The manufacturer has announced that it will unveil a new device on the 3rd of December in Brazil, and based on the teaser poster, we know the launch is for the Motorola One Hyper.

The Motorola One Hyper will be the first phone from the manufacturer with a pop-up selfie camera. Live photos and specs of the device leaked last month and they revealed the phone will have a 32MP pop-up selfie camera that slides out from the top right corner while the rear will house 64MP + 8MP dual camera sensors.

The phone is said to support 4K video recording at 30fps, 1080p slow-motion recording at 120fps, and HD slow-motion recording at 240fps.

The rest of the specs are a 6.39-inch LCD FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 675 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It will also have NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and an audio jack. The leak also revealed it has a 3600mAh battery with support for 15W TurboCharge and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

The poster says the event will begin at 9:30 am local time but there is no info about the venue.

This may not be the last Motorola phone to launch this year as the Moto G8 has still not been announced.

More details added.]

The Motorola One Vision was announced today at an event in Brazil. The new mid-range device packs some pretty interesting features but its price tag (in Brazil) is on the high side.

The Motorola One Vision’s stand-out feature is its display. It has a 6.3” FHD+ (1080 x 2520) display with a 21:9 aspect ratio which means it is pretty tall. Motorola has named it CinemaVision (similar to Sony’s CinemaVision display) and unlike Sony’s own display, this one has a punch hole. A pretty big one at that. There is a bit of bezel at the bottom of the screen too but that is expected. With the CinemaVision display, you should enjoy the cinematographic experience it provides.

The phone is powered by the Exynos 9609, a 2.2GHz octa- processor that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A hybrid dual SIM slot will let you swap the second SIM for a MicroSD card (512GB max.).

Another selling point of the Motorola One Vision is its cameras. It has a 48MP f/1.7 Quad Pixel camera with OIS on the back and it is paired with a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. The camera has a feature called Night Vision for incredible shots at night similar to the Pixel’s own Night Sight. Other camera features are 8x digital zoom, Portrait mode, Cinemagraph mode, Best Photo, Instant Camera, and YouTube Live mode e.t.c.

The punch hole is home to a 25MP f/2.0 Quad Pixel selfie camera which also has 8x digital zoom, Cinemagraph mode, Auto HDR, a manual mode, portrait mode, and a YouTube Live mode. The phone is an Android One device, so you get Google Photos as the default gallery app and free backup of high-quality photos.

The Motorola One Vision runs Android 9 Pie and has Motorola-exclusive features (Moto Actions). Motorola says the phone will get updated to Android Q and Android R and will receive security updates for 3 years starting from its launch this month.

There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 3500mAh battery with support for TurboPower ultra-fast charge.

The phone is available in Sapphire Blue and Bronze with a double gradient layer, rounded edges, and 4D glass. The phone is priced at R$ 1,999 (~$500) and is available right away for purchase on the official Motorola Brazil site. That is pretty expensive no doubt but the high price is as a result of Brazil’s high tax. Included in the box are a protective case and stereo headphones.

The phone will be available in Mid-May in Europe with a price tag of €299 (~$335). It will be available in Saudi Arabia and Thailand tomorrow (May 16th) and in Asia, the Middle East, and Australia in the coming months.

Live images of the Moto G7 Power have surfaced online and they were taken at a store in Brazil. If the phone is already shipping to stores, that should mean an official launch is around the corner.

The images confirm the specs of the Moto G7 Power and also reveal the price of the phone. Although the price is for Brazil, it should give us an idea of how much it will cost when it arrives in other countries.

[envira-gallery id=”233086″]

The Moto G7 Power will come with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch at the top that houses the 8MP selfie camera and speaker. While an FHD+ display would be better, the lower resolution should mean less power consumption and longer battery life.

The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor. This is said to be the Snapdragon 632 mobile platform. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There will be other RAM and storage configurations available.

The back of the Moto G7 Power is home to a single 12MP sensor that is housed in a black circle along with an LED flash. There is a fingerprint scanner beneath the setup with a Motorola logo on top. The back of the device appears to be covered in glass that reflects light. The variant in the live images is blue.

[envira-gallery id=”233087″]

The phone packs a massive 5,000mAh battery which should last a whole day and probably more. One shot of the phone shows a number of Motorola apps and Google’s own File Go and Photos apps.

The Moto G7 Power is priced at BRL 1,399 (~$370). That is pretty expensive when compared to the leaked European price of €209 (~$238). According to the source, the Moto G7 Power and its siblings should be announced on February 7.

Although the invite doesn’t explicitly say it is the Moto Z3 Play launching but since the first of the Moto Z2 series to launch last year was the Moto Z2 Play, it won’t be a surprise the Z3 Play is arriving first this year.

The poster shows the front of the device but does well to hide any key details. The event will likely begin at 9:30 AM Brazillian time judging from the time on the phone.

Leaked reports say the Moto Z3 Play will have a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Motorola has termed the new display style MaxVision. The phone will also get a more powerful chipset – the Snapdragon 636, so we expect a significant improvement in performance.

RAM is reported to be 4GB with 32GB and 64GB storage variants. Storage will be expandable thanks to a MicroSD card slot. Also, the Moto Z3 Play will retain its 3000mAh battery.

Another big upgrade is in the camera department. The Z3 Play gets an extra sensor on the back making it two 12MP sensors. The front camera is also reported to have been bumped up to 8MP. The fingerprint scanner is no longer in front and will now be on the right side of the phone.

One thing that has not changed is support for Moto Mods and this year, Motorola may sell the phone along with a Moto Mod. So if extra battery life is what you want, there is a power bundle, same for gamers (moto mod gamepad), and probably audiophiles too (Moto Speaker Mod).

The device scheduled to launch is unknown. Some say it is the Moto E4 and E4 Plus, others say it might be the Moto Z2. Brazil is an important market for Motorola, so it doesn’t matter if it is the Moto E4, E4 Plus or Moto Z2.

The E series used to be the cheapest Motorola phones until this year when Lenovo added the Moto C and Moto C Plus.

The Moto E4 will have a 5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage. It will have a Mediatek MT6737M SoC, a 2800mAh removable battery and run Android 7.1.1 out of the box. Some markets will even get models with NFC.

The Moto E4 Plus will sport a larger 5.5-inch screen, a MT6737 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Battery is still removable but has been nearly doubled to 5,000mAh.

The Moto Z2 on the other hand will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It will also launch with dual rear cameras and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.
