After the amazing POCO F4 GT with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 inside, Xiaomi’s sub-brand launched a brand new duo of phones in the European market: the POCO F4 and the POCO X4 GT. They are two lower-end devices, but they can still be considered good flagship killers for gamers and power users thanks to high-end hardware departments. A lot of expert people will choose them because of their performance and they could become best-sellers due to their affordable prices. But which one is the best and which is the most suitable one for your actual needs? In order to answer this question, we decided to publish a comparison between the specifications of the POCO F4 and the POCO X4 GT.

Xiaomi POCO F4 vs Xiaomi POCO X4 GT

Design

Do you prefer having a more ergonomic device? If so, then you should go for the POCO F4 because it has a thinner and lighter design: it weighs 195 grams and is 7.7 mm thick. Further, it offers an important pro: it has the IP53 certification making it dust resistant and splash resistant. You might like the POCO X4 GT because it comes with a cleaner design, thanks to the camera module sporting the same color as the rest of the rear side. But it is thicker and heavier than its internal rival, so less ergonomic. Unfortunately, both these phones are made of polycarbonate and they are not built with premium materials. However, their displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 5, so they should be very resistant to scratches, even though we recommend leaving a screen protector applied to the front glass.

Display

The best display in this comparison belongs to the POCO F4. It is equipped with an amazing AMOLED panel sporting a diagonal of 6.67 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and Dolby Vision. It provides a great image quality with vibrant colors and deep blacks, and it is amazing even on streaming platforms. It even provides very high brightness with up to 1300 nits and the Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Even though it is an AMOLED panel, the fingerprint reader of the POCO F4 is not in-display but side-mounted, and there are stereo speakers for an improved audio experience. The display of the POCO X4 GT is great for gamers thanks to its 144 Hz refresh rate, but, unfortunately, it is an IPS LCD panel. The image quality is great thanks to the HDR10 certification and Dolby Vision, but it can not compete with AMOLED panels sporting the same specifications. Naturally, even in this case, the fingerprint scanner is side-mounted.

Specs & Software

The most advanced hardware setup belongs to the POCO X4 GT: it is fueled by the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 mobile platform paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Dimensity 8100 chipset built at 5 nm with a max frequency of 2.85 GHz (alongside its Max variant with improved AI performance) is the best Mediatek chipset after the Dimensity 9000 and the Dimensity 9000+, so it provides flagship-class performance. The POCO F4 is inferior because it is powered by the older Snapdragon 870 chipset built at 7 nm and running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz. In this case, the SoC is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Both handsets run Android 12 out of the box, customized by MIUI 13 in a special version for POCO devices.

Camera

There are no differences between the camera departments of these two phones, with the exception of a single element. On the rear side, you can find a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera, while frontally, there is a 20 MP selfie shooter. The difference between these two models is the presence of OIS on the POCO F4, which improves the photo quality thanks to better stabilization.

Battery

If you are looking for a phone with the longest battery life, then the POCO X4 GT is the best choice you can do. It is equipped with a 5080 mAh battery and thanks to this battery, even though it has an IPS display, it lasts more on a single charge. Also, note that its processor is more efficient because it is built at 5 nm. The 4500 mAh battery of the POCO F4 is still sufficient, but nothing special if compared to the X4 GT. Both the phones support 67W fast charging, but the F4 charges quicklier because it has a smaller battery.

Price

The starting price of the POCO F4 in the European market is €399/$419, while you need €299/$315 to purchase the X4 GT. The former looks more interesting due to its better display, but the latter comes with a bigger battery and a better processor.

POCO India has just shared a new teaser video on Twitter. The company has been active with recent launches of products in the country, and now, the latest teaser hints at the arrival of even more new devices.

Looking at this video, it isn’t clear as to which type of products the Chinese company aims on releasing in India. The caption just states “Coz the mad don’t care!” alongside a “#MadeOfMAD is coming soon”. So its unclear if the upcoming products are just smartphones or any other products. Although, based on recent launches and certifications, the brand has yet to launch the POCO X4 Pro, POCO F4 GT, POCO C4, the Pop Buds, and a POCO Smartwatch in India.

In other words, the teaser might be hinting at the arrival of the new POCO X4 Pro for the Indian market. This model was launched a few weeks ago in the global market, so it may launch in the region with the brand’s Pop Buds TWS earbuds as well. The reason we believe that the new product launch is related to the X4 Pro is due to the recent BIS certification listing.

For those unaware, the smartphone sports a 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. For photography, it offers a 108 megapixel triple rear camera module and a 16 megapixel punch hole selfie shooter. It is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack, which supports 67W fast charging as well. Keep in mind that this is still just speculation so take this report with a pinch of salt.

POCO X4 Pro 5G is the new best-buy of 2022 for the mid-range segment in the global market. But this year a lot of people started to notice that smartphones prices raised and in a lot of cases it is better to purchase a phone from the last year available with a more affordable price tag. A phone like the Realme GT Master Edition: currently, it is more affordable than POCO X4 Pro 5G, but it offers several better elements in its specs sheet. The POCO X4 Pro 5G adds the HDR10 certification for great image quality on streaming platforms (as well as stereo speakers for a better audio experience), while the Realme GT Master Edition adds an in-display fingerprint reader (it is side-mounted on the POCO device). The POCO X4 Pro 5G is supposed to provide a better image quality thanks to the HDR10 certification, but the Realme handset still comes with a great display and a lot of people won’t notice the difference.

Hardware/Software

If you are looking for the device with the highest performance, then you should go for the Realme GT Master Edition without thinking twice. The reason is simple: it has a better processor. We are talking about the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, one of the best midrange SoCs, running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. Unlike this device, the POCO X4 Pro 5G has expandable storage, but its Snapdragon 695 5G makes it less performing. Despite the POCO handset launched in February 2022, both the phones still run Android 11 out of the box. However, they will both be updated to Android 12. The Realme GT Master Edition already started to receive a stable update in the Indian market and it will come soon in the European market as well.

Camera

If we talk about the rear cameras, then POCO X4 Pro 5G wins the comparison thanks to a better 108 MP main sensor. It is able to capture a higher level of detail in a lot of scenarios if compared to the 64 MP main camera of its rival. The secondary cameras are the same: an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro shooter. When it comes to the front cameras, the Realme GT Master Edition is the king with its 32 MP snapper.

Battery

The biggest advantage of the POCO X4 Pro 5G is the presence of a bigger battery: with a capacity of 5000 mAh, it is able to last longer on a single charge. There are no important differences in terms of charging speeds because the charging technologies are similar.

The Realme 9 Pro has a more elegant and suggestive design. Its color variants are very attractive and it is a more compact phone than the POCO X4 Pro 5G. On the other hand, the Realme 9 Pro runs Android 12 out of the box, while the POCO X4 Pro 5G is still based on Android 11. Both the phones feature a micro SD slot to expand the internal storage, as well as a UFS 2.2 native storage.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is the winner of the camera comparison thanks to a better 108 MP main sensor capturing a higher level of detail in bright light conditions. The sensor is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. In both cases, the selfie camera is a 16 MP sensor, but the Realme 9 Pro provides a brighter f/2.1 focal aperture.

Battery

The batteries of these two phones come with the same, good 5000 mAh capacity, but the POCO X4 Pro 5G is supposed to last longer on a single charge because it has a more efficient AMOLED display. Further, it chargers quicker thanks to 67W fast charging.

After the Redmi Note 11 series, new low cost devices came up even under the POCO sub-brand. For the following comparison, we chose two models because of their similarities: the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the POCO X4 Pro 5G. While the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is almost a rebrand of the POCO X4 Pro, the 4G variant is a bit different and it makes sense because it allows saving some money to those people who do not need the 5G connectivity. Given that these two phones have a lot of identical specifications, this comparison will be mainly focused on the differences between these two models rather than on establishing which one is the best.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro vs Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro

Design

An important difference between these two phones is the design. The POCO X4 Pro 5G comes with a more original and aggressive design, targeted to young people, with flat borders like iPhones and a great texture on the rear side. The Redmi Note 11 Pro is definitely more elegant, more suitable for casual and normal users. Further, it is built with better materials, including a glass back and a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Both the phones feature the IP53 certification making them dust resistant and splash resistant, and they have exactly the same dimensions.

There is not any difference between the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the POCO X4 Pro 5G when it comes to the display. The most important difference between Redmi Note 11 Pro and POCO X4 Pro 5G is the hardware setup. The former has a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset built at 12 nm with a max frequency of 2.05 GHz, while the latter is powered by a Snapdragon 695 mobile platform built at 6 nm with a max frequency of 2.2 GHz. The Snapdragon 695 is faster and more efficient in terms of energy consumption. Further, it supports the 5G connectivity, while the Mediatek Helio G96 does not. Last but not least, the POCO X4 Pro 5G offers up to 256 GB of internal storage, while you can get only 128 GB with the Redmi Note 11 Pro. Both the phones still run Android 11 customized by MIUI 13, but they will be updated to Android 12 soon.

Camera

The Redmi Note 11 Pro and the POCO X4 Pro 5G are equipped with a 108 MP main camera coming with an f/1.9 focal aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera. The former adds a third secondary sensor that is a 2 MP depth sensor, but it is a pretty useless camera nowadays. The selfie cameras come with a 16 MP resolution and an f/2.4 aperture.

Battery

There are no differences when it comes to the batteries: POCO X4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro are equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and they support 67W fast charging. Despite having the same battery capacity, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is able to provide a longer battery life because its processor is more efficient as it is built at 6 nm.

The starting price of the POCO X4 Pro 5G is €299/$328, while you can find the Redmi Note 11 Pro for €269/$295. The Redmi Note 11 Pro actually comes with better build quality, but it is less interesting due to its inferior processor and no 5G connectivity. The POCO X4 Pro 5G provides 5G and a stronger chipset, as well as lower energy consumption.

POCO X4 Pro official renders have leaked. Last week, a tipster released the watermarked renders of the smartphone. At the same time, a German publication released the hands-on images (now removed) of the device. Now, well-known tipster Evan Blass has leaked the official renders of the X4 Pro.

POCO X4 Pro design, color variants

The POCO X4 Pro will be arriving in three colors such as POCO Yellow, Laser Blue, and Laser Black. As can be seen in the new images, the device features a large camera block with the POCO and 108MP branding on the right and an LED-flash assisted triple camera unit on the left. The rest of the back has an attractive pattern and a 5G logo towards the bottom.

The frontside of the POCO X4 Pro features a punch-hole display with minimal bezels. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Several reports have claimed that the X4 Pro will borrow all its specs from the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, which debuted in global markets in the recent past.

POCO X4 Pro 5G specifications (rumored)

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. The smartphone boots to MIUI 13 flavored Android 11. It has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel and a rear-facing triple camera unit headlined by a 108-megapixel snapper. The latter is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

The X4 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 695 mobile platform. It is expected to arrive with 6 GB and 8 GB RAM models. Both variants may offer 128 GB of built-in storage and a shared SIM slot for adding a microSD card. It may arrive with 33W fast charging support for its 5,000mAh battery.

The POCO X4 Pro will be presented along with the POCO M4 Pro 4G on Feb. 28 at the MWC 2022 tech trade show.

Renders of the POCO X4 Pro 5G were leaked a few days back showing it in Poco Yellow, Laser Blue, and Laser Black color options. While the Indian model of the device has been touted to feature a 64MP sensor for the primary rear camera, a tipster said that the global variant will come with a more pixel-dense 108MP sensor.

Upfront, it is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED DotDisplay that will house a 16MP selfie snapper.

Inside, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

Meanwhile, the POCO M4 Pro recently made a Geekbench appearance, scoring 526 and 1832 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Its chipset is expected to be the MediaTek Helio G96 that will be supported by 6GB of RAM.

Also, according to a previous leak, the POCO M4 Pro 4G could be a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 11S. The duo carries the same 2201117SI model number that originally refers to the Redmi Note 11S, so both will likely come with a very similar design too.

POCO X4 Pro 5G appears to arrive soon as the phone’s specs were leaked earlier and we also saw the hands-on images of the device, a day back. Now, PassionateGeekz has shared some official-looking renders of the smartphone.

The renders show all three color variants of the device. The phone has three color variants namely Poco Yellow, Laser Blue, and Laser Black. The device seems to have some white-colored pattern at the back. It has the 5G branding at the bottom and the POCO logo on the camera island.

It has an AI-powered triple camera system and the primary lens here is a 108MP shooter. Previous rumors suggest that it will be a Samsung HM2 sensor. Notably, this seems to be a global model as the tipster Yogesh Brar recently revealed that the global model will have a 108MP sensor, whereas, the Indian model will boast a 64MP primary lens.

Moving to the front, the phone has a punch-hole display with thin bezels. The smartphone is said to have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED DotDisplay. It will feature a 16MP selfie snapper and out of the three, there will be an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor.

Inside, it will be fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It is expected to have up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage and run on MIUI 13 based on the Android 11 OS. The phone is tipped to come with a 5,000mAh battery and 65W fast charging support.

Xiaomi’s POCO launched the M4 Pro this week in the budget segment. Now, the company is gearing up for the launch of a mid-range series dubbed the POCO X4 5G. Earlier today, we learned some specs of the POCO X4 Pro 5G, and now, SmartDroid has shared the hands-on images of the phone.

Unfortunately, the publication seems to have removed the images, however, the tipster Abhishek Yadav has managed to share the images online. As per the images, the Poco X4 Pro 5G has an entirely new design.

The phone replaces the circular rear camera module of the X3 Pro with a wide island that holds three cameras, an LED flash, and has the Poco branding. Interestingly, if we zoom in, we also get to see the “108MP” mentioned on the right-side. The publication reveals that is an HM2 primary sensor.

To recall, the existing Poco X3 Pro has a 48MP primary lens. Having a 108MP sensor on the X4 Pro will surely be a big upgrade, at least on paper. However, this is contrary to what the tipster Yogesh Brar revealed recently.

As per the tipster, the Poco X4 Pro 5G will feature a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.

The publication has all other specs in line with what the tipster revealed. The Poco X4 Pro 5G will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED DotDisplay. In the images, we get to see the punch-hole screen with thin bezels. Furthermore, the smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging support.

On the protective film, we can read that the device has dual speakers, NFC support, and has a Snapdragon 5G chipset. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device will boot on Android 11 OS and run on the MIUI 13.
