The new devices arrived with notable specifications and in multiple colors, and now, it has just launched in a new Ink Feather color variant.</p>
<p>According to an <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/548/662.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>ITHome</em> </a>report, the new color option is now available from the Chinese tech giant. As per official notes, the company has put in extra effort to achieve the new design on the rear panel of the handset. Apparently, the process was complex, with micron level transfers to reproduce the color design that is similar to the Damascus-knife pattern that was available in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">K40 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40-pro-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">K40 Pro+</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class=" wp-image-386499 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/20210225_204700_421.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi" width="574" height="574" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/20210225_204700_421.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/20210225_204700_421-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/20210225_204700_421-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/20210225_204700_421-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px" /></p>
<p>While the high end K40 variants are available in the new color on JD.com, these new versions do not arrive with a change in price and are the same as the other color options. Talking about the device itself, the series aims to be a relatively affordable flagship that is powered by a<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Qualcomm Snapdragon 870</a> processor and a 4,520mAh battery pack that supports up to 33W fast charging. It is also thin and light, weighing 196 grams and measuring in just 7.8mm in thickness.</p>
<p>The display of the device is a E4 AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Furthermore, the rear camera module is a 48 megapixel triple lens system, which includes an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 5 megapixel telephoto camera as well.</p>

<p>As per the official Weibo post, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> has managed to sell 1 million units of the Redmi K40 series in just 23 days in China. The company thanked everyone for the love and said that it would do its best to keep the stocks in the coming days.</p>
<p>If you recall, the Redmi K40 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/25/redmi-k40-pro-and-redmi-k40-pro-duo-launched-with-a-focus-on-performance-and-camera/">launched in China</a> on February 25. Along with the Redmi K40, K40 Pro duo, the company also brought the top-of-the-line 2021 flagship, the Redmi K40 Pro+. However, except for the Pro+ variant, the other two devices went on sale initially.</p>
<p>Last year, when the Redmi K30 Pro launched, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/27/redmi-k30-pro-exceeds-100m-yuan-sales-in-30-seconds-in-first-sale/">first sale clocked</a> 100 million yuan revenue in just 30 seconds. A few months later, the company broke the news that the entire K30 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/08/redmi-k30-series-sales-surpass-3-million-units-mark/">sold 3 million units</a> in China. Coming back, the current sales data is from Xiaomi&#8217;s own data center and the period of calculation is March 4 0:00- March 26 14:00.</p>

Soon after that, reports started surfacing that these devices will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/25/373279-poco-m2012k11ag-imda-redmi-k40-5g/">rebranded under POCO</a> for the Global markets. Now, kacskrz, an XDA senior member, has found evidences of the devices and it may come to India under the &#8216;Mi&#8217; branding.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-374786 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K40 Pro Damascus Black Featured" width="2048" height="1367" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-768x513.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-1068x713.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-629x420.jpg 629w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Redmi-K40-Pro-11-1920x1282.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px" /></p>
<p>As per the code snippet found by kacskrz, a Xiaomi device with &#8216;Mi&#8217; branding and &#8216;<strong>Mi 11X</strong>&#8216; market name appears with model number M2012K11AI. Additionally, the codename of the device is shown as &#8216;aliothin&#8217;. In case you don&#8217;t know, this model number and codename belong to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/11/redmi-k40-and-xiaomi-mi-11-pro-receive-bis-certifications-india-launch-could-be-nearing/">Redmi K40</a>(already certified by India&#8217;s BIS).</p>
<p>That is, going by the usual naming of <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a>, the &#8216;in&#8217; at the end of &#8216;alioth&#8217; should indicate that it&#8217;s an Indian variant. Similarly, another code reveals a new device called &#8216;Mi 11X Pro&#8217;. If the above guess turns true, then the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40-pro/">Redmi K40 Pro</a> should take the <strong>Mi 11X Pro</strong> naming.</p>
<p>Earlier today, tech influencer Mukul Sharma said that the K40 will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/04/374838-poco-f3-x3-pro-global-launch-specs-leak/">rebranded as POCO</a> for the Global markets. However, it looks like the devices won&#8217;t come to India under POCO but debut as <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-11x">Mi 11X</a>, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-11x-pro">Mi 11X Pro</a>. If that isn&#8217;t enough, a third device with the &#8216;<strong>Mi 11i</strong>&#8216; moniker suggests that it could be the rebranded Redmi K40 Pro Plus for Global markets.</p>

<p>&mdash; Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz) <a href="https://twitter.com/kacskrz/status/1367422813548773376?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 4, 2021</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40-pro-plus/">Redmi K40 Pro+</a> has a codename &#8216;haydn&#8217; and the corresponding Mi 11i has &#8220;haydn_pro&#8221;. That said, there is no sign of this launching in India as the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-11i">Mi 11i</a> codename has &#8220;haydn_pro_global&#8221; and no &#8216;in&#8217;.</p>
<p>Last month, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/29/xiaomi-confirms-arrival-of-snapdragon-888-870-phones-in-india/">Manu Kumar Jain confirmed</a> that two Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 devices are coming to India. If you match it with the above info, it leaves us to believe that the Mi 11 devices for India will be a rebrand of the Redmi K40, K40 Pro from China. Anyway, let&#8217;s wait for official info to confirm it.</p>
