Yesterday we reported that Huawei Mate 30 series was likely going to feature support for ultra-fast 25W wireless charging. Today, Huawei’s new wireless charger (CP61) capable of delivering such high-speed charging has just been spotted on FCC. The certification website confirms that the upcoming Huawei wireless charger can support charging output up to 30W.
While 30W is even higher than what we reported yesterday, it looks like the actual charging speed could be less than the max speed mentioned in the document. The FCC listing reveals that the charger’s claimed 30W charging output has not complied to its tests. So, it is possible that the actual wireless charging speed is somewhere around 25W, which is what a Chinese blogger revealed yesterday.
Huawei 30W Wireless Charger at FCC
At present, Xiaomi has the fastest charger on a commercial smartphone, with its Mi 9 supporting 20W wireless charging. Now that Huawei’s new CP61 charger has been spotted on FCC, expect the new wireless charger to be launched alongside the Mate 30 series.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G that was announced earlier this year is the first 5G phone from the company. It is currently only available for purchase in the U.K. According to a new report from Financial Times, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the company will be launching a second 5G smartphone by the end of this year. The report also states that it will be available globally. Lau did not reveal the name of the smartphone.
It seems that the new 5G phone that will be debuting by the end of 2019 won’t be the same as OnePlus 5G that is currently available in the U.K. OnePlus is expected to release the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T by the end of this year. Probably, the Pro model could be equipped with the second 5G phone from OnePlus this year. There is a possibility that the OnePlus 7T will only support 4G LTE connectivity, whereas the OnePlus 7T Pro will be 5G-ready. There is a possibility that these phones could be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform.

OnePlus is expected to launch its first OnePlus TV by the end of the coming month. Lau has claimed that the OnePlus TVs could support 5G connectivity. However, the advantages of 5G connectivity on the OnePlus TV.
In China, various smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to launch their 5G smartphones in the Chinese market. ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G phone is already available for purchase in China whereas the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G phone will be releasing tomorrow. A slew of other 5G phones from Huawei, Xioami, Vivo and Samsung are scheduled to release in the Chinese market in September.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has already bagged 3C approval in China and its images have recently appeared on TENAA. It indicates that the smartphone could be soon heading to China. The specifications of the phone haven’t appeared yet on TENAA. Hence, it remains to be seen whether it will be coming with identical specs as the UK variant or it will be packed with more powerful specs including the Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi had debuted the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G as its first 5G smartphone. Today, the company has confirmed that it is gearing up to launch its second 5G flagship phone in the market since it has bagged the three necessary certificates. Based on the recent reports it can be said that the company is now preparing to launch the Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G as its second 5G flagship smartphone.
For a smartphone to go official in China, it needs to receive three certificates. It includes approvals from 3C body, telecom equipment access network and radio transmission equipment model. Now that the undisclosed 5G smartphone has bagged approval, it all set to go official in China.
A Xiaomi phone that has a model number of M1908F1XE was recently spotted on the database of 3C and TENAA certification bodies. The 3C certification revealed that it is a 5G smartphone that will be equipped with a 45W fast charger whereas it TENAA listing had revealed its entire specifications.
China Unicom had recently revealed the names of the upcoming 5G phones that it will be supporting. It revealed that the Vivo iQOO Pro 5G will be releasing in August whereas other phones such as Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G, Vivo NEX 5G, Huawei Mate 30 5G, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G, Vivo X series 5G phone and Xiaomi Mi 9S phones will be available for purchase through it in September. Hence, it appears that the upcoming 5G phone from Xiaomi could be called Xiaomi Mi 9S or Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G.
The TENAA certification of the M1908F1XE phone has revealed that it houses a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution support. The Snapdragon 855+ chipset that includes 2.96GHz octa-core processor will be powering the device with up to 12 GB of RAM. The handset may come with up to 512 GB of storage.
The Android 9 Pie OS along with MIUI skin will come preloaded on the device. The rear side of the phone is fitted with a 48-megapixel triple camera setup and it features a front camera of 20-megapixel. The display of the phone is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint reader. Lastly, it is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. It is speculated that Xiaomi may officially announce the MIUI 11 alongside the Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G smartphone.
Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO which makes premium gaming smartphones is all set to launch its first 5G smartphone. The company has confirmed that the iQOO Pro 5G will be launched in China at an event on 22nd August.
Now, ahead of the phone’s launch next week, the company has teased a new feature of this upcoming smartphone on its official Weibo account. The company has confirmed that the phone will come with Hi-Fi Audio support which the company has named “Cool Me Music” feature that offers an impressive sound quality.
As the name itself suggests, the phone will be an enhanced variant of the Vivo iQOO gaming smartphone that was launched in April this year. While most of the specs in this upcoming phone remain the same, it comes with some upgraded features.
The company has already confirmed that the iQOO Pro 5G will be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core processor and will be the first smartphone with SD855+ SoC to have 5G connectivity. The ASUS ROG Phone 2 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro are already running SD855+ chipset but don’t have 5G support.
The Chinese firm has also confirmed that it will be arriving with the latest UFS 3.0 storage and LPDDR4X RAM, and will also carry support for the F2FS file format. The phone has already been certified by 3C and TENAA in China, revealing its specifications.
The iQOO Pro 5G features a 6.41-inch AMOLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be offered in multiple variants, including 8GB and 12GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal storage.
In the camera department, we expect the phone to have 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 12-megapixel triple camera setup on the back and a frontal shooter of 12-megapixel. A battery with a minimum rated capacity of 4,410mAh fuels the device and the 3C listing reveals support for 44W fast charging.
The Vivo NEX 3 is the upcoming flagship phone from Vivo. Vivo’s Product Manager Li Xiang had yesterday shared an image of the frontal panel of the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone yesterday. It revealed that the display will be curved towards the left and right edges. Today, Li Xiang has released a sketch of the Vivo NEX 3 to showcase its front and rear design.
The sketch also shows that the top and bottom bezels of the phone are also extremely thin. This indicates that the Vivo NEX 3 will deliver close to 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. The bottom edge of the phone is not visible in the sketch. The upper edge of the phone seems to be equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, a speaker and a microphone. The left and right sides of the phone appear to be barren. Probably, the phone could be lacking physical buttons.
Since the top bezel of the phone very thin and even the body of the phone appears to be quite slim, it may not feature a pop-up selfie snapper. Rather the company may use the new in-display selfie camera technology. Even when the phone is placed upside down, its side displays are clearly visible.
The only thing that is present on the backside of the smartphone is the triple camera setup that is placed inside a circular housing. The design of the camera housing is inspired from mechanical watches.
The specifications of the Vivo NEX 3 are currently under the wraps. However, it is very likely to feature Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Also, it is believed that the Vivo V1924A smartphone that was recently approved by 3C authority could be the NEX smartphone. The 3C certification revealed that it carries support for 5G connectivity, and it could be arriving with a 44W rapid charger. The Vivo V9122A could be the 4G LTE version of the smartphone. There is no information available on the launch date of the Vivo NEX 3. Also, the name of the device is not officially confirmed yet.

Xiaomi has today launched the new Mi Classic Backpack 2 in its home country China. The backpack, which is priced at 99 Yuan (approximately $14) comes with several improvements compared to its predecessor.
It comes with double storage compared to the previous model and has four levels of anti-splash water resistance. It comes with a streamlined design that offers an inclusive appearance. Thanks to the casual appearance and comfortable style, it can be used for work, commuting, short-term travel, etc.
The Mi Classic Backpack comes with a separate department for carry-on items such as charging cable, data cables, documents, and other such items. There’s also a section that accommodates a 15.6-inch laptop, smartphone, and a tablet along with a few other items.

It also comes with a multi-layer decompression anti-seismic burden system that uses soft and delicate sandwich mesh material and is divided into three layers — sandwich mesh cloth, EPE lining, and Oxford cloth. This allows it to offer effective heat dissipation and makes it more comfortable to carry.
The Xiaomi Mi Classic Backpack 2 comes in four color options — Light Blue, Black, Dark Grey, and Dark Blue. Priced at 99 Yuan (~$14), it is now available for purchase in China through the company’s official online store Xiaomi Mall.

Misfit Vapor X comes in five color options — Black, Rose Tone, Stainless, Champagne, and Gunmetal. It is priced at $279 and is now available for purchase in the United States at a limited-time introductory price of US $199.99 through its official website.
Lenovo A6 Note has been spotted on the website of Thailand’s NBTC. The device bears the model number L19041 and the name is also confirmed. The device had late last month been listed by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). It also appeared on the database of benchmark website GeekBench.
The GeekBench listing gave us a hint of some of the specifications the device is expected to have. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz. The chipsets paired up with 3GB of RAM. The chipset sets the A6 Note as an entry-level model. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Of course, this will likely be with a touch of Lenovo’s custom ZUI. On Geekbench, the A6 Note scored 760 in the single-core test and 3499 in the multi-core test.
The Chinese tech giant is yet to reveal any launch date for the Lenovo A6 Note but this recent certification suggests the device will be launched in Thailand. That’s the same way the EEC listing suggests it will land in Europe.

Unfortunately, Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) says the phone won’t have fast charging (VOOC 3.0). Realme already confirmed in a separate tweet that the Realme 5 Pro will have support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
The promo poster confirms the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. Geekbench already revealed the chipset is the Snapdragon 665.
Another poster, which shows the rear of the device this time, reveals the main camera has an f/1.8 aperture. It also shows the phone will keep the fingerprint scanner on the rear. The variant in the poster is blue but there should be other colors available at launch.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company Himo has launched the Himo C16 Electric Bicycle under the Youpin crowdfunding platform. Himo has got a couple of electric bikes in the markets which have turned out to be very popular. Around this time last year, the company launched the Himo V1 and just a couple of months back the Himo T1 was released.
The Himo C16 comes with a different design and what should be a more powerful battery train. It uses a detachable lithium battery that isn’t only lightweight, but also safe and convenient to carry around. The battery has a range of 75km but that is reduced to 55Km if a second passenger is onboard. The battery comes with power-saving features and assisted movement using the pedal enhances power saving.
The electric bike has an extra seat for a passenger and a carrier at the front of the handle that could hold a sizeable amount of goods. The comfort of the driver is put into consideration while building the bike as it comes with a footrest that can be used when there is no need to pedal. There is a display panel which looks like an e-ink display at the right handle of the bike. It displays parameters such as speed, battery power etc. It also has an LED front headlight as well as a brake light, making it suitable for use at night.
The bike is expected to start shipping on September 19. It is available in White, Black and Gray frames.
WhatsApp always remains a step ahead in providing new features to its users. The developers have extended numerous features on WhatsApp to facilitate users’ security, accessibility, and enhance ease-of-use on the app. In a similar move, Whatsapp has recently added fingerprint authentication feature on the WhatsApp Beta version for Android.
To get the latest feature, the user needs to update their WhatsApp Beta to version 2.19.221. The user can head over to the Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock to enable the new authentication feature. It carries the option to select the frequency of the authentication prompt to appear after 30 minutes, 1 minute or immediately. If you choose “immediately” option, then the app will ask for the authentication after inactiveness of WhatsApp for a short period.
The ability to select frequency depends on a server-side switch, and it won’t come to all the phones with just an app update. The new unlock feature will prompt only while opening the app. Otherwise, users can generally pick up the voice and video calls. It even won’t snap-in while replying to a message from the notification bar itself.
The new authentication also affects the WhatsApp Widget. It won’t show any information if you’ve activated the fingerprint unlock. However, the WhatsApp official Android biometric authentication APIs ensures the safety of our fingerprint data and it isn’t sent to Facebook.
Moreover, WhatsApp is also working on the Dark Mode to save your eyes from the strain caused by the light colors. We are unsure about when the new Fingerprint Unlock feature will roll out on the stable version.
Xiaomi‘s crowdfunders are always very interesting, and the same applies to their latest crowdfunding product, a children’s sonic electric toothbrush. The brand new Children’s Sonic Toothbrush K5 from Xiaomi’s home appliance startup Soocas is a sonic electric toothbrush made specifically to encourage young children to learn better brushing habits.
How the toothbrush works is that it comes with a bear shaped speaker as a base. Whenever a child removes the toothbrush from the base, the bear speaker begins to tell them a story. This story goes on for aboout 2 minutes, which is allegedly just long enough for the child to completely brush their teeth thoroughly.
As for specifications, the K5 comes equipped with a GMSoft sonic motor. The motor vibrates 31,000 times a minute and is especially gentle as to not damage the child’s teeth or gums. The toothbrush can also adapt to the amount of pressure being applied by the child and adjust the strength of the vibrations to avoid hurting the child’s mouth.
The K5 comes with 2 types of brush heads, one for 3 – 6 year olds and another for 6 – 12 year olds. The bristles on both brush heads are soft and super fine at a 0.01mm, allowing them to clean deep between the child’s teeth. The battery life is also pretty good. Soocas claims the toothbrush can go last one month on a full charge, granted that the toothbrush is used only twice a day.
As you’d expect, the toothbrush is completely water resistant, and it also connects with Xiaomi’s Mijia app to track your child’s brushing habits. The current crowdfunding price is set at 219 yuan, or about $32. It’s not a bad option for a children’s toothbrush, at least as far as the specs and features go.

Avenir Telecom manufacturers of Energizer range of products earlier this year acknowledged that “there is a rising interest for smartphones with incredible battery life, which can also be used as power banks”. The company has got some big battery phones itself, the biggest of which is the Energizer P18K with a monster 18,000mAh battery. Apart from that, there are other models with equally big battery sizes. The company has got somewhat of a competitor in the aspect of a big battery and rugged build. The device is the Gigaset GX290.
The phone is manufactured by Gigaset – a former division of Siemens that is best known today for its DECT phones. The device packs a 6,200mAh battery and that’s not all. It can be charged without just three hours as it packs a 15W fast charging technology deployed over a USB Type-C port.
Apart the big battery, the Gigaset GX290 comes with IP68-level waterproof build. The phone is also shock-resistant even though it doesn’t have an official MIL-STD rating.
In erms of other specs, the phone packs a 6.1-inch LCD screen which is optimized for outdoor use with 520nits of brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. There is a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of the screen. However, the display has a disappointing HD resolution of 720 pixels.
At the heart of the device is a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset (octa-core Cortex-A53) but the RAM size wasn’t disclosed. There 32GB of internal storage onboard. The rugged phone gets its interface from the Android 9.0 Pie OS.
On the camera end, the device packs an 8MP selfie camera. At the rear, there is a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a physical fingerprint reader just under the rear cameras.
As for the price, the device comes with a price tag of around €300, but availability is limited.
Huawei is strengthening its relationship with Russian companies like Yandex and Mail.ru. The latter is reportedly in talks with the Chinese telecommunications giant to pre-install its apps inside Huawei smartphones. Given that Huawei is currently the world’s second-largest smartphone manufacturer, this could be a big deal for the Russian internet company.
Mail.ru Group has a lot of apps and services under its belt like VKontakte (VK), Delivery Club (Food delivery app), and Odnoklassniki (OK). While these apps are traditionally popular among the Russian speaking individuals, they still have a pretty strong fan following. For example, OK has over 2 million downloads on the Google Play store.
Huawei is also reportedly in talks with another big Russian company, Yandex. The company is planning to install Yandex’s digital assistant – Alice on its smartphones. The two companies are also said to be working on other collaboration opportunities in areas such as search engine, music, taxi, and weather services.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
However, both these deals have not yet been finalized. So there’s still time before we start seeing Huawei smartphones coming pre-installed with Mail.ru and Yandex apps.
Yesterday, Motorola Brasil released a teaser on Twitter hinting at the launching of a new phone. A translation of the caption for the post says the phone will arrive in three days and “everything you know about filming and shooting using cellphones will change”. While the teaser doesn’t mention the device, Roland Quandt revealed in a tweet that the phone launching is the Motorola One Action.
Em 3 dias, tudo o que você sabe sobre filmar e fotografar usando celulares vai mudar. Estão preparados? pic.twitter.com/1eZPHHfxRl
Leaked specs have revealed the phone will have a 6.3-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio like the Motorola One Vision and a 2520 x 1080 resolution. At the top left corner of the screen is a punch hole for the camera.
The Motorola One Action will come with triple rear cameras arranged vertically. It has a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor. There is also an ultrawide angle camera with a 117° field of view. This camera is also called the Action camera and where the phone derives its name from. It also has a 12MP front-facing camera. Previous reports said the primary rear camera and front-facing camera are 13MP sensors.
The Motorola One Action will have an Exynos 9609 processor powering it which will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone will have a MicroSD card slot for extra storage. Other features include a 3500mAh battery with support for 10W charging via a USB Type-C port. There is also an audio jack, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Winfuture.de reports the device has a plastic rear cover, weighs 181 grams, and is 9.15 millimeters thick. While the price of the phone in Brazil is unknown, the Motorola One Action will sell for €250 when it launches in Europe. We already know it will sell for much more higher in Brazil.
UMIDIGI is getting ready for its next flagship, UMIDIGI Z5 Pro, and has just teased a 64MP sample image shot by the device. As the company claims, the Z5 Pro will be among the first few models in the world to launch with the new 64MP Samsung sensor. This new sensor is almost certainly the Samsung ISOCELL GW1 which was announced by Samsung recently. This teaser means that Xiaomi and Realme won’t alone in offering this feature soon.
The company’s sample image shows a cat and a zoomed-in section of the cat’s fur. As indicated the 64MP sensor is from Samsung and should be the same Samsung ISOCELL GW1 as Xiaomi’s and Realme’s devices. There’s little more to say about the photo other than it certainly seems to pack plenty of detail. The GW1 sensor measures 1/1.7″ in size with 1.6um pixel size and is 38% larger than the current 48MP sensor. It uses ISOCELL Plus technology that increases light intake and catches colors more accurately resulting in bright, sharp, and vibrant images across different lighting environments.

The Z5 Pro will feature the 64MP sensor and while the company hasn’t yet announced this year’s Z Series, the Z5 Pro is definitely one of the devices coming soon. We hope that there will be a non-pro version that will at least feature a 48MP sensor on the back so that users will have to choose between 2 great devices according to their budget.
In the meantime, you don’t have to wait until the Z5 Pro comes out to get a great device at a great price. You can enter the giveaway to win the recently launched value king UMIDIGI X and Upods. If you are interested in buying both at a rock bottom price, you can add the UMIDIGI X and Upods to your cart on Aliexpress to grab the discounted price when the presale kicks off on August 26th.
The triple camera setups must be considered a standard when talking about flagships, no matter the market segment they are in. Every manufacturer that wants to release a competitive device must keep in mind that the triple camera is a prerequisite and so does Doogee that just announced the presale kick-off of its new mid-range flagship, Doogee N20.
The presale will take place on Aliexpress from August 19th to 31st while delivery will begin on the 26th. The price of N20 will get a 50% slash during the promotion period, so you have the chance to get it for just $99.99! A really incredible price that will also be available on Doogeemall. What’s more, the first 100 units will receive the Aermoo B1 earphones for free and the next 900 units will get the Doogee Vienna earphones for free. Lastly, all orders will receive a free screen protector.
But what will these $99.99 get to you? Of course, the killer feature is its triple rear camera. Someone would say that other Chinese manufacturers offer the same setup but the results are disappointing. Well, there is a huge difference here, as the Doogee N20 also features OIS! The triple camera hosts a 13MP Sony wide-angle sensor while the front shooter is 16MP. OIS is important when shooting videos while moving and when shooting photos in dark environments where the phone needs to be very stable during the shoot.
As far as the rest specs are concerned, N20 is powered by the Helio P23 SoC backed by 4GB of Samsung RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The display is a 6.3″ IPS one with waterdrop notch and takes up the most of the front of the device. Also, there is a 4350mAh battery that should definitely take you through 2 days on a single charge under normal use. In addition, there is a super-fast fingerprint sensor on the back of the CNC metal body. The OS to coordinate all this hardware is Android 9 Pie that brings all the latest goodies of Android with it.
Compared to the previous model, Doogee N10, the N20 is 2x faster with a 104% increase in performance, has twice the battery performance, consumes 70% less, and has 50% more efficient cooling.
As said, the presale will start on August 19th and in the meantime, you can participate in the big Giveaway on Doogee’s official promo page or on Gleam until September 11th.
