Nokia G11 Plus has launched in India. It is the company’s latest G-series phone. Prior to launch, the device was listed on the brand’s official website with full specifications. The smartphone had also debuted globally in June this year. The Nokia G11 Plus falls under the sub-Rs 13,000 price bracket and it competes against the likes of the Realme 9i, Vivo T1x, OPPO A17, and more in the market. A few months ago, HMD Global launched the budget-oriented Nokia G11 Plus in multiple global markets. Now, the brand has teased the device for the Indian market without specifying a launch date.

The company posted the teaser on its official Instagram account with the tagline “Say no to pop-ups”. The brand further elaborated in the caption, indicating that their device won’t come with any bloatware, ads, etc., which are usually seen on budget-range smartphones. This could be a plus point for the brand if it manages to deliver a clean software experience at this price range. Let’s take a look at the hardware of the smartphone.

As the device is already available in other markets, we know about all of its specifications. It features a 90Hz refresh rate LCD display that measures 6.5 inches and has an HD+ resolution. The display panel has a waterdrop notch and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.

A few months ago, HMD Global had launched its budget Android smartphone in the market, dubbed Nokia G11 and the company managed to sell millions of units of the device.

Now, the company has announced its successor — Nokia G11 Plus. Although the name has a “Plus” suffix, looking at the phone’s specifications, it isn’t really an upgrade compared to the original model.

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display that offers a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. As of now, the company has not revealed which processor is powering the device but it’s likely to be a 1.6GHz octa-core Unisoc T606 SoC.

It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that supports storage expansion up to 512GB.

In the camera department, the phone has a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. On the front side, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The Nokia G11 Plus runs the Android 12 operating system out of the box and the company has confirmed that the device will be receiving OS upgrades for two years and security updates for three years. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

The phone comes in two color options — Charcoal Grey and Lake Blue. Currently, the company has not revealed the pricing details but we expect it to be priced at around $150 and will soon be available for purchase in select regions.

Bluetooth certification confirms the Nokia G11 Plus, launch may be imminent

A new Nokia smartphone may be launched soon, going by the Bluetooth certification recently seen. The Nokia G11 Plus smartphone has gotten its Bluetooth certification which points to an imminent launch of the device. The Nokia G11 Plus has been the subject of a few leaks recently as it is making its way onto the market.

The Nokia G11 Plus is rumored to come with up to four variants (TA-1408, TA-1413, TA-1421, and TA-1429). The Bluetooth certification indicates that the Nokia G11 Plus will be powered by a Unisoc chipset. It is noted that products that have not completed the Bluetooth Qualification Process will not appear in public search results. The Bluetooth certification adds to a previous United States’ FCC certification for the G11 Plus (TA-1413). A 50MP main camera will be part of the G11 Plus, as per the FCC certification.

Although there are no specifics from Nokia at this time, it is speculated that several smartphones are slated for unveiling. The lineup includes the G11 Plus, the Nokia XR21 5G, and several other X and G series smartphones. These products could be unveiled anytime soon within the second half of this year. A few months back, Nokia launched the Nokia G11 and now it seems that the company will soon unveil the “Plus” version of the same phone. As per a report, Nokia G11 Plus has been spotted on the Geekbench database, which reveals some key specifications of the smartphone and hints at an imminent launch. The listing indicates that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Unisoc processor. The Nokia handset is also listed to run on Android 12 out of the box.

As initially spotted by the folks at MySmartPrice, Nokia G11 Plus has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking site. Interestingly, the listing does not reveal the model number of the smartphone, however, it confirms the moniker “Nokia G11 Plus”.

The listing shows that the Nokia G11 Plus uses an octa-core Unisoc processor similar to the rest of the G-series smartphones. It also reveals that the octa-core processor is clocked at 1.61GHz.
