Several reports have claimed that Tecno will soon launch the Spark 40 series of smartphones in various markets. Now, the brand has officially unveiled the Tecno Spark 40 in Uganda. Some of its key highlights include a 120Hz display, a large battery with 45W fast charging, and an IP64-rated dust- and water-resistant body. Here’s a look at the full specifications, features, and pricing of the device.

Tecno Spark 40 specifications and features

The Tecno Spark 40 features a 6.67-inch LCD punch-hole display that offers a 720 x 1600 HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For security, it is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on Android 15 with HiOS 15 on top.

In the camera department, the Spark 40 offers an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera, both paired with LED flash. For audio, the phone is equipped with dual speakers with DTS Sound support.

Infinix has launched the Infinix Hot 60i as the first model in its new Hot 60 series in Bangladesh. As per reports, the lineup is expected to include multiple models such as the Hot 60i, Hot 60 5G, Hot 60 Pro, and Hot 60 Pro+ 5G. The new Hot 60i arrives as a slimmer, more durable upgrade over the Hot 50i, offering a bigger battery, faster charging capabilities, and a dedicated AI button.

The Infinix Hot 60i sports a 6.7-inch IPS LCD HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 700 nits peak brightness. Although it still uses a 720p+ resolution panel, the screen supports Always on Display functionality. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint sensor.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset, the same as its predecessor. Memory options include 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD. One of the major upgrades comes in the form of a 5,160mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, a significant improvement over the 18W on the Hot 50i. Infinix claims the battery can go from 1% to 50% in just 24 minutes.

The camera setup features a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone runs XOS 15 based on Android 15 and comes with a One-Tap AI button to quickly access built-in AI features.

The Hot 60i is also equipped with a Hard Gyro sensor for precise motion control, which helps in mobile gaming and GPS navigation in challenging areas like underground parking or dense forests. A standout feature is UltraLink, which enables calls and messaging even outside network coverage by connecting to other phones up to 500 meters away. Other features include NFC, an IR blaster, dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio.

In terms of durability, the Hot 60i’s four corners are reinforced to withstand drops from up to 1.5 metres. It is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance. The frame measures just 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 188 grams

Currently, the phone is available in Bangladesh and Kenya, with wider availability yet to be confirmed.

It was essentially a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge S, which had debuted earlier in China. Fast forward to today, the Lenovo-owned brand has launched the Moto G100 Pro in China. Here’s everything you need to know about its specifications, features, and price.

Positioned as a mid-range offering, the device features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Honor began teasing the arrival of the Honor X9c 5G back in February this year for the Indian market. However, the brand couldn’t proceed with the launch at that time. The phone, which originally debuted globally in November 2024, is now all set to go official in India on July 7—just days ahead of Amazon India’s Prime Day sale.

As per the official information, the Honor X9c 5G will sport a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming for flicker-free viewing. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.

The device will pack a large 6,600mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. It will feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, while the rear will house a 108-megapixel main camera with OIS support, accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phone will boot Android 15 out of the box with MagicOS 9.0 on top.

Other notable features include an IP65M-rated chassis, which ensures dust and water resistance. It will weigh 189 grams and measure 7.98mm in thickness. Connectivity options include USB-C, dual SIM support, and 5G connectivity.

The Honor X9c 5G will be available in two colors—Titanium Black and Jade Cyan. While the price is yet to be confirmed, it will go on sale from July 12 in a single 8GB+256GB configuration, exclusively via Amazon India.

Honor has just unveiled the MagicPad 3 at its latest event in China alongside the Magic V5 foldable. This new flagship tablet is designed for productivity and creativity, featuring a remarkably slim 5.79mm profile and weighing only 595 grams, making it the thinnest large-screen LCD tablet on the market.

OnePlus is set to launch the Buds 4 in India on July 8. The earbuds will debut on the same date in other global markets, including Europe, North America, and the UK, alongside the much-awaited Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5. They have been available in China since May 2025.

The earbuds come with dual drivers and dual DACs for detailed sound. They support Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio to offer better audio clarity and an immersive experience. For gamers, the Buds 4 feature a 47ms ultra-low latency Game Mode that reduces sound delay. This is useful during fast-paced gaming where timing matters.

Battery performance includes up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge, and a total of 45 hours with the case. Fast charging is supported, allowing for more listening time after short charging sessions.

The earbuds will be available in two color options, Zen Green and Storm Gray. Users can control volume with slide gestures on the earbud stems. The Buds 4 also use Steady Connect technology to maintain a stable Bluetooth connection, especially outdoors.

One standout feature is AI Translation, which lets users translate conversations in real time with a tap on the earbud. Honor Magic V5 debuts as the world’s thinnest foldable with Snapdragon 8 Elite & 6100mAh battery

Honor has officially launched the Magic V5 foldable smartphone at its AI Ecosystem event in China, positioning it as the world’s thinnest and lightest foldable flagship. The device folds to just 8.8mm in thickness and weighs as little as 217 grams, a remarkable engineering feat in the foldable segment.

Honor Magic V5 Specifications

The Honor Magic V5 features a 7.95-inch inner OLED display with a 2352×2172 resolution and a 6.43-inch external OLED display at 2376×1060. Both panels offer 120Hz LTPO refresh rates, 10.7 billion colors, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 5000 nits peak brightness for HDR content.

Honor also includes 4320Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort, AI-driven motion sickness reduction, and real-time color consistency across screens. The outer screen uses next-generation Giant Rhinoceros glass for better durability.

When folded, the Honor Magic V5 stands 156.8mm tall and 74.3mm wide, with the White model measuring 8.8mm thick and other variants slightly thicker at 9.0mm. Unfolded, the device expands to 145.9mm in width and measures just 4.1mm thick for the White version or 4.2mm for the others. The weight starts at 217 grams for the White model and goes up to 222 grams for the remaining color options.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and includes the Adreno 830 GPU for graphics. It comes in three memory variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and a premium option with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

The foldable runs MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15 and comes with Honor’s YOYO AI assistant, which includes a personal knowledge base. It supports AI document parsing, content summarization, real-time photo editing, and seamless interconnectivity across Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, Windows, and macOS.

For photography, the Magic V5 sports a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP wide-angle (f/1.6), a 50MP ultra-wide (f/2.0), and a 64MP periscope telephoto (f/2.5) with up to 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. It supports 4K video recording, laser focus, optical and electronic image stabilization, and advanced AI photo modes like AI object removal, reflection reduction, and face repair. The front features dual 20MP cameras on both inner and outer screens, each capable of recording up to 4K.

The phone packs a 5820mAh battery in most configurations, while the 1TB model includes a larger 6100mAh version. Both use Honor’s new Qinghai Lake Blade battery, the industry’s first with 15-25% silicon content, reaching 901Wh/L energy density. Fast charging is supported via 66W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge, with wireless reverse charging also included.

The Magic V5 includes dual stereo speakers, face unlock, an under-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. It also supports DisplayPort 1.2 through USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C.

The device is rated IP58 and IP59 for water and dust resistance. It uses Honor’s Luban AI manufacturing model to achieve micron-level precision in its hinge mechanism. The rear cover is made from aerospace-grade composite fiber with a diameter of just 0.014mm, delivering 40 times the impact resistance of steel while remaining lighter than paper.

The Honor Magic V5 is available in China in the following configurations:

Marshall Launches Middleton II Bluetooth Speaker with 360° Sound, 30-Hour Battery, and IP67 Rating

Marshall has launched the Middleton II, a portable speaker with stronger bass and clearer sound, even at high volume. It utilizes two 30W Class D amplifiers for the woofers and two 10W amplifiers for the tweeters. The speaker supports 360° True Stereophonic sound and delivers audio in the 45Hz to 20kHz range, with a maximum volume of 91 dB.

It is IP67 rated, which means it’s fully dustproof and can stay underwater at a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. You can control music, adjust volume, skip tracks, and take calls directly from the built-in multi-directional knob without using your phone. The speaker also includes a built-in mic for hands-free calling.

The Middleton II offers over 30 hours of playback on a full charge. A 20-minute quick charge gives about 5 hours of playtime. It can also act as a power bank, letting you charge your phone while you’re on the move.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless use and a 3.5mm AUX port for wired playback. The speaker also works with the Marshall Bluetooth app, which lets users update firmware and customize sound settings.

It has two 3-inch woofers and two 0.6-inch tweeters, weighs 1.8 kg, and measures 230 by 98 by 110 mm. The speaker comes in Black and Brass and Cream color options and includes a one-year warranty.

The price remains the same as the previous version, at EUR 299 or around USD 352. In India, it is listed for Rs. 31,999 on Marshall.com and will be available from July 15.

Sony launches Bravia Projector 7 and 9 in India with XR processor, native 4K & 120fps gaming

Sony has introduced two new home cinema projectors in India under its Bravia lineup: the Bravia Projector 7 and Bravia Projector 9. Both models deliver a premium native 4K HDR experience using the company’s advanced XR Processor. These projectors are designed for home theater setups and media rooms and come with support for gaming at 4K 120fps, smart home integration, and optimized image clarity.

Bravia Projector 7 Specifications

The Bravia Projector 7 features Sony’s 0.61-inch SXRD panels with native 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and a brightness output of 2,200 lumens. It uses a laser diode light source and supports HDR10 and HLG formats for high dynamic range playback. The projector is powered by Sony’s XR Processor for Projector, which enables technologies like XR Dynamic Tone Mapping, XR Deep Black, XR TRILUMINOS Pro, and XR Clear Image.

The projector includes manual lens shift with a vertical range of ±71% and horizontal range of ±25%, along with a throw ratio of 1.38–2.21. It supports two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K/120fps and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for gaming, along with input lag as low as 12ms. Other features include digital keystone correction, anamorphic compatibility, and a newly added Aspect Ratio Scaling mode for switching between 2.35:1 and 16:9 content without lens adjustments.

The Bravia Projector 7 supports integration with home automation systems such as Control4, Crestron, Savant, and AMX, and is compatible with remote maintenance services like OvrC and Domotz.

Bravia Projector 9 Specifications

The Bravia Projector 9 is the higher-end model in this series, offering 3,400 lumens of brightness and a wider powered zoom ratio of 2.1x. It uses the same 0.61-inch SXRD panels with native 4K resolution and a laser diode light source. The projector also runs on the XR Processor and supports HDR10 and HLG, with the same core image enhancement technologies found in the Bravia 7.

The Bravia Projector 9 includes Live Colour Enhancer, which improves vibrancy without over-saturation, making it more suitable for brighter rooms. It is equipped with an Advanced Crisp-Focused (ACF) lens featuring a 70mm aspherical element and a floating focus system. This setup ensures edge-to-edge clarity and minimizes distortion.

The lens shift range is wider here, with vertical adjustment of ±85% and horizontal shift of ±36%, along with a flexible throw ratio of 1.35–2.84. It supports the same gaming specs as the Bravia 7: 4K at 120fps, ALLM, and 12ms input lag, along with smart home compatibility and eco-friendly features like mercury-free laser technology and power-efficient laser dimming.

Pricing and Availability

Sony will begin sales of the new projectors in India from July 15, 2025, through its authorized distributors. The Bravia Projector 7 (VPL-XW5100ES) is priced at Rs. 6,50,000 ($7,585), while the Bravia Projector 9 (VPL-XW8100ES) will retail at Rs. 17,00,000 ($19,839).

Both models come with a standard three-year warranty on the main unit and three years or 5,000 hours on the laser light source, whichever comes earlier.

TCL launches Nxtpaper 11 Plus tablet in US with 120Hz paper-like display

TCL has launched the Nxtpaper 11 Plus tablet in the United States. The device is priced at $249 and is available exclusively through Walmart. TCL says the tablet features a flicker-free Nxtpaper 4.0 display that offers a paper-like viewing experience while reducing glare and blue light.

The Nxtpaper 11 Plus features an 11.5-inch IPS LCD with a 2.2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a 3:2 aspect ratio and supports a touch sampling rate of 120Hz. TCL uses a nano-etched layer on the panel to create an anti-glare surface that also resists fingerprints. The display supports adaptive brightness and color temperature adjustment without affecting contrast or color accuracy.

The tablet runs on Android 15 and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G100 processor. It features an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.2GHz, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
