TP-LINK has launched a new smart doorbell, the TL-DB54H, on JD.com for a budget-friendly price of 189 yuan (approximately $31 USD). This doorbell packs a surprising amount of features into its compact design.

There are two infrared fill lights that offer a night vision distance of 5 meters

Unihertz teases Jelly Max, could this be the smallest 5G smartphone?

Unihertz, the company known for its pocket-sized smartphones, has teased a new addition to the Jelly series – the Jelly Max. This upcoming phone hints at being the world’s smallest 5G smartphone, packing next-generation connectivity into a body that might surprise you.

Unihertz Jelly Max

Unihertz Teases Its First 5G Jelly Phone

While official details are still under wraps, Unihertz has released teasers that give us a glimpse of what to expect. The Jelly Max appears to sport a modern punch-hole display with the camera positioned discreetly in the top left corner. This design choice often indicates the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor, hinting at a potentially sleek OLED screen.

The size remains a delightful mystery. Based on comparisons with a standard keyboard layout in the teasers, estimates suggest a screen diagonal hovering between 4 and 5 inches. This would make the Jelly Max a noticeable jump from the current champion, the Unihertz Jelly Star. The Jelly Star boasts the title of the smallest Android 13 phone with its 3-inch display.

Another exciting takeaway from the teasers is the confirmation that the Jelly Max abandons the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset found in the Jelly Star. This suggests a more powerful processor under the hood, one capable of handling the demands of 5G connectivity.

As of now, the Jelly Max hasn’t secured crucial certifications like 3C certification in China, or approval from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT). These certifications are essential for a phone to be legally sold in certain markets.

This lack of certification indicates that the Jelly Max is likely in the early stages of development. While Unihertz is known for its innovative and niche products, it might be some time before the Jelly Max hits the shelves.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G Indian & EU price leaks ahead of June 24 launch

OnePlus plans to launch the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G smartphone on June 24 in India, and other global markets. OnePlus has already confirmed many of its specifications, while the others have leaked online. Now, tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked how much the smartphone will cost in India, while a separate French retail listing has revealed the Eurozone pricing for the 256GB storage model.

As per Amazon screenshots shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G will launch with a ₹19,999 price tag. This is the same price tag at which the brand debuted the previous Nord CE 3 Lite 5G. It is more than likely that the brand could offer some back discounts to further reduce the price of the device. On the other hand, France retailer MediaMarkt has already listed the 256 GB storage variant of the smartphone for €329.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G specs:

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G will feature a design similar to the Oppo K12x. It will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2100 nits peak brightness. For audio, the phone will have a dual stereo speaker setup.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G

For optics, it will feature an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera along with a secondary lens, which could be a 2MP portrait lens with an f/2.4 aperture. As for the front camera, the device could feature a 16MP sensor.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G

Under the hood, the device is said to feature the Snapdragon 695 processor to the disappointment of many. For those unaware, the Snapdragon 695 SoC was launched back in 2021 and has already powered the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G as well as the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. The device will draw power from a 5,500mAh battery unit with support for 80W wired and 5W reverse charging. More details will be officially confirmed in a few hours, so stay tuned for our OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G launch coverage.

Samsung is hosting a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 for its new Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 foldable smartphones. The brand is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 7 series at this event. Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 BIS

As per the Amazon listing, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 40mm BT model will come with 128GB onboard storage, offering features like Activity Tracker, Alarm Clock, and Contactless Payments. The watch uses Bluetooth for connectivity and has a lithium-ion battery. It has a round shape and a 40-millimeter screen.

Additionally, this model features a 3nm AP chipset for better power efficiency and smoother operation. It also has the BioActiveSensor2 for more accurate heart rate measurements during exercise and sleep. The Galaxy Watch 7 will act as a daily AI companion, providing AI-powered support for sleep, exercise, and communication. It also includes Galaxy AI smart reply to help with messaging on the watch.

According to the Amazon listing, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is set to go on sale on July 16th. The watch will be priced at $358.55 CAD, which is roughly equivalent to $299 USD. The Samsung Unpacked event is expected to take place on July 10, 2024.

In related news, Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2500 chips meant for the Galaxy S25 series smartphones are in trouble due to the low yield of Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 3 nm process (SF3). Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that Samsung might have to entirely rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 if the yield problems continue. That said, Samsung is not yet ready to give up on the chip, with October likely being the deadline to improve its yields from the current 20%, all the way up to 60%, which is the minimum requirement for mass-producing the chips.

Nepali EV brand to launch world’s first two-wheeler with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Nepali electric vehicle (EV) startup Yatri Motorcycles announced on Wednesday (June 19) that their upcoming Project 1 Gen 2 (P1 Gen 2) will be the world’s first two-wheeler to integrate wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

According to Thakur Poudel, Yatri’s technical director, the feature has so far been limited to four-wheeled vehicles. The P1 Gen 2 aims to change that by offering seamless smartphone integration for both Android and iOS users.

This will allow riders to seamlessly connect their P1 Gen 2 to their smartphones. Most importantly, it’s wireless, so you won’t need cables or additional accessories to enjoy this feature.

Yatri P1 Gen 2 Wireless Android Auto Apple Carplay

Riders can access phone functions directly through the bike’s built-in display and use voice commands for safe navigation, calls, messages, and music control while riding.

The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is the first major revealed feature of the P1 Gen 2. Yatri has been teasing the second generation of their Project 1 since late 2023.

Beyond connectivity, the P1 Gen 2 will add a crash cage and frame slider for enhanced protection. This addition is expected to be available for existing P1 owners as well since the bike’s overall design remains unchanged.

Yatri emphasizes that the most significant improvements lie within the P1 Gen 2’s core functionalities. They have reportedly analyzed over 1 million kilometers of P1 user data alongside general user feedback to refine performance, comfort, and stability for the next iteration.

While the launch date is still under wraps, reports suggest a 2024 release for the P1 Gen 2. Pricing details are also yet to be revealed. For context, the original P1 currently retails at a starting price of Rs 565,000 (approximately $4,240) in Nepal.
