Xiaomi launched its next-generation flagship smartphone — Xiaomi Mi 9 last month at a launch event in China. The phone packs top-of-the-line specifications and is one of the most powerful smartphones available in the market.
Powered by Qualcomm‘s latest Snapdragon 855 octa-core 7nm chipset, the Xiaomi Mi 9 posted a score of 387,851 in AnTuTu benchmarking app version 7.2.4. The Snapdragon 855, which powers both the top two smartphones, is Qualcomm’s first 7nm chipset and it features a multi-core AI engine which the company claims to deliver up to three times better AI performance compared to its previous mobile platform, the Snapdragon 845.
The new chipset also comes with Computer Vision (CV) ISP for enhanced computational photography which performs the same way as Google’s Night Sight feature for Pixel devices, thus substantially improving imaging in low-light areas.
