<p>The smartphone industry has long since moved into the 5G era, but the final wave of 4G flagships from the late 2010s still has plenty to offer. These were the devices that closed the book on an entire generation, pushing 4G hardware and design to their peak before 5G became the new baseline.</p>

<p>Even in 2025, these phones hold their own. For streaming, social media, gaming, or video calls, 4G LTE is more than capable. What makes them appealing today is that they were engineered as premium devices, meaning top-tier cameras, high-end displays, and fast processors, qualities that many mid-range 5G phones still struggle to match.</p>

<h3><strong>iPhone 11 Pro / Pro Max</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="816" height="573" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro.jpg?x44794" alt="iPhone 11 Pro" class="wp-image-703374" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro.jpg 816w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro-300x211.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro-768x539.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro-696x489.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro-598x420.jpg 598w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/iPhone-11-Pro-100x70.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 816px) 100vw, 816px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-11-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone 11 Pro</a> was Apple’s final high-end iPhone to launch without 5G, making it the definitive 4G flagship in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a>’s lineup. Even six years later, the A13 Bionic chip keeps it fast, and iOS support ensures it runs the latest features in 2025. The 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen looks sharp and bright, while the stainless steel build continues to feel luxurious.</p>

<p>Apple’s first triple-camera system still delivers excellent results. The wide, telephoto, and ultra-wide lenses are supported by Night Mode and Deep Fusion HDR, producing photos that can hold their own against mid-range phones today. Strong battery life, Face ID, and IP68 durability add to its longevity. For iOS fans, the 11 Pro remains the last great 4G iPhone worth owning.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy S10+</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S10+" class="wp-image-703375" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S10.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s10-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S10+</a> was the end of an era for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a>, a flagship packed with features that have since disappeared. Its 6.4-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display remains one of the best from its time, and it was the last Galaxy S-series flagship to include both a headphone jack and microSD slot.</p>

<p>Performance from the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 still handles everyday use with ease. The versatile triple-camera setup with wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto options delivers results that compare favorably to modern mid-rangers. Samsung ended software updates in 2023, but the S10+ is still a polished and versatile device that represents the final true 4G flagship from Samsung’s Galaxy S line.</p>

<h3><strong>Huawei P30 Pro</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="581" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-1024x581.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei P30 Pro" class="wp-image-703376" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-1024x581.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-300x170.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-768x436.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-1536x872.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-696x395.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-1068x606.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro-740x420.jpg 740w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Huawei-P30-Pro.jpg 1595w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-p30-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei P30 Pro</a> closed Huawei’s Google-supported era while introducing groundbreaking camera tech. Its Leica quad-camera system with a 40MP RYYB main sensor and 5× periscope zoom was revolutionary, and its Night Mode made it one of the best low-light shooters ever. Even in 2025, the zoom capabilities rival many newer phones.</p>

<p>Beyond photography, it offered a 6.47-inch OLED display, a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W charging, and wireless charging, all powered by the Kirin 980 chip. As <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a>’s last 4G global flagship with Google services, the P30 Pro is more than just a phone; it is a piece of smartphone history that still works beautifully.</p>

<h3><strong>Google Pixel 4 XL</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="690" height="388" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Google-Pixel-4.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel 4" class="wp-image-703377" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Google-Pixel-4.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Google-Pixel-4-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel-4-xl/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel 4 XL</a> may not have had the flashiest hardware, but its software-driven photography made it one of the most influential 4G phones. The dual-lens setup was modest, but <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google</a>’s computational photography introduced astrophotography and refined Night Sight, producing photos that still stand out in 2025.</p>

<p>The Snapdragon 855 with a clean Android build keeps it responsive, and the 90Hz OLED display gives it a modern touch. Battery life was its weak spot, but for anyone seeking the pinnacle of Google’s camera-first philosophy in a 4G device, the Pixel 4 XL still makes sense as one of the last great 4G Pixels.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus 7T</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus 7T" class="wp-image-703378" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-1068x600.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-7T.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-7t/">OnePlus 7T</a> embodied the “flagship killer” spirit at the very end of the 4G era. With the Snapdragon 855+ and a smooth 90Hz AMOLED screen, it was designed for speed and fluidity. OxygenOS kept it snappy, and even in 2025 it remains one of the cleanest Android experiences.</p>

<p>Its triple-camera system, including a 48MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto, and 16MP ultra-wide, was complemented by a macro mode that allowed extreme close-up shots, a unique feature even today. Combined with 30W Warp Charge and solid build quality, the 7T stands as one of the most balanced and enduring 4G flagships.</p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<p>These devices were not just flagships of their time; they were the final wave of phones that perfected 4G LTE before the industry shifted to 5G. Each offered something distinct: the iPhone 11 Pro with long-lasting iOS support, the Galaxy S10+ with unmatched versatility, the Huawei P30 Pro with groundbreaking zoom, the Pixel 4 XL with computational photography, and the OnePlus 7T with raw performance at a lower price.</p>

<p>And while these 2019 models defined the end of the 4G flagship era, Huawei’s modern Pura 80 and Pura 70 series continue the story. Due to U.S. restrictions, they still ship as 4G-only phones outside China, making them the most powerful 4G smartphones you can buy in 2025.</p>

<p>In an age where 5G is everywhere, these last great 4G flagships prove that speed is not everything. They show how great design, powerful processors, and advanced cameras can keep a device relevant long after its network era has passed.</p>

We expect the rumour mills to continue buzzing but it seems all there is to know about the flagships are already in the public domain. The latest leak to meet with us is the render of the device purported to be the official press render of the Galaxy S10 Plus. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/galaxy-s10-plus.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-234774" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/galaxy-s10-plus.png?x44794" alt="Samsung galaxy S10 Plus official press render" width="774" height="608" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/galaxy-s10-plus.png 774w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/galaxy-s10-plus-300x236.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/galaxy-s10-plus-768x603.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 774px) 100vw, 774px" /></a></p>
<p>There is hardly any reason to doubt the authenticity of this photo. The renders were shared by 91mobiles which claimed to have gotten it from a&#8221;reliable source&#8221;. The quality of the picture again lends credence to its authenticity. However, it looks very much like the ones that had been hared in the past especially the high-res CAD renders from Twitter leakster, Onleaks.</p>
<p>The device looks very much interesting, both at the front and the rear aspects. The front design includes the punch-hole display which houses not one, but two selfie cameras. The punch-hole design fits in line with Samsung’s Infinity O display technology, which the company talked about at a press conference back in November. As a result of the design, the bezels surrounding the display on the Galaxy S10 Plus are noticeably slimmer. The device is said to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display just like the Galaxy Note 9 but this model may likely offer the highest screen-to-body ratio for any Samsung smartphone yet.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong>Read Also: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/01/30/samsung-announces-1tb-eufs-2-1-storage-ahead-of-galaxy-s10-launch/">Samsung announces 1TB eUFS 2.1 storage ahead of Galaxy S10 launch</a></strong></p>
<p>At the rear, the equally houses three camera sensors with an LED flashlight at the side. There is no fingerprint sensor at the rear which means the device will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The location of the volume rockers and power buttons at the side don&#8217;t seem to have changed. The volume rockers and Bixby button are on the left side while the power button sits at the right. The Galaxy S10Plus is expected to pack a Snapdragon 855 chipset as well as the latest Exynos 9820on some models. For memory, the device will have at least 6GB of RAM and up to 1TB of native storage.</p>

The Galaxy S9 models weren&#8217;t so impressive as they only had some upgrades over the Galaxy S8 series but not so much of what fans expected. There are indications the Korean giant is already working on the Galaxy S10. According to an insider source, the Galaxy S10 will come in three different models and one of the versions will feature a triple camera setup. This is sort of a confirmation of earlier reports that the Galaxy S10 will have triple rear cameras. The Galaxy S10 is also said to include a budget-model, targeted at consumers who consider price as a major determinant of getting a phone.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/galaxy-s9-red-6.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-190003" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/galaxy-s9-red-6.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S9 Burgundy Red variant" width="561" height="381" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/galaxy-s9-red-6.jpg 561w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/galaxy-s9-red-6-300x204.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 561px) 100vw, 561px" /></a></p>
<p>The source hinted that all three models will pack a 12MP wide-angle lens with 78-degree FOV as well as a 16MP super wide-angle lens with a field of view of 123 degrees. The source also disclosed that the high-end Galaxy S10 Plus will exclusively pack a third 13MP telephoto lens with a 45-degree FOV. In addition, the Galaxy S10 models will follow suit with the S9 in having support for Samsung’s dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4) technology.</p>
<p>In addition, the Galaxy S10 Plus is said to come equipped with optical image stabilization in the wide-angle and telephoto lenses, just like the setup on the Galaxy S9 Plus and Note 9. Previously, the Galaxy S9 featured a single 12MP sensor, while Samsung’s Galaxy S9 Plus came equipped with two 12MP sensors, one a wide-angle lens and the other a telephoto lens. Samsung will likely utilize the triple camera setup by combining the image data from all three sensors for improved clarity and light performance but we are not so sure about how it will pan out.</p>

<p>On the display end, the Galaxy S10 models are expected to have a 5.8-inch display on the base model, while the mainstream model will have a 6.1-inch display. The high-end Plus model will pack a 6.4-inch display. Unfortunately, the source hinted that the Galaxy S10 may not have the much-expected on-screen fingerprint sensor. Rather, the fingerprint sensor will likely remain on the rear of the device. However, the source included a caveat that Samsung&#8217;s plans for the Galaxy S10 could change between now and next year when the models are expected to drop.</p>

Until the previous year, Samsung devices were considered the best choices by most people when it came to the camera department, but with the arrival of the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/huawei-p20-pro">P20 Pro</a> and its triple camera setup, things changed. But it seems that Samsung is ready to take revenge as it is tipped to be planning the inclusion of a triple camera on its next Galaxy S flagship. Or at least that is what has just been revealed by industry insiders from South Korea, that is Samsung&#8217;s homeland.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-197095" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/samsung-galaxy-s10-design.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S10 Display" width="743" height="909" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/samsung-galaxy-s10-design.jpg 743w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/samsung-galaxy-s10-design-245x300.jpg 245w" sizes="(max-width: 743px) 100vw, 743px" /></p>
<p>According to the report, Samsung Galaxy S10 will be released in three variants which will sport two different screen sizes. The first version is expected to pack a single camera, the intermediate one will sport a dual camera just as the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s9-plus">S9 Plus</a> and the third one will be the most expensive and also the one with a triple camera. While the first two versions will be equipped with a 5.8-inch display, the third one will have a bigger display, probably with a size of 6.2 or 6.3 inches. Note that the second version may have a display with curved edges unlike the first one.</p>
<p>The variants are identified by the codenames Beyond 0, Beyond 1 and Beyond 2, respectively. Even though it will have a triple camera setup, the alleged Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus camera department will be different from the one of Huawei P20 Pro as the Korean company is expected to develop its own sensors. Other rumors suggested that this version will also be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner such as the one we saw on the latest Vivo flagships. It seems that Samsung Galaxy S10+ in its most expensive variant will be way different from the other twos, more or less like the iPhone X.</p>
