<p>Intel continues to expand its product line. The latest addition to the company&#8217;s successful processors is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/09/30/intel-arc-a750-gpu-announced/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent Arc graphics card series.</a> Now, the company has launches the Arc A580. Priced at $179, this graphics card targets users seeking a cost-effective solution and a smooth gaming experience at 1080p with medium to high graphics settings. Here are the details&#8230;</p>

<h2><strong>Intel Launches Arc A580: A $179 Graphics Card for 1080p Gaming</strong></h2>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/intel/">Intel</a> has launches its Arc A580 graphics card, a budget-friendly gaming GPU for $179. The new Arc A580 is based on Intel&#8217;s top-tier ACM-G10 GPU, but it has a few features disabled in order to hit the lower price point. For example, it has 24 Xe-Cores instead of 32, and it doesn&#8217;t support Intel&#8217;s XeSS upscaling technology. However, it still supports ray tracing and has a number of other features that make it a good value for the price. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="678" height="381" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/intel-arc-a580-launches-specs-price.jpeg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-574205" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/intel-arc-a580-launches-specs-price.jpeg 678w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/intel-arc-a580-launches-specs-price-300x169.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 678px) 100vw, 678px" /></figure></div>

<p>In terms of performance, the Arc A580 is comparable to the AMD Radeon RX 6600 and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. It can handle most popular games at 1080p with high settings, and it can even play some games at 1440p with medium settings. Here are some of the key features of the Intel Arc A580:</p>

<ul><li>24 Xe-Cores</li><li>8GB GDDR6 memory</li><li>185W board power</li><li>Supports ray tracing</li><li>Supports Intel Deep Link</li><li>Supports Intel XeSS</li></ul>

Now, the company has announced Intel Arc A750 GPU.</p>
<p>The new Intel Arc A750 GPU is targeting the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nvidia">NVIDIA</a> GeForce RTX 3060, and based on the benchmarking tests, Intel claims that these new GPUs offer more value-for-money goodness compared to the RTX 3060.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-488451 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750.jpeg?x10805" alt="Intel Arc A750 GPU" width="1280" height="720" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750.jpeg 1280w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Intel-Arc-A750-747x420.jpeg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>As for the specifications, the Arc A750 comes with 28 Xe cores, 28 ray-tracing units, a 2,050MHz graphics clock, along with 8GB of memory and up to 512 Gb/s of memory bandwidth, having a 225W of total power.</p>
<p>Intel had said that the Arc A770, which was announced a few days back, offers 42 percent better performance per dollar compared to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060">RTX 3060</a>, while the A750 is touted to offer 53 percent better performance on a per-dollar basis.</p>
<p>Although the company is praising its own GPUs for being better than what the competition is offering, we will have to wait for the actual reviews to know for sure where they stand. It is not yet known which card <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/manufacturer">manufacturers</a>, apart from Intel itself, will build these new Arc graphics processors.</p>
<p>Intel Arc A750 starts at $289, while the two other GPUs from the company, A770 and A770 Limited Edition, start at $329 and $349, respectively. All three graphics <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/processor">processors</a> will start shipping from mid-October.</p>

In the short video, we can see the graphics card in all of its glory. Furthermore, the fans on the GPU clearly feature &#8220;Intel&#8221; branding. Looking at the video, we can also see some other aspects of the GPU as well. The Arc GPU that will reportedly feature 512 EUs will feature three DisplayPort 2.0s along with a single HDMI port and sports a dual slot and dual fan design.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-441921 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/csm_FKwrfTEaQAERwJ8_27dea509ec.jpg?x10805" alt="Intel" width="738" height="415" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/csm_FKwrfTEaQAERwJ8_27dea509ec.jpg 738w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/csm_FKwrfTEaQAERwJ8_27dea509ec-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/csm_FKwrfTEaQAERwJ8_27dea509ec-696x391.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px" /></p>
<p>Apart from this short video, the Intel Arc series GPU was also spotted on a new picture as well. This image was shared by another Twitter user <a class="external-link-new-window" href="https://twitter.com/SquashBionic/status/1489613397410811906/photo/1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Bionic Squash</a> and showcases the graphics card&#8217;s PCB. On closer inspection, the PCB has eight GDDR6 memory modules and 10 VRM phases. In other words, these specifications hints that the upcoming graphics card will be one of the higher end card. Separate reports have hinted at the card being a competitor of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/geforce-rtx-3070-ti/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti</a>, although, that is unconfirmed at the moment.</p>

GPU prices sky rocket as there is barely any supply. But there might still be hope since <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/intel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Intel</a> is looking to enter the GPU segment as well.</p>
<p>For those unaware, the American chipmaking giant is working on its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/05/intel-arc-alchemist-gpu-launch-late-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">own graphics cards</a>, despite being known for its popular CPUs. These upcoming GPUs will be a part of its Arc series and are set to launch soon. With the PC market suffering from shortages of GPUs due to the pandemic and various other factors, many have been waiting for Intel&#8217;s Arc release, hoping that it would alleviate some of the supply constraints. And now, an executive from the company has offered some additional reassurances as well.</p>

A new report has suggested that the new graphics card may not be launched until the second quarter of next year.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Intel Arc Pictures &amp; Release Date Leak" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Cr1tBFUjPBQ?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>According to a YouTube channel called Moore’s Law is Dead, team blue is referring to its laptop GPUs when it talked about the Q1 launch for its Xe HPG (high performance gaming) products. In other words, the Alchemist desktop graphics cards might not arrive until the second quarter. Apparently, the Alchemist laptop GPUs will also launch along with the Alder Lake mobile chips, which hints at capable gaming laptops launching next year, closely followed by the launch of the desktop GPUs soon after.</p>
<p>Although, the delay in release might also be related to the supply chain and other production issues. The YouTuber also shared some new images in the latest video, which showcased a mock up of what these new GPUs might look like. Keep in mind that these are still just renders and not the official model of the GPU itself from Intel. Although, these renders are based on new info from several sources, as per Moore’s Law is Dead.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-417157 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Screenshot-248-1.png?x10805" alt="Intel" width="768" height="430" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Screenshot-248-1.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Screenshot-248-1-300x168.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Screenshot-248-1-696x390.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Screenshot-248-1-750x420.png 750w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></p>
<p>Furthermore, the renders are based on early engineering sample shots that the leaker had already received in the past. Although, Moore’s Law is Dead did add that most current reference test boards look similar to this early on. So, we have no idea what the final model might look like for the commercial build.</p>

There is a whole lot of planning that goes on before finally deciding which process to follow. According to Intel Vice President Raja Koduri, &#8220;It is necessary to first determine the process that can be assumed at the start of design,&#8221; &#8220;Other features, such as how much operating frequency can be used are also important factors. Cost is also an issue. These three, that is, the cost-performance-capacity are taken into consideration when deciding which process to use. &#8221;</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_414177" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-414177" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-414177" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-1024x531.jpg?x10805" alt="intel-GPU-inline" width="696" height="361" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-1024x531.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-300x155.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-768x398.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-696x361.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-1068x553.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline-811x420.jpg 811w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/intel-GPU-inline.jpg 1432w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-414177" class="wp-caption-text">Source: Intel</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>Intel has stated that Alchemist found the best equilibrium on the N6 node of TSMC. Also taking into account Intel&#8217;s delay in the process and competitive environment with big players like <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/amd/">AMD</a> and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/nvidia/">NVIDIA</a> around, building a new product on a regular node could have easily impacted the performance potential of ARC GPU.</p>
<p>Supply issues have terribly impacted the semiconductor manufacturing industry for the past 18 months, with complex supply chains to blame. However, Intel had an edge here due to its vertical strategy and reliance on in-house designing and manufacturing. This gave Intel more flexibility to pre-plan its assembly lines and transition swiftly according to the market conditions.</p>
<p>There are other factors as well when it comes to GPUs. Being comparatively bigger when compared to CPUs, they require more transistors that result in fewer chips per wafer. Roughly, GPUs swell more than six times the die when competed against CPUs.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s, of course, a well-planned strategy to bite into the capacity of Intel&#8217;s rivals by reserving a big chunk of the N6 node for its own production. This will allow Intel to mass-produce ARC GPUs to feed the demand, while simultaneously ensuring that they remain a step ahead of the competition by occupying TSMC&#8217;s resources.</p>

The first generation product under this new series will be launched in Q1 2022.</p>
<p>The codename of the first upcoming Intel Arc graphics processor is Alchemist and will be based on the Intel Xe HPG microarchitecture, with performance rumored to be capable of taking aim at the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nvidia">Nvidia</a> GeForce RTX 3070.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-407147 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo.jpeg?x10805" alt="Intel Arc GPU Logo" width="800" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo.jpeg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Intel-Arc-Logo-747x420.jpeg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>The company has also announced that the Arc range will cover multiple generations of graphics hardware, with Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid listed as the codenames for future generations of Intel gaming GPUs.</p>
<p>Intel had previously launched DG1 — a card that was released only to system builders which performs a lot like the GDDR5 version of Nvidia&#8217;s GeForce GTX 1030.</p>
<p>Currently, there&#8217;s no information available about the specifications for the upcoming Intel Arc graphics card but the trailer from the company confirms that it will come with support for modern features like real-time ray tracing and &#8220;AI Accelerated Super Sampling&#8221; that will compete with Nvidia&#8217;s DLSS and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amd">AMD</a>&#8216;s FidelityFX upscaling technologies.</p>
<p>If the current <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/chip-shortage">shortage of graphics cards</a> extends to next year, then Intel has a unique opportunity of attracting gamers desperately trying to get their hands on anything in the GPU space that they can get their hands on.</p>
<p>As of now, we don&#8217;t have any information about the performance, pricing, or availability of any Arc cards yet but we should know more about the new Intel&#8217;s dedicated graphics cards before they go official early next year.</p>
