Honor’s recently released Honor Pad X9 tablet is set to come with a new variant in India. The Pad X9, which was previously introduced, will now be available with an upgraded 8 GB RAM version alongside the original 4GB+128GB model. This mirrors a similar move by iQOO, which recently unveiled a 16GB+1TB variant of iQOO Pad2 Pro.

The upcoming variant of Honor Pad X9 was revealed through new images on the Amazon India page. In today’s market, an Android device should ideally come with a minimum of 8GB RAM to ensure a smooth user experience. The new 8GB RAM variant of Honor Pad X9 will be working much smoother than the 4GB RAM variant. Additionally, Honor is promoting that the new tablet will feature 5GB of expandable RAM.

Currently, the 4GB RAM variant of Honor Pad X9 is available on Amazon India for a price tag of INR 14,999. The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 685 processor and boasts an 11.5-inch 2K 120 Hz display with a maximum brightness of 400 nits. It also features a 7250 mAh battery, making it actually powerful enough for everyday simple tasks. The new 8GB RAM variant further enhances the Pad X9 as a highly reasonable option. Honor recently launched the Honor Pad X9 in the UK and India. The affordable tablet seems to be headed to Singapore next as it has been spotted on the IMDA certification website.

The Honor Pad X9 has emerged on the IMDA certification website with the model number ELN-L09. The certification does not give out much information other than the fact that the Pad X9 will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. That being said, the certification has all but confirmed an imminent Singapore launch. Let’s take a look at the specifications of the device.

Honor is expected to make a re-entry in India as per recent reports. Although no smartphones, the company has been actively launching laptops and tablets in the country. Now, Honor has launched a new tablet called the Honor Pad X9. It arrives with significant upgrades as the successor to the Honor Pad X8 that was announced last month. Honor’s newest tablet competes against the likes of Realme Pad 2, OPPO Pad Air, and more in the market.

The Honor Pad X8 comes with an 11.5-inch display surrounded by symmetrical bezels on all sides. It offers a 2K resolution, 400 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. For audiophiles, the tablet is equipped with six speakers with Hi-Res audio certification.

The tablet is designed to meet multimedia requirements on a budget as it offers a vibrant 11.5” FHD+ IPS LCD with 100% sRGB coverage. Now, it looks like the brand is preparing to launch a dedicated keyboard for the tablet as indicated by a recently spotted TDRA certification.

July seems to be a busy month for Honor. The company just announced the Honor 90 in Europe and is gearing up to launch its latest foldable in China on July 12 alongside several other products. The brand has also introduced a new tablet in the old continent today, called the Honor Pad X9. As the successor of the older Pad X8, the slate brings a large 11-inch display, a massive 7250mAh battery, and a six-speaker audio system. Here are the details.

Honor Pad X9 Specifications

Honor Pad X9 brings a design similar to the Pad X8 Pro launched in China yesterday. The device brings even bezels on the front, which also feature a selfie camera. The slate brings a 120Hz 11.5-inch FullView Display with support for a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 86%. The portable tablet has a thickness of only 6.9mm and weighs 495g.

Under the hood, the tablet gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC. The chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As mentioned, the Honor Pad X9 features six speakers, which deliver 360° sounds. The tablet is fueled by a 7250mAh battery, which might support 22.5W charging.
