In late 2019, a lesser-known company called eBuyNow eCommerce Ltd. launched the Moto 360 (3rd Gen). For those unaware, this firm is currently the brand licensee of ‘Moto 360’. Almost two years later, this smartwatch finally gets a release in India.

The almost 2-year-old Moto 360 (3rd Gen) was listed on India’s Flipkart at the end of May. Over two months later, the smartwatch is at last available for purchase. It is priced at ₹19,990 ($270) and comes in three color options(Phantom Black, Steel Grey, Rose Gold).

The Moto 360 (3rd Gen) sports a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The casing is made of stainless steel with either PVD coating (Steel Grey, Rose Gold) or DLC coating (Phantom Black).

It is powered by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It runs Google Wear OS backed by a 355mAh battery, which takes about an hour to charge fully and is rated to last a day.

On the connectivity front, the wearable comes with Bluetooth 4.1, single-band WiFi, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO), and NFC. It is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 or higher (excluding Go Edition) and iOS 12.0 or higher.

It has all the essential sensors like an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, ambient light sensor, and a heart rate sensor. It also has a water resistance rating of 3ATM.

Last but not least, the Moto 360 (3rd Gen) ships with a leather strap, a silicone strap, and a charging cradle.

The Moto 360 was one of the earliest smartwatches. It launched in 2014 with a circular dial and was praised for its design though it did get flak for its infamous “flat tire” display. The following year, Motorola followed it up with a 2nd gen model and a sports model. Four years later, we are getting a third-gen Moto 360 but one not made by Motorola.

The new Moto 360 is made by a relatively unknown company called eBuyNow eCommerce Ltd and they are the new licensee for the Moto 360 name. While they have mainly stuck to the same design such as a circular dial and a stainless steel frame, there have also been some key changes.

The flat tire display is gone but you have a black bezel around the dial. There is also an extra button at 4 o’clock to keep the crown with its laser-engraved Motorola batwing logo at 2 o’clock company.

The Moto 360 has a 1.2-inch always-on “fully circular“ AMOLED display with a 390 x 390 resolution and 327 ppi. It is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and enclosed in brushed SUS316 stainless steel with PVD/DLC coating. With the ambient mode, you don’t have to tilt or press a button to check the time.

There is a Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip inside the watch along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The watch runs WearOS and connects via Bluetooth 4.2. It also has WiFi, NFC, GPS, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a barometer. The product page also mentions it is 3ATM water-resistant.

The new Moto 360 has a 335mAh battery with support for Quick Charge which allows you to charge the watch from empty to full in 60 minutes. It has a Battery Saver Mode that will automatically activate when the battery level is critical. In this mode, the watch will continue to show the time for up to 3 days.

The watch uses a 20mm strap and it will ship with leather and silicon straps, so you can swap when you want to take it for a swim. The watch is available in three colors – Steel Gray, Rose Gold, and Phantom Black. It will be available for pre-order in the US, Canada, and the UK mid-November and will go on sale in December for $350/£340.

During IFA, ASUS launched the 3rd generation Zenwatch. The new watch is a big change from the previous models as it uses a circular display instead of square/rectangle like its predecessors. But it seems ASUS wasn’t the only company that thought square face watches were cool back then as leaked images from an unknown source shows a Motorola Smartwatch with a square display. The watch is most likely a prototype unit from the early days that was shelved in favour of t he better looking round face Moto 360.

The smartwatch which has the words ”Motorola Confidential Property” written boldly on the top bezel features a USB port at the back and a power button on the left side. The Moto 360 uses a Qi charging dock and has a dial in place of the power button. Since there is a rubber flap covering the port, it is possible the watch is waterproof.

The company was expected to launch a new version of the Moto 360 watch at IFA Berlin, but that didn’t happen. We still have more than 3 months before the year runs out, so we wouldn’t rule out a Moto 360 3rd Gen. The watch might launch just in time for the holidays.

Lenovo had announced that there will be a new Motorola conference in Shanghai on September 8. Naturally, there were speculations that the company might release the new Moto 360 II watch at the event in Shanghai. Now the rumors are almost confirmed. Earlier today, Lenovo released a new teaser via Weibo with the tag line “It’s time”. Below these words  lies the image of a new Moto smartwatches which is none other than the Moto 360 II. In fact, the image confirms the earlier leaks which showed that the physical button has been moved to the 2 o’clock position.

We also know a bit about the variants of the new Moto 360 II smartwatch. It is said that the watch will come in two versions, the 360S and the 360L. The former will feature a 1.37-inch display equipped with 270mAh battery with a dial size of 38mm and strap size of 20mm, while the latter Moto 360L will feature a slightly larger 1.55-inch display with a 375mAh battery, 46mm dial and a 22mm strap. It is also said that the watch will come with Chinese interface for the domestic market.

According to Upleaks, there’s even a Sport Version in the works. The sport version will come with a hybrid display ideal for outdoor use, with other features such as 3ATM Water Resistance, GPS, and Barometer. While the 360L and 360S are expected to be released in September, the Moto 360 II Sport will reportedly debut in November.

We all loved the first generation Moto 360 smartwatch, particularly because it was one of the first round smartwatches in the market. But ever since the companies understood that a round watch is much more popular than a square one, we have seen a shift in the market. According to the latest information, the new round Moto 360 smartwatch will come in two sizes. Motorola is also expected to reveal different colored version of the watch. Apart from the new color and size options, there’s hardly any drastic design changes. The only major one was shifting the physical button to the 2 o’clock position.

As for the other specs, the new Moto 360 watch is said to feature Snapdragon 410/ 412 processor with 512MB RAM and 4Gb of internal storage.

The second gen Moto 360 smartwatch is expected to be showcased at IFA Berlin next month. So, lets wait till then for more details on the new watch from Motorola.

When speaking of smartwatch, everybody will think of the the first round Android Wear smartwatch MOTO 360. But now the first round  smartwatch in China is inWatch π.  With its traditional design of wrist watch, inWatch π is also the first smartwatch which will extend its battery lifetime to six months.

It was planned to ship its products on today (September 30^th), but its producer Yingqu Technology published an apology yesterday, said that new products have to delay its shipment till on October 10^th because of the client issue. Motorola Mobility finally plans to bring Moto 360 to markets with smartphone duos and a bluetooth device.

After teasing at Google developers conference, the smartwatch will debut  at an event held in Chicago on September 4.  In addition, it is also said that G and X smartphone make their presence, it is likely to be sequels of Moto X and Moto G . With these 3 in bag  a Bluetooth headset also opens it’s curtain in the event.

The Moto 360 was announced on March 18. The smartwatch rumored to have a metal body. Moto 360 is a circular android wearable first of it’s kind.

The Moto X+1 is said  to be the company’s next flagship. It may have a  Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 as SOC along with 2GB of RAM. It features a 12MP camera and 2,900MAH battery. It also features a 4G LTE support.

Moto G2,  it is rumored to be a dual-SIM device with a 5″ display of 720p resolution,  a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU,  1GB of RAM, plus an 8MP rear camera. The major  upgrade from it’s precedent  is the screen size.
