Realme has already updated the GT 2 Pro and vanilla GT 2 to stable Android 13-based Realme UI 3.0. The brand has now commenced the Open Beta testing for the Realme GT Neo 3T, which got the early access update last month.

Realme has announced the Realme GT Neo 3T Android 13 Open Beta program on the Realme Community Forum. At this time, only Indian users can access the Realme GT Neo 3T’s Android 13 Open Beta program. Users of the Realme GT Neo 3T running firmware version RMX3371 11.A.08 may apply for the program.

Such users can apply for the Realme GT Neo 3T Android 13 Open Beta program by going to Settings > Software Update > Tapping on the settings button in the upper right corner > Trial Version > Submitting your information > Apply Now. The Realme GT Neo 3T Android 13 Open Beta program participants who were chosen will get the firmware upgrade on their devices soon.

Users are recommended by Realme to make a backup of their personal data before beginning the installation process. Additionally, the company advises customers to make sure their devices have at least 60% battery life before clicking the “install now” option. Users who have rooted their handsets are not permitted to apply for the program.

According to the manufacturer, after installing the Android 13 update, users will notice longer startup times; the boot time will vary depending on how many third-party applications are loaded on the device. Battery life may suffer for the first few cycles when the system runs program adaptations, security scans, and background optimizations.

Months after its international debut, the Realme GT Neo 3T has finally made its way to India. The device features a sporty design, the Snapdragon 870 chipset, and 80W fast charging. Let’s take a detailed look at all that it has to offer.

Realme GT Neo 3T specs & features

The GT Neo 3T comes in multiple color options. The black variant has a matte finish, while the yellow and white color options feature a chequered design resembling a race flag.

It has a 6.62-inch AMOLED E4 screen with a Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, 1,300 nits of brightness, and full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It has an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. The smartphone has a 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the Realme GT Neo 3T. It comes standard with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 5GB of additional RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The GT Neo 3T includes a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W rapid charging to keep the lights on. The device comes preinstalled with the Android 12 OS with a Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

At its core, the GT Neo 3T is a gaming device, and therefore it features a beefy cooling system that has a stainless-steel vapor cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 4129mm².

For optics, the device has a 64-megapixel main camera, which is joined by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a dual-LED flash on the back of the phone. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Pricing & availability

The Realme GT Neo 3T comes in three different configurations – 6 GB + 128GB priced at Rs 29,999; 8GB + 128GB priced at Rs 31,999; and 8GB + 256GB priced at Rs 33,999. The sale of the device will start on September 23, and the device will be available for purchase at Realme.com, Flipkart, and retail stores.

Realme has also announced that for the first sale, the devices will be discounted by Rs. 7,000, bringing their prices down to Rs. 22,999, Rs. 24,999, and Rs. 26,999 for the 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB models, respectively.

In India, it may be priced under Rs. 30,000 and since it will be launched during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, we can expect some hefty discounts.

Earlier this month, Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India, revealed that the Realme GT Neo 3T would finally debut in India in August. Today, at the end of the Reame 9i launch live stream, the brand once again teased the arrival of the said smartphone.

The launch of Realme GT Neo 3T in India has been rumored since June. It has been two months but the company hasn’t disclosed the release date yet despite teasing the phone today.

For the uninitiated, the Realme GT Neo 3T made its initial debut in Indonesia in early June. It is marketed as a successor of Realme GT Neo 3T. The handset is actually a rebranded Realme Q5 Pro sold in China.

The phone comes with a 6.62-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 12. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging.

Further, the smartphone offers a 64MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (2MP) triple camera system, 16MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, in-screen fingerprint sensor, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

Starting off with the design, the smartphone will come with racing stripes pattern on the rear panel for two color options – Dash Yellow and Drifting White. The greyish color option dubbed the Shade Black will lack the racing pattern on the back.

On the front, the device has been confirmed to feature an AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. This display will probably measure 6.62-inch in size and will offer Full HD+ resolution along with 1,300nits of peak brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

Under the hood, the device will house the Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with a 4,129mm² Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System to keep thermals under control. The device will have 8GB RAM which can be virtually expanded up to 13GB (8GB + 5GB virtual). A previous leak has mentioned that the device will come with up to 256GB of storage. After the release of the Realme GT Neo 3, now the brand is working on the upcoming Realme GT Neo 3T smartphone. It will be a toned-down version of the Neo 3 and a successor to the last year’s GT Neo 2T. In the newest development of the phone, it has arrived on China’s 3C and Geekbench certification websites.

The Realme GT Neo 3T carries the model number RMX3372 on both certifications. The device has impressive scores on the Geekbench version 5. It has 979 points in the single-core department and 3047 points in the multi-core department.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC which is clocked at a based frequency of 1.80GHz and a peak frequency of 3.19GHz. The device has 8GB of RAM and runs on the Android 12 version.

In addition to this, from the 3C certification(via Piyush Bhasarkar), we get to learn that the phone has 11V and 7.3A charging support, which translates to an 80W fast charging speed. This is an improvement over the predecessor GT Neo 2T’s 65W fast charging speed.

Apart from this, the phone passed TENAA certification earlier this month. It has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. It features a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie snapper and a triple rear camera system. It has a 64MP OmniVision OV64B main lens, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP tertiary unit.

The phone will arrive in 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM + 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage variants. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery and have a dual-speaker setup. As for security, it is expected to have an under-display fingerprint scanner.
