Honor’s 10,000mAh battery phone could be in works

Honor made headlines earlier this year by launching the Honor Power, the first mainstream smartphone with an 8,000mAh battery. Building on that momentum, the brand unveiled the Honor X70 with an even larger 8,300mAh battery earlier this month. Now, a new leak suggests Honor could be working on a phone with a massive 10,000mAh battery.

Could it be a Honor Power series phone?

Honor’s 10000mAh battery phone could be in works

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, Honor is likely to begin testing a mid-range smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery in the first half of 2026. He also mentioned that the handset could have a body thickness of under 8.5mm, despite the large battery. However, no other specifications have been revealed yet.

It’s worth noting that testing does not confirm a launch next year. If the development progresses smoothly, the phone might debut as part of the Honor Power series, whose first-generation model featured an 8,000mAh battery. Hopefully, future reports will shed more light on the device’s specifications and design.

Other brands join the big-battery race

Honor isn’t the only brand focusing on large battery capacities. Oppo just launched the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, both equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Similarly, Realme is expected to launch the Realme 15 Pro later this week in India, featuring the same battery and charging specs.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and iQOO Z10 are rumoured to feature 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh batteries, respectively. Even the upcoming Xiaomi 16 series, expected to debut in China in September, may include a 7,000mAh battery. It’s clear that 7,000mAh+ batteries are becoming increasingly common in both mid-range and flagship phones, marking a shift in priorities toward battery life.

iQOO’s First Compact Flagship Tablet Could Be on the Way

iQOO, known for its performance-driven smartphones, may soon unveil a high end tablet with a compact form factor. While details remain limited, early reports suggest the brand is aiming to challenge existing players like Xiaomi and Apple that have their own “mini” flagship tablets. So here’s everything you need to know.

iQOO May Launch a Compact Premium Tablet Soon

To recall, there are a few brands with mini tablet offerings. A popular model is Apple’s latest iPad Mini, while there are also new Chinese options like the Redmi K Pad (upcoming Xiaomi Pad Mini in the global market), Lenovo Legion Y700 (Review), and Red Magic Astra. Now, an upcoming mini iQOO Pad model could take on the competition, as per Digital Chat Station.

iQOO Pad 5 series
iQOO Pad 5

The known tipster claims that iQOO’s new compact tablet will arrive with flagship grade specs and may sport an 8.3-inch display. This model was initially expected to debut later this year, but its release may have been delayed to 2026. Apart from its high end specs and display size, DCS did not reveal any other finer details about this compact tablet.

We can expect this new tablet to feature top-end processors like the Snapdragon 8 Elite. But considering the delay, there’s a chance it could replace this with the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now and stick around for more.

In related news, the brand just teased the iQOO Z10R with the Dimensity 7400, 12GB RAM, 5700mAh battery, and more for under Rs 20,000 pricing.

Purported Redmi Note 15 Pro+, iQOO Z10 leak reveals display, camera, chipset, up to 8000mAh batteries

Redmi is preparing to introduce its Note 15 lineup in China, while iQOO is also expected to unveil its Z10 smartphone soon. Ahead of their official announcements, a trusted source, Digital Chat Station, has leaked some core specifications of both upcoming devices.

Alleged Redmi Note 15 Pro+ specifications (rumored)

Alleged Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and iQOO Z10 leak by DCS

According to the details shared by DCS, one of the phones is likely the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, and the other seems to be the iQOO Z10. The leak suggests that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will feature a quad-curved OLED screen with slim and uniform bezels and a 1.5K resolution.

Its camera setup will include a high-quality 50-megapixel main sensor with a large sensor size, paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. Powering the device will be a new Snapdragon 7s chip, and it will house a massive 7,000mAh battery. Additionally, it will feature symmetrical dual speakers for enhanced audio.

iQOO Z10 specifications (rumored)

As for the iQOO Z10, it is expected to sport a flat OLED display with the same 1.5K resolution. Its rear camera will include a 50-megapixel main lens, positioned as a mid-range imaging sensor. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and is tipped to pack an even larger 8,000mAh battery.

Although the exact launch date has not been confirmed, both models are likely to debut in China sometime in August.  The Z10 will be a new addition to China’s IQOO Z10 series lineup, which already includes three models, such as the iQOO Z10x, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro.

In markets outside of China, iQOO has already launched the iQOO Z10. However, the Chinese version of the Z10 will be completely different from the global Z10, which features the Dimensity 7300 chip.

Even the base Redmi K90 could pack a 50MP telephoto and 7000mAh battery

Redmi’s K90 series has been in the rumor mill for a while now. The phones are expected to launch sometime in October, and based on a new leak, it looks like Xiaomi is preparing for a major overhaul, especially for the base model.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, all models in the Redmi K90 series will include a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. On the K80 series, only the Pro model features a telephoto lens. The regular and Ultra variants were limited to wide and ultrawide setups.

The display is also getting reworked. The tipster mentions a “customized new screen” with a “large R angle,” which likely means more rounded corners and a refined front design.

Xiaomi is also said to be using a new base material for the panel, although it’s unclear what impact that will have on display quality or durability. You can also expect a continued focus on OLED, high refresh rates, and high brightness, in line with K80 standards.

More interestingly, the leak claims that all K90 models will come with symmetrical dual speakers, a metal middle frame, and an upgraded 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.. The K80 series already featured under-display ultrasonic sensors, but the new setup could offer faster or more reliable unlocking.

Redmi K80 Ultra
Redmi K80 Ultra

The K90 phones are also expected to carry large 7000mAh-class batteries and support 100W wired charging. That would be a boost over the 6550mAh/90W setup on the K80 and align with the 7410mAh/100W spec seen on the K80 Ultra. IP68 water resistance is also sticking around for the full lineup.

What’s clear from the leak is that the biggest shift could come to the base K90 model. Unlike the K80, which had to compromise on the telephoto lens and a few other high-end specs, the K90 might offer a flagship-grade experience even at the entry level, at least on paper.

The K13 Turbo Pro features the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, UFS 4.0 storage, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for better network performance. The standard K13 Turbo uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 chipset and relies on UFS 3.1 storage, Wi-Fi 6, and lacks OIS. There is a ring-shaped illumination around the built-in fan that glows fluorescently in the dark.

For sustained performance, both phones incorporate an aggressive cooling system, including an 18,000-rpm built-in fan with RGB lighting, a 7,000mm² VC liquid cooling plate, and graphite gel cooling, making them suitable for demanding tasks and extended gaming sessions.

Beyond their core display and cooling capabilities, the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro also offer identical camera setups, with a 16-megapixel Sony IMX480 front camera and a dual rear camera system comprising a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50D40 main sensor with OIS and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Xiaomi’s new 100W charger 3C certified, may ship with Xiaomi 16 series

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 16 series of flagship phones by the end of September in China. In a new development, a charger designed for what appears to be the Xiaomi 16 series has received certification from China’s 3C authority. Here’s a look at the details that have surfaced through the certification.

As seen in the above screenshot, a new 100W fast charger with the model number MDY-18-EW has received 3C certification in China. The charger supports a wide voltage input (100–240V) and multiple output profiles, including 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 11V/6.1A Max, 21V/4.75A Max, and 20V/5A, reaching a maximum output of 100W. It is also backwards compatible with 67W and 90W charging standards.

The Redmi K80 Ultra, which debuted recently in China, supports 100W charging. However, it ships with a 120W charger. The Xiaomi 16 series phones could be the company’s first smartphones to support 100W charging using a 100W power brick.

Xiaomi has previously released a 100W GaN laptop charger with the model number MDY-16-EL, which is compatible with 100W PD and 100W private protocol fast charging. However, that charging head is primarily designed for laptops.

Xiaomi 16 series may ship with the new 100W charger

According to leaks, the new 100W power brick is being prepared for the Xiaomi 16 series, suggesting the flagship phones may debut with this charger in the box or as a bundled accessory. It is being said that the goal behind launching this new charger is to fully charge a 7,000mAh battery within one hour.

For those who don’t know, the Xiaomi 16 series is expected to feature a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. There is also a possibility that the Xiaomi 16 Pro may pack a 7,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 16 may house a 7,000mAh battery.

Alleged OnePlus Pad 3 Mini, a compact tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, may debut with OnePlus 15T

OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus 15, the next-generation flagship phone, in October this year in China. By the end of this year, the company may unveil the OnePlus Ace 6 series of performance-centric phones for the market. Next year, the brand is expected to announce the OnePlus 15T, a compact flagship phone as a successor to this year’s OnePlus 13T. A new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the brand may also announce a compact tablet alongside the 15T.

Alleged OnePlus Pad 3 Mini in works

Alleged OnePlus Pad 3 Mini leak by DCS

According to the tipster, the Ouga group, which includes Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme brands, will launch a compact tablet alongside a 6.3-inch phone. While he did not go into the specifics of revealing the name of the brand and the devices, it appears that the tipster is hinting that OnePlus’ first compact tablet will break cover alongside the OnePlus 15T.

According to his post, current prototypes of the alleged OnePlus Pad 3 Mini are being tested with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) platform. DCS concludes by claiming that these products will be officially revealed in the first half of next year.

Early rumours surrounding the OnePlus 15T suggest that the device will continue to feature a 6.3-inch OLED panel equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor instead of an optical type. Its rear camera setup may include a primary snapper, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera.

The OnePlus 15T, despite being a compact phone, may pack a behemoth 7000mAh battery. The device is also expected to support wireless charging, a feature that’s absent on the OnePlus 13T.

Apart from the OnePlus 15T, a couple of more compact flagship phones are said to be in the works. While the Xiaomi 16 series offering and Vivo X300 are expected to go official later this year, the first half of 2026 may also see the arrival of the Oppo Find X9s and Honor Magic 8 Mini compact phones.

Casio Adds Full-Metal G-Shock GMW-B5000D and GM-B2100SD to US Lineup

Casio has released two new all-metal G-Shock watches in the US: the GMW-B5000D-1C and the GM-B2100SD-1C. Both models are based on classic G-Shock designs and are made in Japan at Casio’s Yamagata factory.

The GMW-B5000D-1C follows the original DW-5000C. It features the same brick pattern, “SHOCK RESIST” logo, and layout. The watch has a full-metal body with a stainless-steel bezel and case. The Super Illuminator ensures visibility in the dark.

The GM-B2100SD-1C has a black dial with red, yellow, and blue accents. These colors are taken from the first G-Shock, symbolizing shock resistance, water resistance, and boldness. The watch has an octagonal bezel and a finely textured dial with grind-mark finishing and vapor deposition. Like the 5000 series, it also includes fine resin buffers between the bezel and case, a three-pronged band structure, and a screw-lock case back.

Let’s start with the more powerful of the two. The HMD Crest 2 (or ACCORD internally) will be powered by the Unisoc T8300 5G chipset. That’s an octa-core processor built on TSMC’s 6nm process, featuring a 2+6 core setup.

The prime is two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz, while the SoC has six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz for efficiency.

In performance tests, the HMD Crest 2 scored 743 on Geekbench’s single-core benchmark and 2285 in multi-core, decent numbers for a budget 5G phone. It’s expected to come with 4GB, 6GB, or even 8GB of RAM, depending on the configuration.

HMD Crest 2 (Accord) Geekbench

On the other side is the HMD Bold. It is rumored to be powered by Unisoc T7250, an entry-level chipset that still brings respectable specs. It features two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, manufactured on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process. The Bold is expected to come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

There is no official word yet on the release date or pricing, but if the leak from HMD MEME’S is anything to go by, these phones could land soon. We will keep you in the loop if we get any new details about them.

HMD Pulse 2 series leak reveals three budget phones with Unisoc chipset and 50MP cameras

HMD seems to be expanding its lineup with three new phones under the Pulse 2 name: the Pulse 2, Pulse 2 Plus, and Pulse 2 Pro. According to a new leak, the trio will ship with Android 15 out of the box and target the budget segment, featuring modest hardware, Unisoc chipsets, and up to 50MP cameras.

Let’s start with the base model. The HMD Pulse 2 reportedly features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Powering the phone could be a Unisoc T7200 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The camera setup is said to include a 13MP main sensor paired with a depth sensor on the back, and an 8MP selfie camera.

The Pulse 2 Plus will retain the same display and Unisoc T7200 chip, but upgrade the main rear camera to 50MP, which should enhance detail in photos (assuming the sensor and software perform well). Memory options expand to 6GB, and storage remains the same: 64GB or 128GB.

Pulse 2 Pro might come with better cameras, but still an LCD panel

At the top of the line is the HMD Pulse 2 Pro, which gets a few more meaningful upgrades. It swaps in a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the newer Unisoc T7250 SoC.

The rear camera setup adds a macro sensor alongside the 50MP main shooter and a depth sensor, while the front gets an unexpected 50MP camera. You also get more RAM (6GB or 8GB), up to 256GB of storage, and 20W fast charging support.

As mentioned earlier, all three phones will ship with Android 15. No word yet on pricing or release dates, but if the specs hold up, HMD might have a few compelling low-cost Android options on the way.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Moto Razr Ultra 2025: Which One Should You Buy?

Samsung brought a new contender in the premium flip phone segment with the new Galaxy Z Flip 7. It competes with Motorola’s flagship Razr Ultra 2025 (Geekwills), which also packs high-end specs. But which one of these foldables is worth your money? Read on for a quick comparison.

1. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Moto Razr Ultra 2025: Design & Display

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

The South Korean tech giant is a veteran in the foldable phone market and has refined the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with upgrades in its cover display and hinge mechanism. While the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was still behind some of its competition, the latest Z Flip 7’s new 4.1-inch FlexWindow is a notable upgrade. Now, Samsung’s flip finally matches the latest Razr phones in the cover display area. Furthermore, the main screen has gotten taller this year, making the experience nearly equal on both models.

However, Motorola still has a slight edge thanks to its faster 165Hz refresh rate on both panels and LTPO 1-165Hz variable refresh on the external display. In comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 only offers a 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate on the secondary screen. Even in the design department, both device are quite similar. Although, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is slimmer and thinner.

It measures 6.9mm when unfolded and 14.9mm when folded, with a weight of 188 grams. The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025, on the other hand, has a chunkier 7.29mm chassis when unfolded, which goes up to 15.69mm when folded. The body also weighs slightly heavier at 189 grams. So you can expect the Z Flip 7 to be easier to hold on to. However, considering the fact that the Razr Ultra 2025 features a vegan leather finish (glass on the Flip 7), the overall hand feel might be better on Motorola’s flip phone. So the design you like is based on your personal preference.

2. Performance

Motorola Moto Razr 60 Ultra

One of the ways Samsung avoided hiking the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s price was the shift to its in-house Exynos 2500 SoC. This is a 3nm chip that brings various improvements in performance and power efficiency. But the Snapdragon 8 Elite that powers the Razr Ultra 2025 is still one of the fastest chips on the market.

Samsung did make improvements with the Exynos 2500, but the 8 Elite is better for gaming and is also slightly more power efficient. Thanks to better thermals on the new Exynos chip, you won’t miss out on anything by going with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Nevertheless, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has proven to be a great chip for everyday use and intensive tasks.

3. Battery & Charging

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Galaxy Z Flip 7

With the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the battery capacity got a bump from 4,000mAh from its predecessor to 4,300mAh. Unfortunately, the fast charging rate is still stuck at 25W wired and 15W wireless. So Motorola easily gets the win here thanks to its larger 4,700mAh battery. Even the wired and wireless charging is faster with 68W and 30W, respectively.

4. Camera

Razr 60 Ultra
Razr Ultra 2025

While both models have a dual camera setup on the rear, Motorola packs a 50MP (main, f/1.8, OIS) + 50MP (Ultrawide, f/2.0) on the back and a 50MP selfie shooter (f/2.2). In comparison, the Z Flip 7’s rear cameras include a 50MP (main, f/1.8, OIS) + 12MP (Ultrawide, f/2.2), with the front housing a 10MP camera for selfies. The main cameras are basically on par, but the ultra wide and selfie shooters’ better apertures and higher resolutions should translate to better picture quality (at least on paper).

5. Pricing & Verdict

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Z Flip 7 for a starting price tag of 1,099 US Dollars for the 256GB variant and 1,219 US Dollars for the 512GB option. This makes it more affordable than the Moto Razr Ultra 2025, which starts from 1,299 US Dollars for the 512GB option. As of right now, a limited time deal brings the 1TB variant of the Razr for 1,299 US Dollars as well (1,499 US Dollars original price) and there is even some freebies like a free smartwatch with the phone. So the Razr also brings great value.

In conclusion, the Razr Ultra 2025 is still slightly more expensive, offers a better camera setup, a larger battery, faster charging, and better performance. However, the Z Flip 7 is still capable in most of these regards, along with a better software experience with One UI. It also has strong cross platform connectivity, and Samsung has even included DeX as well (first time on any Z series phone). Unless you need the best performance, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is a great option for your next flip phone purchase.

Mainstream Chinese phones set to hit 10,000mAh by 2026 — while Galaxy S26 Ultra sticks to 5,000mAh

Smartphone batteries are getting bigger — and 2025 might just be the start. A new leak from China suggests that by 2026, some mainstream phones from the country could break past the 10,000mAh mark, pushing battery life into uncharted territory. But while Chinese brands race ahead, Samsung, Google, and Apple seem in no rush to follow — and there’s at least one big reason why. For reference, Samsung’s 2026 flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is widely rumored to stick with a 5,000mAh battery.

Over the past year, we’ve seen battery capacities climb fast. Honor grabbed headlines with the X70’s massive 8,300mAh cell — in a 7.76mm phone. That followed earlier moves like the Honor Power’s 8,000mAh battery, setting a new bar for mid-range devices. Now, other brands like OnePlus, iQOO, and Xiaomi are rumored to be eyeing 7,000mAh+ packs for flagships before the end of 2025.

Honor X70 launch date-
Honor X70 (packs an 8,300mAh battery)

On July 19, 2025, well known leaker Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that a mainstream mid-range phone with a 10,000mAh battery is in the works for the first half of 2026.

Big batteries don’t have to mean bulky phones — the Honor X70 proves it. While advancements in silicon-carbon battery tech (which improves energy density) help pack more capacity into the same space, the rumored mid-range phone also reportedly uses a redesigned internal structure. Specifically, its PCB is said to be much more compact, freeing up room for a larger battery.

This approach isn’t entirely new — OnePlus teased a similar concept for the 13T, showing how a tighter PCB layout can create space for bigger batteries. Still, making an already densely packed board even more compact takes serious R&D. It’ll be interesting to see when Samsung, Apple, or Google finally follows suit.

It’s still unclear which Chinese brand will make the first move to 10,000mAh, but Honor is an obvious contender given their recent breakthrough in this aspect. 2026 might be the year the numbers finally hit five digits.
