OnePlus 11 was recently introduced, and many tech channels including Gizmochina have posted their reviews. While almost everyone is generally satisfied with the phone, its price has once again been the most criticized aspect. However, a new review has come from an unexpected source: Carl Pei. He reviewed the OnePlus 11 and called it ‘beautiful’ but lacking ‘any real identity’. Here are the details…

Carl Pei reviews the OnePlus 11, calls it ‘beautiful’ but has ‘no real identity’

For those who don’t know, Carl Pei is the co-founder of OnePlus, but he left the company a while ago and started a new company called Nothing. With a media-savvy and playful personality, Pei has recently started reviewing his rivals’ models on Nothing’s YouTube channel. After his first review of the iPhone 14 Pro, his next review surprised everyone with the release of a video reviewing the OnePlus 11. Pei conducts the review of the phone as an independent tech editor. He starts by acknowledging that he hasn’t used a OnePlus phone in a long time.

The CEO of Nothing then lists his likes and dislikes about the OnePlus 11. At one point, he touches on the production cost of the phone. According to his estimation, the production cost of one of the flagships, including the license for Hasselblad, is around $480. In this case, a profit of roughly $300 is made from each phone. It’s worth mentioning that the costs do not include logistics and other expense. You can watch the full review below.

As mentioned, Carl Pei and Nothing are the only ones who have posted reviews of the OnePlus 11. At Gizmochina, we have been covering technology for a long time, featuring almost every new piece of technology on our YouTube channel and website.
The latest OnePlus 11 is already official in China and is scheduled to make its global debut on February 7 alongside the OnePlus 11R and several other products. While we wait for the smartphone’s formal debut, a tipster has revealed its price for the Indian market. Here are the details.

Noted tipster Abhishek Yadav has claimed that OnePlus 11 will arrive in the Indian market with only two storage options. These are 8GB + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 256GB storage versions. Unlike China, there will be no 512GB storage option in India. Yadav says the higher-end 16GB variant of the smartphone would be priced at Rs 61,999.

The Indian pricing of its base model is yet to be known. To give you an idea, the 8GB + 256GB OnePlus 11 is available in China for 3,999 Yuan (roughly Rs 48,900). Alongside, the OnePlus 11, the company will also be introducing the OnePlus 11R, which is rumored to have a starting price between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000.

We know that OnePlus 11 will arrive with a 6.7-inch QHD+ E4 OLED LTPO 3.0 display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels. Being the brand’s trump card for 2023, the smartphone will pack the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 under the hood. The processor will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The handset will flaunt triple camera unit on the back, headlined by an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor. The main sensor is accompanied by a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto camera. The front houses a 16MP sensor for selfies. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging in Asia and 80W in the US.

The newest OnePlus flagship— OnePlus 11—is already available for purchase in China and is scheduled to launch globally on February 7 at the Cloud 11 launch event, which will take place in New Delhi, India. While we wait, the handset has bagged India’s BIS and Malaysia’s SIRIM certifications. Here are the details.

OnePlus 11 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Standard and Industrial Research Institute (SIRIM) Malaysia websites with model numbers CPH2447 and CPH2449, respectively. As spotted, the authorities have certified the smartphone but did not reveal any of its specifications.

Reports suggest the Chinese brand is also working on the OnePlus 11R. The handset is already said to be in production in India and is expected to launch sometime in April or May with an underclocked Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. You may check its detailed specifications (leaked) here.

As for the OnePlus 11, we already know all there is to know about it. It debuts with an iconic design featuring a circular camera module. The smartphone has a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED LTPO 3.0 display that produces a Quad HD+ resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In the rear camera department, there’s a 50MP primary camera with OIS, 48MP ultrawide unit, and a 32MP telephoto sensor. Fueled by a 5,000mAh battery, the handset supports 100W fast charging.

Dry specs can’t tell you everything about the smartphone.
OnePlus is a brand that started off strong with the enthusiast crowd in mind. However, in the past few years, the brand has become quite mediocre pumping out generic smartphones that lack any x-factor.

However, the launch of the OnePlus 11 is upon us, and the brand has promised that it will be returning to its past glory with this device. So let’s explore all that’s known so far about the OnePlus 10 Pro successor before its January 4 launch in China.

OnePlus 11 design

Design-wise not much has changed from the last generation. The OnePlus 11 has a curved back panel featuring the same triple camera + LED flash setup on the camera island that is fused to the edge of the device. However, the brand has opted to go with a round camera island this time around rather than a square one.

The front panel is flat on the OnePlus 11 as opposed to the curved display that has been the staple of a OnePlus flagship for multiple generations now. The bezels on the device are super slim, and the alert slider is present on the right edge along with the power button. The top left of the display features a small punch-hole for the front camera.

OnePlus 11 specs

Coming down to the specifications, the display is said to be a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED screen with a 2K (3216 x 1440 pixel) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The choice of an E4 AMOLED rather than more cutting-edge options could be an indication that the brand is trying lower the cost of the device.

Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip powering the device. The chipset will include the Adreno 740 GPU, which has demonstrated significant improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips that powered the OnePlus 10 Pro. To further bump up the gaming performance, OnePlus has confirmed that it will be integrating the device with its self-developed Super Graphics Engine, which allows for high frame rates and native image quality.

This is made possible with the aid of a specialized rendering processor, software algorithms, game development engines, and other software and hardware synergies. According to the company, the phone would give up to 120fps with the optimization, regardless of the frame rate that the original game supports. The OnePlus 11 is said to retain an average frame rate of 119.8 FPS and a maximum temperature of no more than 43° C after an hour of League of Legends Mobile play.

The OnePlus flagship will include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There will be three different models available: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB. The smartphone will have a 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging capacity. It will come with a charging brick and a protective case included in the box.

Hasselblad has made modifications to the OnePlus 11’s triple rear camera setup. The main camera on the OnePlus flagship will be a 50MP shooter with a Sony IMX890 sensor. A 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32MP telephoto camera will be attached to it. Selfies and video calls may be taken with the device’s 16MP front camera.

The OnePlus 11 comes in two color options: green and black. It will weigh 205 grams and come with ColorOS 13.0, an Android 13-based operating system, pre-installed. The OnePlus 11 will boast Corning Gorilla Glass protection and IP54 certification. Last but not the least, it will utilize the AAC Technology-developed bionic vibration sensor motor. OnePlus claims that this will be the most powerful and largest vibration motor in an Android phone, with a volume greater than 600mm³.

OnePlus is scheduled to launch its next premium flagship smartphone—the OnePlus 11— in India next year in February. Alongside the standard model, the company may also unveil the OnePlus 10R. The former will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor while the latter may pack the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Before the handsets’ formal debut, a noted tipster revealed their price ranges. Here are the details.

OnePlus 11 has been the subject of various leaks and rumors recently and we have a good idea of its specifications. And today Yogesh Brar has also revealed the possible price range of the handset. The tipster says OnePlus 11’s price in India would be between Rs 55,000 and Rs 65,000. Notably, this is even lower than the OnePlus 10 Pro, which debuted in the country with a price tag of Rs 66,999.

Further, Brar claims that the OnePlus 11R will replace the OnePlus 10T with a price hike of Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. As is the case with most “R” branded phones, the OnePlus 11R will debut as the stripped-down version of the flagship number series models. The handset could be priced somewhere in the range of Rs 48,000 to Rs 52,000.

Previous reports reveal the vanilla model will arrive with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display that produces a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3216×1440 pixels resolution. It could arrive as the brand’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone, packing an Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage.

OnePlus 11R, on the other hand, could pack the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 5000mAh battery. The device is expected to have a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10+ support. It will likely have a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter.

OnePlus 11 has been in the news for quite some time now and today the brand finally confirmed the launch date of the new handset. The Chinese OEM today announced that its latest premium flagship smartphone will debut in India next year in February alongside Buds Pro 2 TWS earphones. Let’s have a look at all the details.

As per the recent tweet from the brand’s official Twitter handle, the OnePlus 11 and Buds Pro 2 are set to debut in India on February 7 at the OnePlus Cloud 11 Launch Event which will take place in New Delhi. It is possible that the new smartphone will launch first in China before heading overseas.

OnePlus teased the design of the upcoming OnePlus 11 through a teaser video last week. The teaser confirms the handset will have a circular camera module with the Hasselblad logo in the middle. The design is similar to what we have seen in leaked renders shared by OnLeaks. While the teaser shows the smartphone in black, at least one other color option is expected.

The handset is confirmed to arrive with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The processor may be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. OnePlus 11 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel with a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support.

As mentioned, the brand will also launch new TWS earbuds, dubbed OnePlus Buds Pro 2. They are expected to feature a similar design as their predecessor. The earphones could feature dual audio drivers LHDC 4.0 codec, spatial audio, and active noise cancellation.

According to the post shared by the tipster, the engineering sample of the OnePlus 11 has the model number “PHB110”. This device features a 6.7-inch curved screen LTPO display with 3216×1440p resolution, a punch hole for the camera in the upper left corner, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. He also added that the middle frame of the device is made of metal and it will feature a three-stage alert slider.

The device will house the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will draw power from a 2500mAh dual-cell battery, making up a total 5,000mAh battery capacity. The device will offer support for 100W fast charging. As for optics, the device will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto snapper.

This leak reveals almost all the key features of the upcoming excluding the refresh rate of the display and the front camera resolution. We can expect the refresh rate of the device to cap out at 120Hz, and as for the front camera, it would be a surprise if the company opts for a different sensor than the Sony IMX 615 that’s currently on the OnePlus 10 Pro.
