Casio says that users can customize the silicone holder with their own decorations, though the company warns against using metallic straps that might tear the mounting holes.

Beyond the modular case, the BGD-10KG is a straightforward, reliable digital watch. It maintains the durability metrics expected from the Baby-G line, including a shock-resistant resin build and water resistance up to 100 meters, making it perfectly fine for swimming or daily wear.

Design Details

The 2100 series is well-known for its octagonal bezel, but this specific release strips back the usual busy dial designs that G-Shocks are often known for. For those who prefer a heavier watch, the GM-2100LXB models are priced at $260. Design and Build Quality

Casio has released a new variant of its long-running DW5600 G-Shock series in the US. The DW5600TT25-1 is a $150 collaboration with Japanese tire manufacturer Toyo Tires, applying automotive design cues to the standard digital watch platform.

Design Details

Instead of altering the underlying hardware, the collaboration focuses entirely on cosmetic changes. The watch uses a standard black resin case and band, but the strap is printed with a subtle texture that mimics the tread pattern of Toyo’s Proxes Sport R summer tire.

The dial is white with high-contrast black digital numerals and features the Toyo Tires logo alongside signature blue accents. When you press the button for the LED backlight, a custom Proxes “R” logo appears on the display. Casio is also including custom packaging for this release, shipping the watch in a blue presentation box and a metal tin printed with wheel graphics.

Underneath the co-branding, this is the exact same DW5600 that Casio has been selling for years. It measures 48.9 by 42.8 by 13.4 mm and weighs 52 grams, making it one of the more moderately sized G-Shocks available. The case and bezel are made from a mix of standard and bio-based resins, while the display is covered by mineral glass. It maintains the lineup’s standard shock-resistant construction and 200 meters of water resistance.

The feature set is standard for Casio’s digital modules. The watch includes a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, a multi-function alarm, and a fully automatic calendar.

It also features a flash alert system that synchronizes the white LED backlight with alarms and timer notifications, causing the light to blink when alerts are triggered. The watch is powered by a standard CR2016 battery, which Casio estimates will provide approximately five years of battery life.

Casio is releasing four new G-Shock watches in the US market as part of its new Bold Camo series. The collection originally launched earlier this month in Japan, which received a broader six-model lineup, but the US release is limited to four specific models. As a promotional add-on, Casio is currently including a free camouflage pouch with purchases.

Design Details

The main design update across the four watches is a green camouflage pattern printed onto the resin bands and bezels, which integrates a hidden G-mark logo into the design. Aside from the cosmetic changes, all four models retain the standard specifications expected from the G-Shock line, including physical shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance.

The entry point for the new US lineup is the DW-6900CMG-3, priced at $145. It uses the classic 6900 digital silhouette with a standard resin case and bezel. It features a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multi-function alarm, and an LED backlight, running on a CR2016 battery estimated to last five years.

Stepping up to $165 is the GA-700CMG-3A, an analog-digital hybrid. It features a larger 57.5mm case and incorporates gold-colored vapor deposition on the dial and hands. It includes world time functionality across 31 time zones and a hand-shift feature to temporarily move the analog hands away from the digital display.

The GA-V01CMG-3A costs $210 and is also an analog-digital model, but its primary hardware difference is a much longer battery life. It uses a CR2025 battery rated for approximately 10 years of use. It also features a double LED light system to separately illuminate both the analog face and the digital readout.

The most expensive model in the lineup is the GM-6900CMG-3 at $280. It shares the exact same digital functionality and five-year battery life as the DW-6900, but it replaces the standard resin bezel with a stainless steel one. The metal bezel is finished with multiple polishing techniques, coated with a gold-colored ion plating, and uses partial laser etching to apply the camouflage pattern directly onto the metal.

All four watches are available to purchase now through Casio’s website and standard retail channels.

Casio has released its latest fitness-oriented digital watches, the G-Shock G-Lide GBX-H5600 series, in the US market. Following an initial launch in Japan earlier this spring, the new models are now available for $330. The GBX-H5600 integrates modern health tracking hardware, including an optical heart rate monitor, into the familiar square G-Shock profile, specifically targeting surfers and outdoor users.

Design Details

The lineup debuts with two models: the black GBX-H5600-1 and the blue GBX-H5600-2. Both feature a translucent bezel and a solid band made from bio-based resin. Casio has managed to reduce the weight of these watches to 47 grams, making them roughly 12 grams lighter than the older DW-H5600 models. This weight reduction is primarily due to a new case back constructed from carbon fiber-reinforced resin.

For the display, Casio is using a high-resolution Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) LCD. MIP panels are standard for outdoor sports watches because they remain highly legible in direct sunlight, which is a necessary practical feature for a device intended for the beach.

Power management relies on a hybrid system of USB and solar-assisted charging. If you leave the heart rate monitor running continuously during activities, the battery lasts a maximum of 35 hours. If you turn off the heart rate tracking and use it as a standard digital watch, a single charge lasts about a month. The power-saving mode extends that standby time to roughly 11 months.
