The Sharp Aquos S2 was announced on August 8th 2017 in China with sales expected to begin on August 14.
The smartphone is Sharp’s second instalment in the Aquos line, a ultra-bezel-less device.
The device is the successor of Sharp’s Aquos S1, an earlier device that was known for its ‘first-market’ bezel-less display. The Aquos S1 was limited to the Japanese market.
The Aquos S2’s design resembles the Essential PH-1.
The Aquos S2 will be available in two models, a higher-mid tier (Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM and 128GB) and a mid-tier (Snapdragon 630, 4GB RAM and 64GB) model.
The device will come in four colors; Crystal Black, Glazed White, Blue and Mint Green.
The device will come with NFC, USB-C (w/ Audio Support). The smartphone lacks a headphone jack.
