<p>Hisense will be the first TV brand to launch models with Dolby Vision 2. Its premium RGB-MiniLED televisions powered by the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chip with MiraVision Pro PQ Engine will carry the technology. CANAL+, the French media and entertainment company, is the first broadcaster to confirm support, bringing Dolby Vision 2 to its movies, series, and live sports.</p>

<p>Dolby Vision has been the standard for HDR picture quality for over ten years. Dolby Vision 2 builds on this by taking advantage of today’s brighter and more colorful TVs while giving creators more control over brightness, contrast, and color accuracy.</p>

<p>The new Dolby Image Engine works with a wide range of content including films, TV shows, weekly live sports, and games. Dolby has also introduced Content Intelligence, which uses AI and ambient light detection to automatically adjust picture output for the viewing environment.</p>

<p>Content Intelligence includes:</p>

<ul><li><strong>Precision Black</strong> for clearer dark scenes without losing creative intent.</li><li><strong>Light Sense</strong> to fine-tune brightness and color using ambient light data and reference information from the content source.</li><li><strong>Sports and Gaming Optimization</strong> with motion control and white point adjustments for live sports and interactive content.</li></ul>

<p>Dolby Vision 2 adds bi-directional tone mapping, giving creators more flexibility to use the full brightness and color range of high-performance TVs. It also introduces Authentic Motion, a creative-driven motion control tool that reduces judder on a shot-by-shot basis for a more cinematic presentation.</p>

<p>Two product tiers will be offered. Dolby Vision 2 Max will provide the highest performance for flagship TVs with extra premium features, while Dolby Vision 2 will bring the core improvements to mainstream models. Availability details from Hisense and CANAL+ will be announced later.</p>

With this, the company has updated the laptop which was last refreshed a couple of years ago.</p>
<p>The new Apple MacBook Air comes powered by the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/07/apple-m2-chip-announced/">M2 chip</a> and continues to have a fanless design. Instead of the regular 13.3-inch display, the laptop comes with a new 13.6-inch display with up to 500 nits of brightness.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-464335 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple MacBook Air 2022" width="1960" height="1306" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022.jpg 1960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-1920x1279.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1960px) 100vw, 1960px" /></p>
<p>The screen is said to be 25 percent brighter than its predecessor and it comes with support for 1 billion colors. As for the design, the device looks quite similar to the 14-inch and 16-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-macbook-pro">MacBook Pro</a> models of last year.</p>
<p>Powered by the new M2 processor, Apple claims that the Final Cut Pro performance is nearly 40 percent faster than on the M1 Air and Photoshop is up to 20 percent faster.</p>
<p>There are two Thunderbolt ports on the left side, along with a headphone jack with support for high-impedance headphones. It also has added support for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/magsafe">MagSafe connector</a> for charging. However, it still misses out on some of the ports, such as HDMI and SD Card reader, among others.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-464336 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features.png?x10805" alt="Apple MacBook Air 2022 Features" width="3298" height="1814" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features.png 3298w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-300x165.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-1024x563.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-768x422.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-1536x845.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-2048x1126.png 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-696x383.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-1068x587.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-1920x1056.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Apple-MacBook-Air-2022-Features-764x420.png 764w" sizes="(max-width: 3298px) 100vw, 3298px" /></p>
<p>It also comes with an updated 1080p camera along with four speakers and three microphones. Apple said that there&#8217;s also support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dolby">Dolby</a> Atmos spatial audio. The Magic Keyboard now has<span style="font-family: Verdana, BlinkMacSystemFont, -apple-system, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif"> a full row of function keys with Touch ID and Force Touch trackpad.</span></p>
<p>The laptop measures just 11.3 millimeters thick and weighs 2.7 pounds (1.2 kilograms). As for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/battery">battery life</a>, the company is promising up to 18 hours of video playback and with an optional 67-watt power adapter it can charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.</p>
<p>The new Apple MacBook Air comes in four color options &#8212; Silver, Space Gray, Midnight, and Starlight. It will be available for purchase from next month with a starting price of $1,199.</p>

<p>Earlier today (28th April 2020), the General Manager of Xiaomi&#8217;s TV Department shared an image on his official Weibo account, a popular Chinese microblogging website. Looking at the image shared, it depicts a product named L65M5-OD, which has just received Dolby Vision certification. A few attentive Weibo users also pointed out that the TV also supports digital terrestrial wave DTMB, and the foundry is TPV Xiamen.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the &#8216;OD&#8217; in the model number may be a reference to an OLED panel. The list of specifications that we have listed so far all indicates a high end and expensive product from Xiaomi. Currently, Xiaomi&#8217;s smart TV shipments are ranked number 1 in the Chinese market and fifth in the global market. Unfortunately, finer details are unavailable at the moment, so stay tuned for more information that should arrive in the next few weeks.</p>

The highlight of the new TV model is its super thin form factor that sticks to the wall like a painting. True to its design, Xiaomi is also offering a bunch of artworks in 22 genres and from 45 artists to be showcased on its new TV.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck5fp3ldj21o00u0qv6.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-249256" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck5fp3ldj21o00u0qv6.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mural TV 01" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck5fp3ldj21o00u0qv6.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck5fp3ldj21o00u0qv6-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The Xiaomi Mi Mural TV has an overall thickness of just 13.9mm with a flat back design. This helps it stay flush to the wall, like a wall painting. Clearly, Xiaomi is looking to attract people who are fans of Samsung&#8217;s Frame and LG&#8217;s Wallpaper TVs.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck247bcvj21o00u0kjl.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-249255" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck247bcvj21o00u0kjl.jpg?x10805" alt=" Mi Mural TV thickness" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck247bcvj21o00u0kjl.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck247bcvj21o00u0kjl-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Xiaomi managed to achieve this design by incorporating its power supply in the lower host. So, the speakers, motherboard, and even the power supply unit is integrated in the host at the bottom. The TV just houses a 65-inch custom Samsung 4K screen, which ensures its super thin form factor. Further, the frame gets a hint of blue enhancing the overall aesthetics.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck8wbsndj21o00u04qq.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-249257" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck8wbsndj21o00u04qq.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mural TV MiPort line" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck8wbsndj21o00u04qq.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2ck8wbsndj21o00u04qq-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The screen and the host are connected by a new MiPort line developed by the company. Xiaomi reports that this one line houses 30 cables inside, including its high-power supply and high-resolution video signal wire. If you are looking for specific figures, then note that this MiPort line supports 18Gbps HD signal transmission and 400W high power supply.</p>

<p>The host features an Amlogic quad-core 65-bit processor clocked at 1.8GHz with Mali-T830MP2 GPU. There&#8217;s 2GB +32GB of memory on board. It supports 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3x HDMI ports and 2 x USB ports. It also features a six-channel Soundbar and subwoofer that support <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/dolby">Dobly</a> and DTS-HD dual decoding.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2cknce815j21o00u0u0x.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-249253" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2cknce815j21o00u0u0x.jpg?x10805" alt=" Mi Mural TV 02" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2cknce815j21o00u0u0x.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/afe09d9dly1g2cknce815j21o00u0u0x-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Apart from showing off classic works of art on the TV, you can even showcase your family portraits, photographs, etc as a slideshow. It&#8217;s similar to what we have seen on LG and Samsung&#8217;s slideshow mode.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-249249" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471.jpg?x10805" alt=" Mi Mural TV Smart Home features" width="1024" height="512" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/9dc4ccd43c3b4f79afed54e887872471-840x420.jpg 840w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></p>
<p>This <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/mi-tv">Mi TV</a> is also in line with the company&#8217;s recent <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/aiot">AIOT</a> initiative and in this regard transforms into a smart home control center. So, you can remotely view and control all of your smart home connected devices on the large screen with ease. Further, the TV is basically a <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaoai">XiaoAI</a> assistant as well and comes with far-field voice recognition support. This enables almost all of the features of the XiaoAi assistant like asking questions, controlling smart home features etc, with just voice commands. Finally, Xiaomi has teamed up with Tencent Cloud for making and receiving video calls through the TV on its large screen.</p>

<p>The two models are identified by the model numbers HW-N950 and HW-N850. Both feature DTS:X and Dolby Atmos technology, with the first one providing 7.1.4 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dolby">Dolby</a> audio experience. It is equipped with a main soundbar, four secondary speakers, and two wireless surround speakers. But what does 7.1.4 means? Well, 7 stands for the number of traditional surround speakers, so front, center and surround, 1 is the number of subwoofers which can be connected to the receiver and 4 represents the Dolby Atmos settings.</p>
<p>The second soundbar by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> and Harman Kardon instead provides a 5.1.2 audio experience. The soundbars alongside their connected speakers will be officially launched in the market starting from August 20, but we still do not know how much they will cost.</p>
