The device has been spotted on the benchmark site, AI Benchmark.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-note-10.html">Redmi Note 10</a> doesn&#8217;t just appear on the list but even makes a grand entrance by grabbing the second position, outperformed only by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-z1/">Vivo iQOO Z1</a> which has a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/07/mediatek-dimensity-1000-announced-with-higher-refresh-rate-support/">Dimensity 1000+</a> processor. The listing was first spotted by the Chinese leaker, <em>Digital Chat Station</em>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-333184 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark.png?x10805" alt="Redmi Note 10 AI Benchmark" width="1856" height="563" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark.png 1856w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-300x91.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-768x233.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-1024x311.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-696x211.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-1068x324.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Redmi-Note-10-AI-Benchmark-1385x420.png 1385w" sizes="(max-width: 1856px) 100vw, 1856px" /></p>
<p>According to <em>AI Benchmark</em>, the Redmi Note 10 is powered by MediaTek&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/18/mediatek-announces-dimensity-820-chipset-for-affordable-5g-devices/">Dimensity 820</a> processor which is the same chipset inside the China-exclusive <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-10x-5g/">Redmi 10X 5G</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-10x-pro-5g/">Redmi 10X Pro 5G</a>. It is also shown that the phone has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10, and the listing shows that it was benchmarked on Monday, July 20.</p>
<p>It sure is pretty early for the Redmi Note 10 to launch seeing as the Redmi Note 9 series is barely three months old. However, there is a chance the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-note-10.html">Redmi Note 10</a> may be a China-exclusive device since the Redmi Note 9 didn&#8217;t launch in the country. We might also get a global version that will arrive much later. This global version may not have support for 5G and it may come with a Snapdragon chipset.</p>
<p>What do you want to see in Redmi Note 10? Do you think it is too early for the Redmi Note 9 to get a successor? Do let us know what you think in the comment box below.</p>

The chipset comes with dual NPU hardware which not only makes it superior than its predecessor but also superior compared to its competition.</p>
<p>The AI Benchmark test puts the newly announced Kirin 990 5G chipset ahead of the Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/15/snapdragon-855-plus-announced-higher-clockspeed-but-same-old-modem/">Snapdragon 855 Plus</a> SoC, topping the rankings. The chipset has achieved a score of 52,403 in the test, far ahead compared to the scores of Unisoc Tiger T710 and Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.</p>

<p>The Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G is a 7nm octa-core chipset that has 10.3 billion transistors. It uses two big, two middle and four little cores to optimize multitasking, with clock speeds of 2.86GHz, 2.36GHz and 1.95GHz respectively. The 990 5G also packs a 16-core Mali G76 graphics processor which should offer plenty of power for mobile gaming, as well as smart cache built in to reduce bandwidth by up to 15 percent.</p>
<p>It is also touted to be the first full-frequency <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G</a> SoC — with support both non-standalone and standalone architectures as well as TDD/FDD full frequency bands. The Kirin 990 is a true unified design, supporting Sub-6 GHz 5G networks on both SA and NSA architectures.</p>
<p>For photography, it has a new fifth-generation Dual ISP boasts DSLR-level hardware noise reduction and block-matching and 3D filtering. Huawei’s smartphone cameras already produce stunning low-light results, but it looks like that can be improved further.</p>

<p>Aside from implementing the 5G modem, the biggest change in the Kirin 990 is going to be the NPU, or Neural Processing Unit. Boiled down to basics, it’s a co-processor optimized for the sort of vector math that’s the lifeblood of machine learning frameworks.</p>

The SoC has been benchmarked on AI-benchmark and it floors all the mobile processors including the Kirin 810 which used to be the king.</p>
<p>The Tiger T710 is an octa-core processor that uses the big.LITTLE architecture. There are four Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It also has a PowerVR GM 9446.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267667" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-AI-Benchmark-result.png?x10805" alt="Tiger T710 AI Benchmark result" width="914" height="376" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-AI-Benchmark-result.png 914w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-AI-Benchmark-result-300x123.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-AI-Benchmark-result-768x316.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-AI-Benchmark-result-696x286.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 914px) 100vw, 914px" /></p>
<p>Based on this configuration, the Tiger T710 is even a more powerful chipset than the Helio P90 which has a similar configuration, although 2 x A75 cores and 6 x A55 cores but the same GPU. And an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/12/27/mediatek-helio-p90-antutu-benchmarks-reveal-its-good-rival-for-snapdragon-710/">AnTuTu benchmark result of the Helio P90</a> shows it is a rival to Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 710 processor (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/10/31/antutu-confirms-the-lenovo-z5-pro-is-indeed-powered-by-the-snapdragon-710/">Lenovo Z5 Pro AnTuTu</a>). Since the Helio P90 test device scores higher than the Snapdragon 710-powered Lenovo Z5 Pro, then Unisoc&#8217;s Tiger T710 should even widen the margin.</p>
<p>Back to the AI benchmark. The Tiger T710 has an AI score of 28,097, beating the Kirin 810&#8217;s score of 23,944 by a significant margin. A break down of the score shows the Kirin 810 has a slightly higher Float AI Score. However, the Tiger T710 beats it and all the other SoCs in Quantized AI models. There is a full review of the chipset <a href="http://ai-benchmark.com/news_2019_04_18_spreadtrum_ud710.html">here</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267666" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710.png?x10805" alt="Tiger T710 AI Benchmark result" width="899" height="319" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710.png 899w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-300x106.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-768x273.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Tiger-T710-696x247.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 899px) 100vw, 899px" /></p>
<p>There is no info yet regarding the launch of the Tiger T710 and we don&#8217;t know which manufacturers will use it in their devices. Nevertheless, we are pretty excited about the chipset and are looking forward to more benchmark results.</p>

A benchmark result has surfaced that compares the AI performance of major chipsets including upcoming ones, and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/qualccomm">Qualcomm</a>&#8216;s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8150 takes the top spot.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-223908" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-test.png?x10805" alt="AI Benchmark" width="415" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-test.png 415w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-test-300x288.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px" /></p>
<p>The test was carried out with the <em>AI Benchmark</em> app which is available on the Play Store and has over 10,000 installs. According to the info on the site, there are 9 computer vision AI tasks which are performed by 9 separate neural networks on your smartphone. The tasks include object recognition/classification, face recognition, image deblurring, image super-resolution, memory limits etc. You can read about them <a href="http://ai-benchmark.com/tests.html">here</a>.</p>
<p>The current ranking on the site says the Qualcomm 8150 Dev Platform is currently the best at AI tasks with an AI score of 22,082. Next comes another unreleased chipset, the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek">MediaTek</a> P80 Dev Platform which has an AI score of 19,453 points. This is the second time we are hearing of the Helio P80, the first time it was mentioned was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/08/17/oppo-to-launch-helio-p80-p90-snapdragon-855-phones-reveals-leakster/">a few months ago by the serial leaker, Roland Quandt</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-223907" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores.png?x10805" alt="AI Scores" width="1616" height="666" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores.png 1616w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-300x124.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-768x317.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-1024x422.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-775x320.png 775w" sizes="(max-width: 1616px) 100vw, 1616px" /> <img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-223906" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-b.png?x10805" alt="AI Scores b" width="1615" height="493" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-b.png 1615w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-b-300x92.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-b-768x234.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AI-Scores-b-1024x313.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1615px) 100vw, 1615px" /></p>
<p>Closing the top three is the OnePlus 6 powered by the Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM  and an AI score of 12,274 points and the Kirin 980-powered Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-20-pro/">Mate 20 Pro</a> comes in at the fourth position with 12,026 points. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-20-x/">Mate 20 X</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-20/">Mate 20</a> grab the fifth and sixth spots while the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-p20-pro/">P20 Pro</a> which has a Kirin 970 SoC is 7th with 8921 points.</p>
<p>However, here are some unusual scores. For example, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel-3-xl/">Pixel 3XL</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel-3/">Pixel 3</a> are powered by the same Snapdragon 845 chipset as the OnePlus 6, but they are 15th and 16th on the list. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-8/">Mi 8</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/">Mi MIX 2S</a> which also have the same processor come next. There is also a OnePlus 6 with the same amount of RAM as the one at the third spot but is 19th on the ranking.</p>

<p>Based on these unusual scores, we&#8217;ll advise you take the results with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, the results do show that the new generation processors perform much better than their predecessors when it comes to AI-tasks.</p>
