Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE spotted on Geekbench with much improved performance

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 FE has been spotted on Geekbench, and the scores hint that the Tab S10 FE will be a significant upgrade in performance compared to its predecessor. The tablet will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, which powers the recently launched Galaxy A56. This new chip offers a substantial improvement in performance over the Exynos 1380 of the Tab S9 FE.

Galaxy-Tab-S10-FE

Folks at Sammobile reported seeing a significant improvement in the battery life of the Galaxy A56 over the A55 despite having the same battery capacity. The Galaxy A55 runs on the Exynos 1480 chip, which was said to be more power efficient than the Exynos 1380 of the Tab S9 FE. So readers may expect a significant improvement in battery life, thermal control, and sustained performance with the Tab S10 FE.

Information revealed by the Geekbench listing

The Geekbench listing for the Tab S10 FE shows it is equipped with 8GB of RAM, an upgrade from the 6GB base RAM of its predecessor. For those with a demand, both the Tab S10 FE and FE+ will reportedly offer configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. 128GB will be the base storage option.

Exynos 1580 delivers around 32% improvement in both single-core and multi-core benchmarks compared to the Exynos 1380 of the Tab S9 FE. Just as the CPU, the GPU of this chip is also significantly more capable than that of the Exynos 1380.

The Exynos 1580 features the Xclipse 540, which is based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture and is a significant leap from the ARM Mali-G68 MP5 graphics in the older chipset. This upgrade should result in enhanced gaming and graphical performance for the upcoming FE tablets.

Poco F7 Pro and Ultra EU Pricing Surfaces Online, Suggesting Steep Increase

Xiaomi is set to launch the Poco F7 series later this month, replacing last year’s Poco F6 lineup. Reports indicate that the new lineup will feature two models at launch: the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. Ahead of the launch, alleged Eurozone pricing for both models have surfaced online.

Redmi K80 Pro

Amazon listing screenshots shared on Reddit suggest a 20% increase over the previous generation, with the F7 Ultra model starting at €750 and reaching nearly €800 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. The F7 Pro 12 GB + 250GB model has been listed at €600. The series will be officially unveiled during a global launch event on March 27.

Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra Amazon listings

The Poco F7 Pro is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Poco F7 Ultra will reportedly use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The Ultra model is believed to be a rebranded Redmi K80 Pro and could include a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED panel with 2K resolution. It may house a 5,300mAh battery with 120W fast charging, which is slightly smaller than its K80 Pro counterpart.

Previous leaks suggested three models in the lineup: Poco F7, Poco F7 Pro, and Poco F7 Ultra. However, only the Pro and Ultra are expected to launch globally on March 27, with the base Poco F7 possibly debuting in Q2 2025. Benchmark leaks of the F7 Ultra indicate strong AI performance, with a Geekbench single-core score of 2,300 and a multi-core score of 8,150. The device is expected to run Android 15 out of the box.

Meanwhile, the Poco F7 Pro, likely a rebranded Redmi K80, may include a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Reports suggest India might only receive the base F7 model, skipping the Pro and Ultra variants. Xiaomi is also expected to unveil the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro in April, which may launch in India as the Poco F7.

Galaxy S23 and Tab S10 series finally get One UI 7 beta update

Galaxy S23, Tab S10 series One UI 7 beta

Finally, the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series users can now participate in the One UI 7 beta program and get early access to the latest features ahead of the public rollout. This has been a really long waiting period, which finally comes to an end.

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra users in India, Korea, the UK, and the US. So, the update has reached all intended regions. It comes with the One UI build version ending with ZYC3. It’s a pretty big upgrade with a download size of around 4.7GB.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series One UI 7 beta program

The Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 Ultra are also getting access to the One UI 7 beta program. The beta update has been spotted in Korea. However, it might be rolling out in other eligible countries as well. The One UI build version for the first One UI 7 beta update ends with ZYC2. Since it’s a significant upgrade, you’ll need to download a massive update package that weighs over 4GB in size.

Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, Ultra One UI 7 beta update

The first Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update for Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Tab S10 Plus, and Tab S10 Ultra brings One UI 7 goodies, as well as the March 2025 security patch. It also includes many Android 15 features coming directly from Google.

Related:
1. One UI 7 will be the last major upgrade for these Galaxy devices
2. One UI 7 on older Galaxy devices might not get this Galaxy AI feature

To install the One UI 7 beta update on your Samsung Galaxy device, you must register for the beta program first. Before that, ensure you have a device that’s eligible for the One UI 7 beta program and that you’re in a country where the beta program is available (eligible countries include India, Korea, the US, and the UK). The next step is to enroll in the One UI 7 beta program via the Samsung Members app. Then, go to Settings > Software update and tap Download and install to get the One UI 7 beta update.

The One UI 7 beta expansion to older Galaxy devices is going according to the plan. Earlier this month, Samsung revealed that One UI 7 beta will reach more devices, starting with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 (beta update already rolled out), and then it will reach Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55 in March. So, as promised, the Galaxy S23 and Tab S10 series are getting the One UI 7 beta update. Galaxy A55 will, too, join the party in the coming days.

The beta rollout is picking up; however, the stable rollout is still a month away. Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 7 stable rollout will begin in April. The stable update will obviously reach the Galaxy S24 series first before others get it. Whenever that happens, we’ll update you on this website. So, stick with us and regularly visit our Samsung section to get the latest news and updates.

These Samsung phones have access to stable One UI 7 software

Samsung One UI 7 stable devices

The fact that One UI 7 is a pretty significant upgrade in recent years amplifies the eagerness to explore the software. And why not? There are major UI upgrades, new widgets, animations, features, and a host of improvements that make it a solid upgrade. However, the rollout has been sluggish so far. In fact, Samsung still hasn’t updated any Galaxy device to the stable version of One UI 7.

The stable One UI 7 rollout is scheduled to kick off next month. However, there are already some Galaxy phones that run the stable version of One UI 7 out of the box. This is the best solution to experience the stable One UI 7 software right now. Simply, get a Galaxy phone that comes preinstalled with it. Below is the list of such devices.

Samsung phones that come with stable version of One UI 7

These Galaxy phones run the stable One UI 7 software right from the factory. Interestingly, there are some cheap phones as well from the M and F series. So, even cheap phones have access to One UI 7, but premium phones like Galaxy S24, Fold 6/Flip 6, and more are still in the queue. To many people, it seems like Samsung doesn’t care about older devices (premium devices included), further questioning Samsung’s software rollout strategy.

When will older Galaxy devices get stable One UI 7 update?

Samsung is currently busy expanding the One UI 7 beta program to more Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are the latest beta participants, with more devices to join it later this month. As for the stable release, it’s scheduled for next month.

While Samsung hasn’t provided a release timeline yet, it’s obvious that the Galaxy S24 series will be the first in line when the rollout begins next month. Other premium models, such as Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Tab S10 series, should join the party in the same month. It will then expand to mid-range and cheaper Galaxy devices.

While the stable update is at least a month away, you can get an early taste of One UI 7 via the beta program. For that, you need an eligible Samsung device (Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, Tab S10 series, Z Fold 6/Flip6, or Galaxy A55), and you must reside in a country that’s eligible for the beta program (eligible countries include India, Korea, the US, and the UK). Or, you can get a Galaxy device that runs One UI 7 out of the box.

Vivo X200 Ultra: Everything we know about the upcoming flagship phone

Vivo is gearing up to launch its next big flagship, the X200 Ultra. Expected to launch in China sometime between mid-to-late April, the device has already made plenty of headlines thanks to a flurry of leaks and rumors.

The buzz suggests we could see Fujifilm partnership on top of its existing Zeiss collaboration, a new AI imaging chip, and even an Action Button. Here’s what we know so far.

1. Design and Display

If the leaks are accurate, the X200 Ultra will retain the familiar aesthetic of its predecessor. That means a large circular camera island on the back, housing three sensors, with an LED flash positioned outside the module in the top-right corner.

Vivo X200 Ultra first render

The first render shows the phone with curved edges on the display, narrow bezels, and a centered hole-punch cutout for selfies. Although the render doesn’t show it, a reliable source suggests that the X200 Ultra will feature an Action Button. It is said to be located on the lower right side of the device and is designed primarily for quick access to photography and videography functions.

On the display front, the X200 Ultra is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch 2K 8T OLED panel with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate—a step up from the 1.5K screens on the standard and Pro models.

2. Performance

Unlike the X200 and X200 Pro, which are expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400, the Ultra model is rumored to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Vivo followed a similar strategy last year—MediaTek for the lower models, Snapdragon for the Ultra—so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the same pattern continue.

Backing the chipset will reportedly be up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a massive 2TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Powering all this hardware is said to be a 6,000mAh battery, with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. That’s a bump over the X100 Ultra’s 5,500mAh battery, which topped out at 80W wired and 30W wireless charging.

3. Cameras

Cameras have long been Vivo’s forte, and the X200 Ultra looks to be no exception. The phone is rumored to feature a 50MP Sony LYT-818 primary sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens with an 85mm focal length, and a 50MP macro telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the front camera is expected to be a 50MP shooter.

On the video front, the X200 Ultra could support 4K recording at 120fps across all cameras, with seamless lens switching for a smoother filming experience. It’s also expected to debut Vivo’s next-gen custom A1 imaging chip, and bring new features like Live Photo mode and 5-axis stabilization.

Interestingly, a recent leak also suggests Vivo may also partner with Fujifilm to enhance image processing and color science. But since this is the only leak so far about a Vivo-Fujifilm partnership, it’s worth taking with a grain of salt.

Other Features

Beyond photography, the X200 Ultra is expected to bring several high-end features:

  • IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance
  • NFC and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
  • Satellite communication support
  • Bluetooth 5.4 and infrared remote control

4. Availability

The X200 Ultra is expected to launch in March or April 2025, succeeding the X100 Ultra. However, like its predecessor, it may be limited to select global markets—meaning a wider release in regions like India remains uncertain.

Reports have revealed that the Poco F7 series will include three models: Poco F7 Ultra, Poco F7 Pro, and Poco F7. While the Pro and Ultra are expected to launch on March 27, the F7 may debut in the second quarter of this year.

The Poco F7 Ultra is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80 Pro. Therefore, it is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED 120Hz panel that offers a 2K resolution and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is speculated that while the K80 Pro has a 6,000mAh battery, the F7 Ultra may feature a smaller 5,300mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

Recently, the F7 Ultra was spotted with decent AI performance scores on Geekbench. Now, fresh benchmark listings revealing the single-core and multi-core scores of the device have emerged. The listings show that the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of RAM, and Android 15. It has scored around 2,300 in the single-core test and around 8,150 in the multi-core test.

The Poco F7 Pro, which is expected to be a rebranded Redmi K80, is said to house a 6.67-inch OLED 120Hz 2K panel and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The K80 has a 6,550mAh battery, but the F7 Pro may feature a smaller 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging.

Redmi is expected to unveil the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, featuring the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite, in April in China. The said device is likely to be rebranded as the Poco F7 in India. Speculations are rife that the Indian market will only receive the F7 and not the Pro and Ultra models.

Huawei confirms March 20 event

The biggest highlight of the upcoming launch event is expected to be Huawei’s first smartphone powered by the stable version of HarmonyOS Next. Multiple sources suggest that this groundbreaking device might feature an unconventional form factor, possibly a small foldable phone with a 3:2 screen ratio and a 6.28-inch inner display.

The device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera backed by a larger sensor. Its other rumored features include a dust and water-resistant build and a side-facing fingerprint sensor.  Another highlight of this device is that it is expected to be priced affordably, allowing more users to adopt the HarmonyOS ecosystem. While it is being dubbed as Pocket 3 or P70 Pocket by the rumor mill, there is a possibility that it may carry the Pura branding.

Apart from the smartphone, Huawei is also expected to unveil new tablet and automotive products. Reports indicate that the company is working on the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 edition, which could come with improved performance, battery life, and other upgrades over the 2024 model.

Oppo showcases Find N5 hinge durability in impressive demonstration

Oppo has proven that cutting-edge technology can be both sleek and sturdy. In a recently released YouTube video, the company demonstrated the remarkable toughness of the hinge on its recently released ultra-thin Find N5 book-style foldable.

The demonstration:

The video showcased four unfolded Find N5 devices supporting a dangling weight of 50 kg, which highlights the slim hinge’s exceptional strength and durability. However, it’s important to note that the test was conducted in a controlled setting. The devices were properly positioned to maximize their load-bearing capacity.

The video also showcased a person seated in the swing, which further emphasized the hinges’ robustness as the phones effortlessly withstood the stress. For those unfamiliar, the phone is just 4.2 mm thick when unfolded. Four of the hinges withstood 50kg of load, which, indeed, is impressive.

As for ingress protection, the Find N5 comes with IPX8 and IPX9 certifications, which means the phones can be submerged in clean water, and they can even withstand hot water jets, despite having moving parts that could serve as an entry point for the water to get inside. This places it among the most resilient foldable smartphones on the market. For the sake of comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is IP48 dust and water resistant, which means it can be submerged in water, but dust particles smaller than 1mm in diameter can still get inside the hinge. This isn’t the case for the latest Oppo foldable, at least on paper.

On the inside, the Find N5 packs the 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 5600 mAh Si/C battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The crease has also improved as compared to last year, which makes it a great choice for those okay with the typical ColorOS experience.

Unfortunately, the Find N5’s availability remains limited. Currently, the device is only sold in a few Asia-Pacific countries.

OnePlus 13T leak hints at a compact phone with visually appealing design, could be cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite phone

Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has hinted at an upcoming compact flagship smartphone from OnePlus will offer high-end performance and long battery life. While the tipster did not explicitly mention the name, the use of a specific emoji in his Weibo post suggests that he might be referring to the OnePlus 13T (aka. OnePlus 13 Mini).

OnePlus 13T to sport a compact and beautiful design

DCS’ Weibo post suggests that the OnePlus 13T will feature a simple camera module with an international aesthetic. He added that it will be one of the most visually appealing compact phones. Shown above is one of the unofficial renders of the 13T that’s being circulated on Chinese social media platforms.

OnePlus 13T specifications (rumored)

OnePlus 13T mock render-
OnePlus 13T mock render-

Previous reports have revealed that the OnePlus 13T is likely to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED 120Hz screen with a 1.5K resolution and minimal bezels on all four sides. The screen is expected to house a short-focus in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13T is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the same chipset as the standard OnePlus 13. The phone will reportedly feature a metal middle frame and a glass back, contributing to a premium build.

Oppo Find X8S moniker belongs to compact 6.3-inch display phone

Reports initially suggested that Oppo’s upcoming 6.3-inch model might be called the Find X8 Mini, while the 6.6-inch version was speculated to be the Find X8S. However, tipster Digital Chat Station previously clarified that “Find X8 Mini” was merely a placeholder name. Now, the latest leak confirms that the 6.3-inch variant will indeed be named the Oppo Find X8S, while the official branding for the 6.6-inch model remains undisclosed. It remains to be seen whether Oppo will name it the Find X8S Pro or Find X8 Next.

Oppo Find X8S key details tipped

The Oppo Find X8S is expected to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display, making it one of the most compact premium smartphones in the market. With a thickness of under 8.15mm, likely around 7.xxmm, and a weight of less than 187g, it aims to be the thinnest and lightest in its category. It will also have ultra-narrow bezels measuring under 1.38mm, maximizing screen space for an immersive experience.

Oppo is reportedly equipping the Find X8S with a battery exceeding 5,700mAh, the largest among similar-sized smartphones. Additionally, the device will support wireless charging, offer IP certification for water and dust resistance, and feature Hasselblad-branded periscope zoom imaging for an enhanced photography experience.

Under the hood, the Oppo Find X8S is likely to be powered by the forthcoming MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which offers a high-performance Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.7GHz. The chipset is expected to debut on April 11.

As per a recent report, the Find X8S’ rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom. It is also expected to support 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and feature the new push-type Magic Cube hardware key instead of an Alert Slider.

Oppo is set to unveil the Find X8S in April in China, alongside the Find X8S Pro / X8 Next, and Find X8 Ultra. At the same event, the company may also announce other devices, such as the Oppo Pad 4 Pro tablet, Enco Free 4 TWS earbuds, and the Watch X2 Mini.

Global smartwatch shipments fell 7% in 2024, marking the first-ever decline

The smartwatch industry just hit a historic speed bump. After years of steady growth, global smartwatch shipments fell by 7% in 2024, marking the first decline the market has ever seen. According to Counterpoint Research, the downturn was largely driven by Apple’s weakening momentum, sluggish upgrade cycles, and a slowdown in the basic smartwatch category, particularly in India.

Apple Watch Series 9
Apple Watch Series 9

However, while the overall market shrank, China stepped up. For the first time, the country overtook North America and India to claim the largest share of global smartwatch shipments. The charge was led by homegrown giants Huawei, Xiaomi, and BBK’s Imoo, which capitalized on an increasingly engaged Chinese consumer base.

Apple Stumbles, China Rises

Apple, the longtime smartwatch king, held onto its throne, but not without bruises. Shipments of the Apple Watch plummeted 19% YoY, weighed down by lackluster upgrades in the Series 10 lineup and the surprising absence of an Ultra 3 model. Patent disputes also complicated things, curbing shipments in the first half of the year. In North America, where Apple is strongest, many consumers opted to sit this cycle out, waiting for more meaningful innovations.

Global Smartwatch shipments 2024

Meanwhile, Samsung quietly gained ground, growing 3% YoY thanks to its expanded Galaxy Watch lineup, including the first-ever Galaxy Watch Ultra. Xiaomi made even bigger waves, becoming the fastest-growing smartwatch brand in 2024 and breaking into the top five global rankings for the first time. Its success was driven by an aggressive portfolio expansion, with models like the Watch S1 and Redmi Watch finding strong traction across multiple regions.

Kids’ Smartwatches Are Booming

While most smartwatch segments took a hit, one category bucked the trend: kids’ smartwatches. Brands like Imoo dominated the space, meeting the rising demand from parents who want an easy way to track and stay connected with their children. Even traditionally adult-focused brands like Noise, boAt, and Fitbit have started shifting focus to this growing segment.

Despite the market’s first-ever decline, the future isn’t all bleak. Analysts expect a slow recovery in 2025, with single-digit growth driven by AI-powered features and next-gen health sensors. Think smarter heart monitoring, sleep apnea detection, and even early diabetes warnings. But to stay relevant, brands will have to fight harder for regulatory approvals and push the boundaries of what a smartwatch can really do.

The smartwatch market isn’t dead—it’s just evolving.
