While the configurations and color options of the device have been officially confirmed, there has not been any concrete information about the chipset that powers it. Now the Magic V Flip has emerged on the Geekbench benchmarking platform to reveal its chipset and a few other details.

The Magic V Flip has now surfaced on Geekbench with the SM8475 Qualcomm chipset. The model number of the chipset and the CPU configuration mentioned in the listing are good hints that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powers the Magic V Flip.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the Magic V Flip has 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android. The company has previously confirmed that 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage variants of the device will come equipped with 12 GB of RAM. The Magic V Flip scored 1732 and 4431 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.

The Magic V Flip may arrive with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. It is speculated that the massive cover display of the device measures around 4 inches. Furthermore, reports suggest that the device’s inner foldable screen can support a resolution of 1.5K. For photography, it has a dual camera setup headlined by an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel camera. It will be available in three colors, such as Iris Black, Champagne Pink, and Camellia White.

Apple Intelligence is Powerful, but it Currently has a Waitlist and Really Slow Response Times

Apple unveiled its highly anticipated AI system, “Apple Intelligence,” at WWDC 2024. While the promise of an intelligent assistant across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices this fall is exciting, there are some limitations to be aware of.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be the first devices to be compatible with it

MacRumors discovered hints within the iOS 18 beta code suggesting Apple Intelligence might have a waitlist system. Phrases like “Join the Graymatter waitlist” (Graymatter being the codename) indicate potential limitations on user access during the initial launch.

Furthermore, code mentions “unusually slow response times” in unsupported areas, suggesting a phased rollout to manage server load and ensure functionality. Whether this “limited preview” restricts the number of users or limits the available features of Apple Intelligence initially remains unclear. It’s also possible that both limitations might be implemented simultaneously. Currently, it is only compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. While all iPhone 16 models expected later this year will likely support it, users will have to wait until at least September.

The good news is that Apple Intelligence extends beyond iPhones. iPad and Mac devices equipped with Apple’s M series chips will also be able to access this intelligent assistant.

Apple Vision Pro headset is coming to eight more countries including China from June 28

The Apple Vision Pro headset is set for release in eight countries after its official release four months back. The countries slated for early pre-order sales of the model are Japan, Singapore, and China where a sub-$300 Apple Vision Pro alternative has been gaining popularity. The announcement was made during the annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 11, 2024. The Apple Vision Pro was officially launched four months ago and Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the availability of the model in a sprinkling of some major markets.

The Apple Vision Pro is the Cupertino-based company’s first head-mounted display device with a long-term goal of replacing the hugely successful iPhone in the future. It is described as a new augmented reality platform and a spatial computing device. It can merge digital content with the real world to create augmented reality experiences for users.

Apple Vision Pro comes with a minimum storage capacity of 256GB and up to 1TB. Optical inserts on the model are sold separately, as is the case with what is obtained in the US market. A second headset could be in the works with the availability of the Apple Vision Pro in the international market. There are rumors that the next Apple Vision headset will be released in late 2025 or early 2026. Apple Vision Pro pre-orders for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK will open on June 28 but sales will commence on July 12.

At launch, the Apple Vision Pro retailed at $3,499 but minimal discounts have been factored in since then. The international pricing of the Apple Vision Pro significantly aligns with the US price with little variation due to currency fluctuations and location-specific tax policies.

The 256GB version of the Apple Vision Pro in China is priced at 29,999 yuan ($4,135) while the 512GB model is priced at 31,499 yuan ($4,342). The 1TB version of the Vision Pro headset in China will retail at 32,999 yuan ($4,549). The optional optical inserts for the Apple Vision Pro are priced starting at 7
99 yuan ($69).

OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will offer Bugatti Veyron-inspired ceramic back & metal frame, claims tipster

The schematics of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro have already emerged on the internet a couple of days ago. The phone has also bagged 3C certification towards the end of last month. Now the phone is rumored to come with a ceramic back and a metal middle frame.

OnePlus Ace 3 Pro with ceramic back and metal frame

Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has made the claim in one of his Weibo posts. Another recent rumor from the platform also claimed that many upcoming devices will adopt this new material in 2024. According to DCS, OnePlus will use a hot forging process for the ceramic back plate. He also added that the back panel will be white. Although, it may not be pure white but a shade of it.

The tipster says that the inspiration for using ceramic came from the ceramic version of the Bugatti Veyron. Notably, he mentioned that the back ceramic surface of the plate will have a distinct texture.

DCS separately mentioned that the phone will be the first to come with a metal middle frame + ceramic back plate build.

Notably, ceramic is generally heavier than glass, so the weight could increase slightly. Speaking of the cost, the new material is also more expensive than glass. The tipster also noted that the ceramic version could be more expensive.

Nonetheless, this is still a rumor and the company may cancel its plan regarding ceramic.

Speaking of the internals, the OnePlus Ace3 Pro is expected to be powered by last year’s flagship chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It may equip a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup on the back paired with a 16MP camera on the front. There could be a 6.78-inch BOE 8T LTPO screen with a 1.5K resolution.

According to a previous rumor, the phone will house a massive 6100mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging.

HTC U24 Pro leaked poster shows a curved display and pill shaped camera module

According to a previous teaser from HTC, it will launch the U24 / Pro smartphones on June 12. Now a poster of the HTC U24 Pro has leaked, revealing the design language of the model.

HTC U24 Pro design and rumored specs

As you can see from the image, the phone comes with a triple rear camera setup on the back and a centered punch-hole camera in the front. Two of the three cameras rest inside a pill-shaped module and the third one is separated from the other two. A pill-shaped flash is placed outside the camera module. Interestingly, the camera system has one less lens as compared to the HTC U23 Pro, which was launched in May last year. The predecessor had a 2MP depth sensor, which the company might have removed.

The screen also appears to be curved on the sides, however, it can be due to the reflection from a certain angle. The chin on the bottom could be slightly wider than the one on the top. The image also shows a rounded middle frame while the predecessor comes with a flat design. Based on previous rumors, it could be a 6.8″ FHD+ (1080 x 2436) OLED display.

speaking of the internals, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is an upgrade from last year’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The phone has already appeared on GeekBench confirming that there will be a 12 GB RAM variant of the phone. It could be paired with 256GB storage.

What to expect?

To give you an idea about what to expect, the U23 Pro comes with a 108MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and a 2MP depth camera. There is a 32MP centered punch-hole camera in the front.

There is a 4600mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. Unlike many in its range, the U23 Pro offers 15W wireless charging support. So the U24 Pro could also support wireless charging alongside a slightly faster wired charging and possibly a 5000mAh battery.

That being said, the poster is still a leaked one, so take the design shift with a pinch of salt. More details will be shared soon.

Logitech Releases the Combo Touch Keyboard Case in Chinese Markets, Designed for iPad Air (M2) and iPad Pro (M4)

Logitech has unveiled the Chinese version of their Combo Touch keyboard case, designed specifically for the newest iPad Air (M2) and iPad Pro (M4) models released in May.

The case has been crafted from sustainable materials

The new Combo Touch prioritizes both portability and eco-consciousness, being crafted from sustainable materials while holding the title of Logitech’s thinnest and lightest keyboard case yet. It offers a detachable keyboard for flexible use and a versatile kickstand to accommodate different viewing angles. Notably, the Combo Touch integrates Logitech’s largest Multi-Touch trackpad to date.

The keyboard itself features a standard layout with automatic backlighting, offering 16 brightness levels for comfortable typing in various lighting conditions. Shortcut keys are also included for essential commands like volume control, media playback, and screenshots, enhancing overall workflow and user experience. The keyboard conveniently connects directly to the iPad, eliminating the need for separate charging or Bluetooth pairing.

For users seeking a more affordable option, the Combo Touch comes in Graphite for the iPad Pro and Oxford Gray for the iPad Air. Here’s a breakdown of the pricing:

  • Combo Touch for iPad Air 11-inch: 1698 yuan
  • Combo Touch for iPad Air 13-inch: 1898 yuan
  • Combo Touch for iPad Pro 11-inch: 1898 yuan
  • Combo Touch for iPad Pro 13-inch: 2198 yuan

While the Combo Touch is lighter and slightly cheaper compared to Apple’s Magic Keyboard (priced at 2,399 yuan for the 11-inch and 2,799 yuan for the 13-inch), it’s worth noting the trade-off in features. The Magic Keyboard offers a superior user experience with a tactile feedback trackpad, a feature missing from the Combo Touch.

Ultimately, the choice between the Logitech Combo Touch and Apple’s Magic Keyboard depends on your priorities. If budget is a major concern and you value a lightweight design, the Combo Touch is a compelling option. However, if a more premium experience with a tactile trackpad is important, then the Magic Keyboard might be the better fit.

Spotify will Charge its Users $5 Extra Each Month for the Hi-Fi Audio Feature in the Premium Tier

Spotify is reportedly on the verge of launching a high-fidelity audio add-on for its streaming service according to a Bloomberg report. This premium tier is expected to cost an additional $5 per month and will come with several new features besides improved audio quality.

Spotify previously announced its hi-fi audio plans for 2021

Existing Spotify Premium subscribers will have the option to add the HiFi tier to their current plan, bringing the total monthly cost to $16.99 (considering the upcoming base price increase to $11.99 for Premium). Bloomberg’s report suggests this add-on will also include playlist creation tools designed for specific activities, dates, or times of year. Spotify originally announced its HiFi audio plans for 2021, but the launch never materialized. Since then, rumors have swirled about the specifics of this premium tier. Last year, Bloomberg reported on a potential “Supremium” HiFi plan with a higher price point. Another report, from The Wall Street Journal, suggested the add-on might bundle a remix feature allowing users to adjust the playback speed of tracks.

Code discovered within the Spotify app in 2023 offered further clues about the potential features of the HiFi add-on. This leaked code hinted at the inclusion of 24-bit lossless audio, AI-powered playlist creation, and a mood-based song filtering tool for playlists. More recently, a Reddit user discovered code mentioning “lossless has arrived” within the app, followed by another user sharing leaked UI elements that referenced lossless quality reaching up to 2,117kbps and the availability of 24-bit/44.1kHz for specific songs using the FLAC audio format.

How does the Huawei MatePad SE 11 compare to the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE?

Both Huawei MatePad SE 11 and Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE are budget tablets aiming to deliver the essentials at an affordable price point. Launched in June 2024, the MatePad SE 11 is the newer entrant, while the Redmi Pad SE hit the market globally last year and recently launched in India in April 2024. Let’s delve into their specifications, features, and strengths to help you decide which one might be the better choice for you.

Huawei MatePad SE 11

1. Display

The tablets share similar screen sizes – an 11-inch FHD+ LCD panel (1920 x 1200 pixels). However, the Redmi Pad SE boasts a smoother user experience with a 90Hz refresh rate compared to the MatePad SE 11’s standard 60Hz refresh rate. This translates to smoother scrolling, animations, and potentially better gaming performance on the Redmi Pad SE.

2. Design and Build

Both tablets opt for a metal build, offering a premium look and feel. The MatePad SE 11 comes in Crystal Blue and Nebula Gray, while the Redmi Pad SE offers a wider color variety with Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green options. Dimensionally, they are very close with the Redmi Pad SE being slightly heavier (478g vs 475g for the MatePad SE 11).

3. Processor and Software

The exact processor powering the MatePad SE 11 remains unconfirmed by Huawei. Leaks suggest it could be either a Kirin 710A or a Snapdragon 680 chipset. The Redmi Pad SE comes equipped with the Snapdragon 680 SoC. Both processors are capable of handling everyday tasks, light gaming, and browsing the web. However, the Snapdragon 680 might offer slightly better performance, especially for multitasking, due to its more recent architecture.

The software side presents a significant difference. The MatePad SE 11 runs on HarmonyOS 2.0, Huawei’s own operating system. While HarmonyOS offers a smooth experience, you might miss popular Google apps like Gmail, Play Store, and YouTube due to ongoing US trade restrictions. The Redmi Pad SE runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 for Pad on top (upgradable to HyperOS), giving you full access to the Google Play Store and its vast app library.

4. Storage and RAM

Both tablets offer a variety of storage and RAM options. The MatePad SE 11 comes in 64GB or 128GB storage configurations, with RAM options of 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB. The Redmi Pad SE offers 128GB storage with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB expandable storage using microSD. Users who prioritize multitasking and storing a lot of media might prefer the 8GB RAM option on either tablet.

5. Cameras

Neither tablet boasts impressive camera setups. Both the MatePad SE 11 and Redmi Pad SE sport an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, suitable for basic video calls and casual photos. If you plan on taking a lot of pictures with your tablet, you might be better off using a smartphone.

6. Battery Life

The MatePad SE 11 packs a substantial 7700mAh battery, which should easily last a full day of moderate to heavy usage. Additionally, it supports 22.5W fast charging, ensuring quick top-ups when needed. While the Redmi Pad SE also has an 8000mAh battery, it only supports 10W charging, which means longer charging times compared to the MatePad SE 11.

7. Special Features

The Huawei MatePad SE 11 boasts support for the M-Pen Lite stylus, which allows for writing, drawing, and note-taking. This can be a valuable addition for students or creative professionals. The tablet also features multi-window, a kid’s corner for safe and controlled use, and MeeTime calling for video communication. Both tablets offer quad speakers for better multimedia experiences.

8. Price

Pricing information for the Huawei MatePad SE 11 is not yet available globally. The Redmi Pad SE, however, has already been launched and starts at around €199 in Europe and Rs. 12,999 in India for the 4GB + 128GB variant.

On the other hand, the Redmi Pad SE’s 90Hz refresh rate, HyperOS, and competitive pricing make it a strong contender in the budget tablet market.

CMF Buds 2, Watch Pro 2 Seemingly Teased To Launch Alongside Phone 1

Last week, CMF confirmed the launch of its Phone 1 smartphone with an Orange leather back panel and a smart dial. Leaks and rumors have revealed some key details of the device. Now, the Nothing sub-brand has shared a 15-second teaser video on its X handle. It is titled ‘Reinventing the Wheel’ and refers to the smart dial. The teaser is very cryptic and we are left guessing by CMF.

CMF Watch and Buds also teased to launch alongside Phone 1

The teaser shows three dials rotating slowly. They don’t appear to belong to a single device. The first device is obviously the CMF Phone 1 as it is confirmed to get the dial at the bottom right side of the back panel. We can see that there is a visible screw under the dial that could serve as a lanyard. We can expect it to perform more functions. The teaser also confirms that the upcoming phone will be available in a Matte Black colour alongside Orange.

The second product in the teaser pretty much seems to be CMF Buds 2. This is because the dial looks similar to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the third device could be the CMF Watch Pro 2. You can see the rotating dial popping up. This also suggests that it can be replaced to customize the look of the smartwatch. We can expect the Nothing sub-brand to reveal more details about its upcoming products in the coming days. Hopefully, not too confusing and cryptic.

As per leaks, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display, a 50MP rear and a 16MP front camera. It will reportedly be powered by a Dimensity 7200 SoC. The upcoming smartphone is tipped to carry a box price of Rs 19,999.

Realme GT 6: What’s the hype behind the upcoming flagship killer?

Realme is gearing up to unveil the Realme GT 6 in the Indian and global markets soon. The brand’s latest flagship killer has been spotted on various teasers and reports in the days leading up to the launch. So now, here’s everything that has been revealed and what you can expect from the Realme GT 6.

Realme GT 6

1. Realme GT 6: Premium Design & Display

To recall, the Realme GT 6 arriving in the global market is not the same as the GT 6 model that was released in the brand’s home market of China. Rather, it is expected to be a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 6, which also launched in China back in May. So it retains the premium glass design for its rear panel. The back also comes with a dual tone color scheme and three circular modules for the camera sensors and LED flash.

The GT Neo 6 model came with an IP65 water and dust resistance rating, so the global version of the Realme GT 6 would likely offer the same. Meanwhile, on the front, it is rumored to sport a tall 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED display that is made by BOE. This screen is surrounded by thin bezels and is surrounded by a metallic frame. It will likely offer 1.5K resolution, HDR, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The GT Neo 6 came with 1,600 nits of brightness (HBM) and 6,000 nits of peak brightness. For protection, it is rumored to come with a curved edge Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

2. Affordable flagship with high-end processor

A flagship killer is defined by its relatively affordable price tag compared to their true flagship counterparts. These also offer top-notch specs and features. Under the hood, the global variant of the Realme GT 6 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC that might be paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 of internal storage. This high-end chipset is cooled via the world’s largest 10,014 sq mm dual VC cooling system, as per a recent teaser.

3. Big battery with super fast charging & AI

A massive 5,500mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 120W wired fast charging. In just 10 minutes, Realme claims it can charge the device to 50 percent. A full 100 percent charge could take just 28 minutes. The brand had recently teased the AI packed features that will be arriving in the upcoming device. Realme’s GT 6 will employ AI in three key areas, namely imaging, efficiency, and personalization.

4. Camera, Other Features, & Launch

For optics, the Realme GT 6 is expected to offer a triple dual camera setup on the rear that consists of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. The device comes with a dedicated ISP as well. This model will likely run on the Android 14 OS based Realme UI 5 custom skin out of the box. This device is set to launch on 20th June 2024 in various markets across the globe.
