Releasing so many cellphones is something to be expected from Lenovo. In China’s 4G Age, it’s no different. Soon, in partnership with China Unicom, they will release a dual-4G LTE cellphone that supports TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, and WCDMA/GSM networks.

Under the model number Lenovo A936, this new phone has already been listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s website. The phone’s design is neat and clean. It is mainly white but also has a silver frame. Its measurements are 163.9 x 83.6 x 8.7mm.  

The Lenovo A936 sports a 6-inch IPS screen with HD resolution. It has the biggest screen out of Lenovo’s 4G phones since the Z2 Pro. Its processor is a 1.7GHz octa-core chipset which is most likely the MT6592. It also has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM and sports a 5mp/13mp dual-camera. Its operating system is the Android 4.44. It also supports WCDMA, TD-LTE, and GSM networks.

After the success of  Mogu M7, Mogu recently announced that they would release the next cellphone in their M series which they brand as the “Folks’ Phones.” They named the phone as Mogu M8 and it will have a more stunning design and stronger specifications.

According to Mogu, the M8 will be powered with a 2GHz Octa-core cpu from MTK,  which is clearly the MTK6592T. It will sport a 5.5-inch screen and 13mp Sony camera and have 2G RAM and 16G ROM. This phone will have a fingerprint sensor that people can use to unlock their phones. As for its appearance, it has a more upright design. It has red buttons. Its base is grainy.

Well the resolution of the screen hasn’t been released yet, is Mogu hiding something?

Today, 3g.cn posted two snapshots of Huawei’s newest flagship device, the Huawei Mate 7. As the photos show, the Mate 7 sports a design with a big screen and narrow frame. The front panel’s edges are very short. It looks like this phone should have a very high screen performance ratio. It seems to have a narrower frame than the recently-revealed MX5, probably measuring about 1mm.

Huawei’s logo is located below the screen which confirms that virtual buttons will be used. On the left side of the Mate 7’s 13mp camera is a single LED light. Below the camera is a fingerprint sensor.

As for the Mate 7’s other specs, it sports a 6-inch 1080p screen, uses an octa-core 1.8GHz processor, has 2GB RAM, and, other than the 13mp rear camera, has a 5mp front camera. Also, some reports say that a high-end version may be released with a 2K screen and 3GB RAM.

The company posted its first poster of the phone starting its advertising campaign. The company boasts that the OONE mobile phone is not just a cell phone but a “work of art!” It will have “high-end functions” and be made using “high-end materials” and an “exquisite design.” They sound really sure of themselves!

The photo faintly shows the OONE phone in one angle, and one can barely see three buttons on side, which should be the volume buttons and power switch. It has a flat middle frame with curvy sides. In addition, HDR was used for the mid-frame, probably meaning that that it could be made of strong non-plastic materials such as metal.

Earlier reports said that the OONE phone would be very slim and that it might run on a MT6595 octa-core chip with 2GHz main frequency as well as 2GB of ram. However, it’s almost been half a year, so nobody knows if this will still be the case. Nevertheless, this “work of art” is certainly worth waiting for.

It has been previously been reported that Meizu CEO, Huang Zhang, said that they will release 5 new products this year to compete with Xiaomi. Other than the MX4, no information has been released about the four other products. But according to reports, this will be the first time that Meizu will collaborate with MTK, and will release a new device that uses an MTK processor.

Sources reveal the model number of the MTK chip as MT6595, the first octa-core 4G LTE chip in the world, and that this chip has adopted the Quadcore A17+Quadcore A17 scheme. It also supports FDD/TDD LTE internet connection, as well as DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, and EDGE.

Does Meizu’s collaboration with MTK mean a new price range for their future products? Does this mean that their older products will be placed in more product lines, and that their prices will change? This could probably be the only way they can compete with Xiaomi.

It has been reported that the MX4 will be released in August before the Xiaomi 4, and that it will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. It will support 3GB RAM, have a 16mp camera, and run on the Flyme 4.0 system (This is definitely certain).

Will the selling price for the MX4 be 1999 RMB (about $320)? There lies the biggest mystery.

Samsung is already has their own chipset, their Samsung processor was named with Exynos brand. But it does not mean for Samsung not buying processors from other manufacturers. And according to the news, Samsung will use a proprietary MediaTek processor in 2014.

MediaTek processor that will be used by Samsung is a quad core and octa core processor. Cooperation between Samsung and MediaTek will begin in the second half of 2014.

And of course, the MediaTek processor will not be used by Samsung on his smartphone in the near future. In addition, the processor will not come on Galaxy S smartphone or Galaxy Note lineup. But the Samsung will use the MediaTek processor for smartphones aimed at middle and lower segments.
