developing smarter digital interfaces for drivers.

With over 350 million vehicles globally running on its automotive platforms, Qualcomm has firmly established itself in India. Its engineering operations in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon contribute to telematics, cockpit systems, ADAS, and two-wheeler connectivity.

Qualcomm is also advancing the two-wheeler segment with partners such as Hero MotoCorp, Ultraviolette, Royal Enfield and Pricol. These collaborations are focused on delivering connected cluster systems, real-time telematics, and enhanced rider safety features.

A creative collaboration with will.i.am introduced FYI RAiDiO and Melodic Drive, which use vehicle motion and driver input to generate dynamic musical experiences. Demonstrated in Mahindra’s BE 6 and XEV 9e models, these systems blend technology and entertainment within the driving experience.

The event also marked the first Indian demo of Snapdragon Ride. With a wide network of collaborators, including Bosch, Tata Elxsi, Harman, and ZF, Qualcomm is driving India’s progress toward becoming a global hub for intelligent and connected mobility solutions.

Xiaomi 15T series nears global launch with key certifications in place

The global launch of Xiaomi’s 15T series appears to be just around the corner, as both the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro have cleared major regulatory hurdles. With official certifications now granted in Thailand and Singapore, expectations are rising for an August or September debut.

As of July 30, the Xiaomi 15T (model number 25069PTEBG) received approval from Thailand’s NBTC and Singapore’s IMDA (via Xpertpick), following the 15T Pro’s earlier appearances on multiple certification platforms including the FCC and Geekbench. These developments strongly hint at a global rollout in the coming weeks—right in line with Xiaomi’s usual T-series schedule.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro is rumored to pack the latest Dimensity 9400+ chip, 12GB of RAM, and Android 15 with HyperOS 2. Benchmarks suggest solid performance, with high single- and multi-core scores that put it among the faster phones in its category. It may include a massive 7,500mAh battery and support 120W fast charging.

Camera upgrades are also expected to be a major highlight. The Xiaomi 15T is tipped to feature a triple-camera system with a 50MP OmniVision OVX8000 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto unit. It’s likely to be backed by a 5,500mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging. Leica-branded optics are also in the mix, though full hardware details haven’t been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, a separate Xiaomi device (model 25082RNC1C) recently appeared in China’s 3C database with 33W charging support, possibly a part of the Redmi 15 series that targets the entry-level segment.

With both the 15T and 15T Pro now officially certified, Xiaomi fans won’t have to wait long to see what these budget-friendly flagships bring to the table. Between upgraded cameras, flagship-grade chips, and fast charging, the 15T series could be a serious contender in the mid-range space.

Honor is finally making an Ultra phone

Honor looks set to finally debut an Ultra model in its flagship smartphone lineup. According to a new leak on Weibo by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Honor Magic 8 series will include a Magic 8 Ultra, joining the standard Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro.

The Ultra variant has been rumored since the Magic 7 generation but never actually launched, until now, it seems. 

The Magic 8 Ultra could be the end of the company’s co-branded camera partnership. Instead, the Magic 8 Ultra is expected to feature a self-developed imaging system called AiMage, which will reportedly enable new camera hardware and AI-powered photo features.

Under the hood, the Ultra model is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chip (SM8850). On the camera front, it could feature an OmniVision LOFIC main sensor, along with a 200-megapixel periscope lens

While Honor has made it clear the phone won’t use a 1-inch main camera, the company’s imaging chief, Luo Wei, teased that the Ultra model will deliver a camera experience “no one has ever seen before.”

Luo added that Honor will focus on meaningful hardware improvements, especially in areas where AI alone can’t deliver results. He said the company aims to “leave competitors behind” in the next three years by building products that directly benefit users rather than chasing flashy designs.

According to another tipster who goes by the name Factory Manager Guan (via MyDrivers), Honor will first launch the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro models before unveiling the Magic 8 Ultra. The full lineup is expected to arrive in October and will use both MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 and Qualcomm’s latest flagship chips.

What if it was intentional?

It wouldn’t be the first time a bold, ambiguous image stirred controversy—and brought global attention to a campaign that might have otherwise gone under the radar. In fact, some believe this sketch may have been designed to walk that very line.

Think about it: the core message of the campaign is that creativity has no limits. You can shoot anything. You can draw anything. The tagline practically invites viewers to explore their imaginations. How many times you can unfold Z Fold 7 depends on where you live

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is turning heads with its sleek design and promising specs, but it’s the phone’s durability that’s drawing particular interest. But there’s a new detail that could vary depending on where you live. While the foldable’s upgraded display is built to last longer than ever, its longevity isn’t one-size-fits-all. It turns out: temperature matters.

Samsung Display claims the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s foldable OLED panel is rated for 500,000 folds under standard room temperature — 2.5 times more than the 200,000 folds promised for last year’s Z Fold 6. For heavy users who fold their phone 200 times a day, that translates to over six years of use.

But heat and cold change the game

However, not all climates are created equal — and neither is the Z Fold 7’s endurance across them. According to new data from Samsung Display, extreme temperatures can have a significant impact on the screen’s lifespan. In hotter environments, such as at 60°C (140°F), the panel’s durability drops to 300,000 folds. That’s still a big improvement over the Z Fold 5, which was rated for 150,000 folds under similar conditions.

In freezing temperatures, things get more limiting. At -20°C (-4°F), the display is rated for just 60,000 folds — again, an improvement over the Fold 5’s 30,000, but it works out to only around four years of use if you’re folding it 40 times per day.

To help users get the most out of the device, Samsung recommends using it within a temperature range of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) — the sweet spot where the display can perform at its best.

Despite the limitations, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 still represents a major step forward for foldable phone durability. Whether you’re in a tropical climate or somewhere much colder, the improvements over previous generations are substantial. And for many users in moderate environments, the boost to 500,000 folds could mean years of worry-free use.

Nothing Phone (3) kicks off Android 16 beta with fresh UI upgrade

Nothing is wasting no time pushing the envelope with its new flagship. Just weeks after launch, the company is opening a closed beta program for Android 16 on the Nothing Phone (3), giving users an early look at what’s next in both software features and UI design.

The beta program, based on Android 16 and bundled into Nothing OS 4.0, is currently open to daily users of the Phone (3) who are willing to test new features and provide feedback. While the device ships with Android 15, this closed beta promises “delivering Android 16’s native features as well as implementing a more robust design system which will set the foundation for a more cohesive UI moving forward.”

Participants will need to sign up before 5 PM London time on Sunday, August 3, 2025, through Nothing’s official website. Selected users will receive onboarding instructions the following week. The company is emphasizing regular use, timely feedback, and awareness of privacy guidelines for anyone interested in joining.

Expect some rough edges

The Cupertino based giant’s first foldable may launch for around 15,999 Yuan or about 2,225 US Dollars. However, the Mate XTs tri-folding phone may hit the shelves for about 20,000 Yuan (roughly 2,780 US Dollars).

At this price point, it is a true ultra premium smartphone that would likely interest enthusiasts with a lot of disposable income. Is Xiaomi’s New Periscope Camera on the 16 Pro Not an Upgrade?

According to tipster Kartikey Singh on X, the Chinese tech giant is moving away from Sony to bring a relatively new Samsung sensor for the periscope telephoto shooter on the Xiaomi 16 Pro. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 Pro packed the Sony IMX858 camera that offered 5x optical zoom and a 1/2.51-inch sensor size. However, the next gen Xiaomi 16 Pro will reportedly pack the Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor.

This camera has a smaller sensor size, measuring 1/2.76 inches and was recently featured on the Nothing Phone (3). But even more surprisingly, this is the telephoto camera featured on the base Xiaomi 15. However, the base model’s telephoto wasn’t a periscope shooter, and only offered 2.6x optical zoom, unlike the Phone (3)’s periscope lens with a 3x zoom. But sensor size doesn’t paint the whole picture, as the Xiaomi 16 Pro’s telephoto could even capture shots in macro mode.

Kartikey adds that the base Xiaomi 16 still won’t feature a periscope sensor, meaning its regular telephoto camera could remain unchanged over its predecessor. This also means that the base Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro may have even fewer differences between their camera systems. For those unaware, the Pro and base Galaxy Books don’t feature a dedicated GPU, instead opting for the integrated graphics of the CPU. This held true even in the Galaxy Book 5 line, which packed Lunar Lake processors. However, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra was a true powerhouse, featuring up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and an RTX 4070. The laptop was built to rival a MacBook Pro with a capable and power efficient chip and a powerful GPU for more demanding workloads.

In other words, Samsung will likely bring a similar hardware formula to the new Galaxy Book 6 Ultra. Since the last Ultra model, both Intel and Nvidia have newer and more capable offerings. So we can expect it to come equipped with an RTX 50 series GPU and Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200H series processors. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report filled with speculations about this unannounced laptop’s specs, so take this report with a pinch of salt.

Corsair Unveils AI Workstation 300 mini-PC with RDNA 3.5 Graphics and Ryzen AI Max+ 395

Corsair has launched the AI Workstation 300, a compact 4.4-liter PC built for local AI workloads. It is powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max 300 Series processors, with the top configuration featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. The system includes up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, with 96GB available as dynamic VRAM.

Graphics are handled by AMD’s RDNA 3.5 GPU with 40 compute units. The XDNA 2 NPU architecture delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI acceleration. The workstation is designed to run client-side AI tools such as LM Studio and Stable Diffusion with Amuse-ai. It supports large models like Mistral Large 123B (BF16), which requires 92GB of GPU memory. Most gaming GPUs cannot handle this load.

The system also supports developers using Model Context Protocol servers. These rely on high memory and consistent performance for handling long context lengths. The AI Workstation 300 reduces paging and speeds up processing for such tasks. Its APU and dynamic VRAM allocation make it suitable for running local large language models and other AI tools.

Corsair has included dual-fan cooling to keep the system running at optimal temperatures during heavy workloads. The Performance Level Selector allows users to switch between higher speed or better power efficiency depending on the task. Despite the small size, it supports demanding AI and creative work without thermal throttling.

The Corsair AI Software Suite is included to give access to AI, engineering, and creative tools. The system also has multiple layers of chip-to-cloud security to protect data, models, and workloads.

The AI Workstation 300 is available now from Corsair’s website and select North American retailers. The base model with Ryzen AI Max 385 costs $1,599. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 variant costs $1,999. The top version with 4TB of storage is priced at $2,299. All models come with a two-year warranty.

Qualcomm likely to introduce new Snapdragon 8 Plus chip with all-big custom Oryon cores

A fresh leak from a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station, has shed light on Qualcomm’s upcoming SM8845 chip. And no, it’s not the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (that’s the SM8850) or even the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5, which DCS previously claimed would not arrive this year. The SM8845 will introduce a new tier to Qualcomm’s SoC line instead.

According to a previous report, the chip may be called Snapdraogn 8 Plus and serve as a more affordable alternative to Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

The tipster says the SM8845 will feature a fully custom, self-developed core design built entirely around large cores. It means the company is bringing its in-house Oryon cores from last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite to a new sub-premium lineup just one generation later. And all those large cores could clock at no less than 3GHz.

The chip could also take advantage of TSMC’s N3P process, the same manufacturing node expected for the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. On top of that, Qualcomm is rumored to be borrowing some flagship-tier components from the 8 Elite 2.  

Digital Chat Station previously mentioned that the alleged Snapdragon 8 Plus will share the same GPU architecture as the 8 Elite 2. The idea seems to be offering near-flagship performance without the ultra-flagship price tag.

The leak further reveals that brands like Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus are already working on devices powered by the SM8845. And they appear to be going big on batteries as well, as some models are rumored to ship with packs as large as 8,000mAh.

The Snapdragon 8 Plus is expected to arrive sometime in Q4 2025. Qualcomm hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but we’ll keep you in the loop as more details emerge.

Pixel 10 takes the lead over Galaxy S25 with proper Qi2 support

As the race for smartphone innovation intensifies, Google appears to be gaining an edge over Samsung with its upcoming Pixel 10 series. According to new leaks, the Pixel 10 lineup will offer full support for Qi2 wireless charging — including magnetic alignment — giving it a more seamless charging experience compared to Samsung’s Galaxy S25.

The latest leak from reliable tipster Evan Blass shows Google’s upcoming “Pixelsnap” wireless charger magnetically attached to a Pixel 10 device — without a case. This suggests the phone has magnets built directly into its design, a rare feature among Android phones. It also supports previous information from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), which noted that “major Android smartphones” are expected to adopt Qi2 with 25W wireless charging.

This means Pixel 10 models — including the standard, Pro, and Pro XL — will snap perfectly into place with Qi2 chargers and accessories, similar to Apple’s MagSafe system. The phones are expected to support the Qi2.2.1 standard, allowing for 25W wireless charging — a boost in both speed and efficiency compared to previous generations.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 misses full Qi2 implementation

Qi2 charging includes two power profiles: BPP (Basic Power Profile) and MPP (Magnetic Power Profile). While Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series supports the basic profile, it lacks the convenience of built-in magnetic alignment — reportedly due to concerns that magnets could interfere with S Pen functionality. Since Pixel devices don’t rely on a stylus, Google has more flexibility to fully embrace the technology and make the Pixel 10 series stand out.

Samsung users can still get a magnetic experience through protective cases with built-in magnets, enabling 15W Qi2 charging with better alignment. However, it’s not quite as seamless as having magnetic support integrated directly into the phone.

This Philips Monitor Matches the Apple Studio Display at a Much Lower Price

Philips has launched the 27E3U7903, a 27-inch 5K monitor that directly competes with Apple’s Studio Display. Designed for creative professionals, this monitor delivers high-resolution visuals, precise color reproduction, and modern connectivity options.

The 5,120 x 2,880 IPS panel offers a pixel density of 218 PPI and supports DisplayHDR 600 with 600 nits peak brightness and a 70Hz refresh rate. It covers 160 percent of the sRGB color space, 99.5 percent Adobe RGB, and 99 percent DCI-P3, with a color accuracy of Delta E < 2. The monitor is also Calman Ready for automatic color calibration, ideal for professionals who need consistent, accurate visuals.

Connectivity features include Thunderbolt 4 with 96W power delivery, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, USB-A, and an Ethernet port. The monitor supports daisy chaining and features a Smart KVM switch that allows users to toggle between devices using a keyboard shortcut. Two devices can be displayed simultaneously using the MultiView function.

Additional features include a 5MP AI-powered webcam with auto-framing, 5W stereo speakers, TÜV-certified blue light reduction, and PowerSensor 2 to lower energy usage when the user is away. The stand allows for height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot for ergonomic comfort.

Viltrox launches AF 15mm F1.7 Air: Lightweight wide-angle prime for APS-C cameras

Viltrox has officially launched the AF 15mm F1.7 Air, a compact wide-angle lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens is available for Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fujifilm X mounts and is priced between $227 and $239, depending on the mount. It weighs just 180 to 195 grams, making it a lightweight option for creators who need portability without sacrificing optical performance.

The AF 15mm F1.7 Air provides an 84.9° field of view, equivalent to 22.5mm on a full-frame camera. This makes it suitable for shooting landscapes, street photography, vlogging, and interiors. The bright F1.7 aperture supports low-light performance and enables subject separation with smooth background blur.

Viltrox has equipped the lens with an STM stepping motor for fast and silent autofocus. The autofocus system supports face and eye detection, allowing for accurate subject tracking in both stills and video. The lens also performs well in video shooting scenarios with minimal focus breathing and low distortion.

The optical structure includes 12 elements in 10 groups. This setup features three extra-low dispersion (ED) elements, three high-refractive index (HR) elements, and two aspherical elements. Viltrox says the combination reduces chromatic aberrations, improves sharpness across the frame, and controls distortion. The lens also uses advanced coatings to suppress flare and ghosting when shooting in challenging lighting conditions.

The AF 15mm F1.7 Air continues the design approach of the Viltrox Air series. It features a compact metal body, a standard 58mm filter thread, and a USB-C port for firmware updates. The front element includes splash-resistant and anti-fouling coatings, and the lens ships with an upgraded lotus-style hood.

Xiaomi launches two new humidifiers with quiet operation, no visible mist & HyperOS

Xiaomi has announced the Mijia Mist-Free Humidifier 3 in two variants, targeting different room sizes with upgraded smart features and a mist-free evaporative design.

The 400mL/h version is priced at 279 yuan ($38), while the higher-capacity 600mL/h model costs 369 yuan ($51). Both models will be available through crowdfunding starting next Wednesday on Xiaomi’s Youpin platform.

The Mijia Mist-Free Humidifier 3 uses natural evaporation technology instead of ultrasonic or steam-based misting. This approach eliminates visible mist, making it safer for use around electronics and more comfortable for people sensitive to airborne particles.

The 600mL/h version features a 5-liter silver ion-infused tank and supports room sizes between 20 and 30 square meters. It operates at a low noise level of 30.7dB(A) in sleep mode and uses a dome-style LED display to show real-time humidity levels.

The smaller 400mL/h version includes a 4-liter water tank designed for up to 18 hours of continuous use. It also features a silver ion coating to prevent bacterial growth and is suitable for smaller spaces like bedrooms and children’s rooms. It operates even more quietly, with a noise level of 29.4dB(A), and supports the same LED display and physical button controls.

Both models come with a 3D antibacterial filter that Xiaomi claims blocks over 99% of bacteria. The filters are machine washable and have a recommended lifespan of 6 to 12 months. The devices use a DC frequency-conversion motor, an enclosed water pump, and low-resistance airflow channels to maintain efficiency while keeping noise levels down.

The humidifiers connect to the Mi Home app for remote control, humidity target settings (40%–70%), and smart automation. Both support XiaoAI voice control and are integrated with Xiaomi’s HyperOS smart home ecosystem.

The humidifiers also offer water shortage alerts, a descaling mode, detachable components for easier cleaning, and automatic shutoff for safety. Xiaomi states both models have a compact footprint, with the 600mL/h version designed for larger living rooms and the 400mL/h model suited for smaller spaces.

In related news, Xiaomi recently launched the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 4 with 18,000Pa suction power and a 40-minute battery life. The company has also introduced a new gadget that massages the scalp, dispenses serum, and aims to help with hairline care.

For this price, you get a large 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED primary screen with a 4500 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2480 x 2200 resolution. Meanwhile, the cover display has a 1.5K resolution with 6.53-inch panel with similar specs as the main screen.

Under the hood, Vivo X Fold 5 has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as the X Fold 3 Pro, which is still quite a capable chip in 2025. A large 6,000mAh battery pack powers this device with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. But this year’s Vivo foldable phone is thinner and lighter (4.3mm unfolded, 9.2mm folded, & 217g), nearly matching the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

For this hefty price, you also get Zeiss optics and tuning on the triple camera setup on the rear. The camera setup is identical to the premium Vivo X200 model and offer three 50MP sensors for the main, 3x telephoto, and ultra wide angle shooters. Both the cover and primary screen house a 20MP slefie shooter. Other notable features include a side mounted fingerprint scanner, IP58 + IP59+ rating for water and dust resistance, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Realme 15 5G and 15 Pro 5G Now Available in India with Launch Offers: Details Inside

Realme has begun selling the realme 15 5G and realme 15 Pro 5G smartphones in India. The devices are now available for purchase on Flipkart, realme.com, and through offline retailers. Both phones were launched last week and come with several storage configurations, introductory bank and exchange offers, and updated hardware across display, performance, and cameras.

Both smartphones feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800×1280 pixels. The panel offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and peak brightness of up to 6500 nits. It also supports 4608Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, full-brightness DC dimming, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Both phones are IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance.

Performance and Software

The realme 15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ processor built on a 4nm process, along with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The 15 Pro 5G uses Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with Adreno 722 GPU. Both phones ship with Android 15 based on realme UI 6.0.

Memory configurations include 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB using UFS 3.1. Both models support dual nano SIMs, and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor.

The realme 15 5G includes a 50MP primary rear camera using a Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. It supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second.

This model supports 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second. Both phones feature a 50MP front camera with the same OV50D sensor, f/2.4 aperture, and 4K recording support.

Battery and Connectivity

Both devices are equipped with a 7000mAh battery and support 80W fast charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity options include 5G SA and NSA with support for nine bands, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and USB Type-C 2.0. Additional features include stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, and USB Type-C audio output.

India’s smartphone market soars in Q2: iPhone 16 tops charts, Vivo leads shipments, Nothing up 146%

India’s smartphone market saw a surge in Q2 2025, reaching new heights in both value and demand—particularly in the premium and ultra-premium segments. According to Counterpoint Research, the market’s wholesale value jumped 18% year-over-year, setting a new record for any second quarter.

The growth was fueled by strong momentum in high-end devices. The iPhone 16 emerged as the most-shipped smartphone in the country during the quarter, helping Apple post its best Q2 performance yet. Samsung followed closely, claiming a 23% share of the total market value thanks to solid demand for its Galaxy A and S25 series.

While Apple led the premium space, Vivo dominated unit shipments overall, thanks to popular models in the budget-friendly ₹10,000–₹15,000 segment. Oppo secured third place with strong sales from its A and K series.

Other brands saw impressive gains. OnePlus posted 75% year-on-year growth in the ultra-premium category, driven by the OnePlus 13 and 13R, while the more compact OnePlus 13s (review) is reportedly gaining traction. Realme’s GT 7 lineup also found favor, particularly the Aston Martin F1-inspired Dream Edition.

Motorola enjoyed an 86% boost in shipments, thanks to its expanding retail presence and demand for its G and Edge series. Lava made a strong comeback in the sub-₹10,000 category, with a 156% surge supported by clean software and better after-sales service.

Nothing, another standout brand, posted its sixth consecutive quarter of triple-digit growth—rising 146%—largely due to strong demand for the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

With premium devices gaining ground and mid-range options still thriving, India’s smartphone market is showing both depth and diversity. The question now: will this premium momentum continue into the second half of 2025?
