The flagship killer came with a single SIM card slot, which could have been a deal breaker for many. Given that most smartphones come with at least or sometimes even <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2014/06/02/acer-liquid-e700-tri-sim/" target="_blank">three SIM card slots</a>, limiting to one SIM slot wasn&#8217;t a great idea.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-53514" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim.jpg?x44794" alt="oneplus 2 dual sim" width="550" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim.jpg 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim-100x75.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim-180x135.jpg 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-2-dual-sim-238x178.jpg 238w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></a></p>
<p>But it looks like the OnePlus 2 will feature dual SIM dual standby. The company CEO, Liu Zuohu confirmed on Weibo that the new flagship will support dual SIM card slots. Unfortunately, we still don&#8217;t know whether there will be a microSD card slot too. We will even be happy to see a 3 in 2 Micro SIM + Nano SIM/ MicroSD card slot. But we are not sure of that at the moment.</p>

<p>Almost all the other specs have been confirmed, except for the display size and resolution. The OnePlus 2 will come with Snapdragon 810 v2.1, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/15/oneplus-2-will-come-with-a-13mp-camera-with-laser-autofocus-samples-inside/" target="_blank">13MP rear camera with laser autofocus</a>, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor and a new designed body (<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/01/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-an-all-metal-body/" target="_blank">probably all metal</a>).</p>
<p>The company will unveil the flagship on July 28, but expect a few more info before the launch. In fact, at that time if someone told you that OnePlus was the name of a manufacturer, there was a very good chance that you would have laughed at the name. Now, fast forward 1 year and OnePlus is the name that represents true value for money.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-52842" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007.jpg?x44794" alt="oneplus-logo-007" width="640" height="480" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-100x75.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-180x135.jpg 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-logo-007-238x178.jpg 238w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>Before 2014, if you had to purchase a high end device (3GB RAM), you would have had to shell out no less than $500. This was a time when even Xiaomi was just opening up, expanding its lineup with cheaper and better models. And it was precisely at this point when OnePlus made the debut with its OnePlus One flagship. The specs represented a high-end flagship while the pricing was that of a mid-range. In every sense, the &#8220;One&#8221; was a flagship killer.</p>
<p>So, its no surprise that everyone is so fond of the company. All of us are excited to see what kind of features will be present on the new OnePlus Two flagship and the company has done a pretty good job of keeping us fans satisfied with timely teasers and updates.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-007.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-52840" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-007.png?x44794" alt="oneplus two 007" width="640" height="357" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-007.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-007-300x167.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>In fact, we already know a lot about the OnePlus Two flagship. Probably more than most other smartphones that haven&#8217;t been released. And since a majority of these info comes directly from the company, we can be sure that they will end up on the new generation flagship.</p>
<p>Anyways, since we already know a lot about the OnePlus Two, I thought it would be best to put them all together in one place. So, down below are the 10 important things we already know about the OnePlus Two flagship.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>1. CPU:</strong></span></p>
<p>OnePlus recently <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/17/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-snapdragon-810-v2-1-cpu/">confirmed that the new OnePlus flagship will come with Snapdragon 810 v2.1</a> (third generation) chipset. I am sure many would be disappointed with this decision, considering the overheating problem associated with the chip, but the company has promised that the new version of the chipset will be cooler than ever (probably a bit underclocked too, at least thats what we think). So, at this moment we are hoping that the promise is fulfilled.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2. RAM:</strong></span></p>
<p>Well, 3GB RAM was the flagship standard about a year back and OnePlus One had 3GB of RAM. Now, its time to take things to a whole new level with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The company has <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/07/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-come-with-4gb-lpddr4-ram/">confirmed that OnePlus Two will join the likes of limited smartphones to feature 4GB of internal RAM.</a></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>3. SIZE:</strong></span></p>
<p>We are not sure if we will see the same 5.5-inch 1080p display on the OnePlus Two, however, what we know is that the overall size of the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/10/oneplus-two-will-come-with-a-3300mah-battery-in-a-smaller-body/">handset will be smaller than the OnePlus One</a>. So, those who complained that the device couldn&#8217;t fit comfortably in their hands, now have something to cheer about.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>4. BATTERY:</strong></span></p>
<p>One of the important features of a smartphone these days, the battery is reportedly bigger on the new handset. The company confirms that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/10/oneplus-two-will-come-with-a-3300mah-battery-in-a-smaller-body/">OnePlus Two will come with a 3300mAh</a> greater than the 3100mAh capacity on the &#8216;One&#8217;.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>5. Fingerprint Sensor:</strong></span></p>
<p>One of the new features on the OnePlus Two will be the physical Fingerprint Sensor. The move isn&#8217;t surprising, given that all major flagships come with fingeprint recognition these days. The company also notes that this will be <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/29/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-fingerprint-id/">one of the fastest fingerprint sensors on a smartphone</a> (even faster than touch ID).</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>6. USB Type-C:</strong></span></p>
<p>Another welcome addition to the OnePlus Two is the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/23/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-a-usb-type-c-port/">new USB Type-C port</a>. The LeTV series came with these reversible and more powerful ports and its no surprise to see them end up on the next-gen flagship. However, we don&#8217;t know whether it will be USB 2.0, 3.0 or even 3.1 like the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/08/zuk-z1-will-be-one-of-the-first-smartphones-to-come-with-usb-type-c-3-0-port/">ZUK Z1</a>.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>7. ROM:</strong></span></p>
<p>Instead of the CyanogenMod ROM that came with the OnePlus One, the company will be debuting with the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/03/20/the-first-live-leak-of-oxygenos-on-oneplus-one/">OnePlus Two its own Oxygen OS</a> (HydrogenOS in China). This is a forked version of the AOSP ROM and is reportedly tailor made to work smoothly with Snapdragon v2.1.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>8. Three Different Versions For Different Regions:</strong></span></p>
<p>The company has confirmed three different versions of the OnePlus Two, each aimed at a specific region namely China, North America and Europe/ Asia. OnePlus has also confirmed the supported bands and they are as follow:</p>
<p><strong>US</strong></p>
<p>GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz</p>
<p>WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8</p>
<p>FDD-LTE: Bands:  1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17</p>
<p><strong>Europe </strong></p>
<p>GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz</p>
<p>WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/5/8</p>
<p>FDD-LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>9. Swappable Back Covers:</strong></span></p>
<p>OnePlus Two will come with at least five different swap covers which will be available at launch. We expect the popular ones like Bamboo and other wooden covers to be available for the new device.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>10. Price:</strong></span></p>
<p>Finally, OnePlus CEO has confirmed that the OnePlus Two will be priced below $450. While its still slightly higher than the original OnePlus One model, given the upgraded specs, if the price is indeed below $450, the phone still offers more value for money.</p>
<p>FYI, the invite system will be back for the OnePlus Two also. But the company has promised that it will be better than before.</p>
<p>As you can see, we know a lot about the upcoming OnePlus Two flagship. But there&#8217;s still a lot of question marks in areas like storage (whether expandable), camera, screen resolution and even build quality (which will most likely be metal!).</p>
<p>We expect more information directly from the company in the company before the official launch on July 27, so stay tuned.</p>

From these teasers, we know that the phone will significantly upgrade the design and the overall specs as compared to the previous generation, which brings us to an important question: <strong>Price! </strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-52212" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price.png?x44794" alt="oneplus two price" width="960" height="960" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price.png 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price-420x420.png 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price-640x640.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-price-681x681.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></a></p>
<p>While the company was not very clear about its pricing strategy for the new OnePlus Two flagship, late yesterday, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the flagship will be priced below $450. This definitely comes as good news for fans all around the world, as this could be the pricing for the high end version. Although its costlier than the previous generation, the new model will feature much better specs justifying the price.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-01.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-50884" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-01.jpg?x44794" alt="oneplus two 01" width="600" height="307" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-01.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-01-300x154.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Till now, the company has confirmed a number of features on the new flagship. First of all, the phone will be powered by the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/17/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-snapdragon-810-v2-1-cpu/">Snapdragon 810 v2.1</a> (third generation) chipset, which although, may not be the best chip around, its good if the company has somehow managed to fix the heating issues. There will be a <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/29/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-fingerprint-id/">fingerprint sensor on board</a>, a first for a OnePlus device. We also know that the phone will come with the new <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/23/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-a-usb-type-c-port/">USB Type-C port</a> as well as<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/01/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-an-all-metal-body/"> full metal body</a>.</p>
<p>There will reportedly be<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/02/higer-end-oneplus-two-version-spotted-on-geekbench-with-4gb-ram/"> two different versions of the device</a>. The high-end model will mostly likely come with a 2K 5.5-inch display and 4GB of RAM. On the other hand, the standard version will come with 1080p display and 3GB of RAM. Other common specs include 16MP rear camera, 5MP front facing one, Android 5.1 and 3300mAh battery.</p>
<p>Of course, some of these specs have not yet been confirmed by the company. But since the launch is very near, on July 28, we expect a few more confirmations pretty soon. Stay tuned to the website for more details.</p>

Just moments after three new models (A2001, A2003 &amp; A2005) were found on the <a href="https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=27274" target="_blank">Bluetooth SIG website</a>, the second model, namely A2003 hit GeekBench website, revealing a few details about the device in question.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-51925" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003.png?x44794" alt="oneplus two a2003" width="686" height="395" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003.png 686w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003-640x369.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/oneplus-two-a2003-681x392.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 686px) 100vw, 686px" /></a></p>
<p>The One A2003 came with <strong>octa-core Qualcomm processor</strong> (which is going to be Snapdragon 810) <strong>clocked at 1.55GHz</strong>. As you can see, the clock speed has been reduced to a great extent during this test, either because this is a prototype model or to avoid overheating issues. Even the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/05/13/xiaomi-mi-note-pro-overheating-problems-arise/">Snapdragon 810 v2.1 is being accused of overheating</a>, so OnePlus will have to be careful to avoid such issues in its new flagship. The company will most likely increase the clock speed to around 2.0GHz for the ideal performance.</p>
<p>Along with the chipset, the phone also comes with<strong> 4GB of RAM</strong> as opposed to the 3GB found on the A2001 handset. So, this one&#8217;s probably the higher-end OnePlus Two model. We still don&#8217;t know what to expect from the One A2005 model, but we hope to get more details pretty soon.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-50542" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.jpg?x44794" alt="oneplus two" width="574" height="491" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-300x257.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-491x420.jpg 491w" sizes="(max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px" /></a></p>
<p>As of now, we know that <strong>there will be <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/17/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-snapdragon-810-v2-1-cpu/">Snapdragon 810 v2.1</a> chipset inside OnePlus Two, along <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/07/01/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-an-all-metal-body/">with an all metal body</a>, USB Type-C port and </strong><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/29/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-fingerprint-id/"><strong>fingerprint recognition that&#8217;s reportedly faster than Touch ID</strong>.</a> The company is expected to reveal the<strong> handset on July 27</strong>, which is still three weeks away. So, until then, stay tuned for more details.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, you<strong> still need invites to purchase the devic</strong>e, but the company says its going to be in greater number this time.</p>

Its been more than a year since we saw the first flagship device from the company, and latest rumors indicate that we will get to see the handset sometime in July.</p>
<p>We already know that OnePlus Two will feature the new generation <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/17/oneplus-two-confirmed-to-feature-snapdragon-810-v2-1-cpu/">Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset under the hood</a>. Along with this octa-core chip, the company has also confirmed the presence of the new age, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/23/the-oneplus-two-will-feature-a-usb-type-c-port/">USB Type-C port</a>, the same one found on <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/09/letv-one-s1-review-bezel-less-le-superphone/">LeTV smartphones. </a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-51762" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.png?x44794" alt="oneplus two" width="780" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two.png 780w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-300x154.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-640x328.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/oneplus-two-681x349.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px" /></a></p>
<p>Now, the company has released a new teaser which reveals that the OnePlus Two will feature Fingerprint ID. Apparently, the sensor inside the &#8216;Two&#8217; will be faster than Apple&#8217;s Touch ID. We still don&#8217;t know whether this is possible due to a better sensor or some software tweak, but it will definitely speed up the process of unlocking your smartphone. The company aims to make fingerprint ID a core feature of the device, so it may not just be limited to unlocking the phone.</p>
<p>Interestingly, the two main smartphones that are going to launch today namely<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/16/meizu-might-release-the-mx5-flagship-the-same-day-as-huaweis-honor-7/"> the Meizu MX5 </a>and the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/28/huawei-honor-7-to-come-in-multiple-variants-with-different-designs/">Huawei Honor 7 </a>are both expected to come with fingerprint ID. It looks like mainstream smartphone manufacturers have finally decided to make fingerprint ID standard among flagship devices.</p>
<p>We will be covering both the launches which will start in a few hours. So, stay tuned for more updates.</p>

This contradicts previous reports which said that the<a title="OnePlus Two Flagship May Be Delayed" href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/04/07/oneplus-second-generation-flagship-may-be-delayed/"> OnePlus Two flagship could be potentially delayed to 2016</a>.</p>

<p>According to the report, OnePlus Two along with a budget friendly smartphone will be unveiled by the company around Q3 2014. Earlier, OnePlus CEO had hinted that the new flagship could see the light of the day by September and looks like this report supports this time frame.</p>
<p>However, this is the first time we are hearing about a cheaper One Plus device as all previous rumors suggested otherwise. In the early days of 2015, rumors said that the company could be focusing on a premium smartphone for launch alongside the OnePlus Two. But this report states otherwise.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/oneplus-camera-kym.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-39201" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/oneplus-camera-kym.jpg?x44794" alt="oneplus-camera-kym" width="940" height="633" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/oneplus-camera-kym.jpg 940w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/oneplus-camera-kym-300x202.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px" /></a></p>
<p>Also, OnePlus Two is said to bring a lot of new upgrades such as a 5.5-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 810 and 4GB RAM. However, with such hardware, its practically impossible to maintain the $380 price tag. So, the company may have to increase its base price this year.</p>
<p>Anyways, we are sure fans must be excited to hear that they will see two OnePlus smartphones this year, that too one within the reach of budget buyers. Given that the report is said to come from the OnePlus office, it may actually turn out to be true.</p>
<p>If this is the case, expect a lot more information about the two new handsets, pretty soon.</p>
<p>So, what do you think, will the new flagship be as successful as the OnePlus One?</p>
