Xiaomi is expected to release new tablets after a long time. More information about these devices has been slowly appearing on the web. According to the latest information, one of these upcoming tablets has been certified by FCC.

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is reported to launch three tablets. These products are codenamed enuma, elish, and nabu respectively.

As per Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz), the new Xiaomi tablet that has now appeared on FCC with model number 21051182G is the ‘Global’ variant of ‘nabu’. As per previous reports, this model will likely be the most affordable of all three forthcoming Xiaomi tablets.

This device is expected to sport a 10.97-inch IPS LCD panel display with a resolution of 800 x 2560 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display is said to support a 120Hz refresh rate, 410 nits peak brightness, and stylus input.

Under the hood, it is reported to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC and an 8,720mAh battery. According to FCC, this WiFi-only product will run MIUI 12.5 and will support 22.5 fast charging.

Last but not least, the Xiaomi Mi Pad nabu will house a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 12MP primary sensor, an ultrawide unit, a macro shooter, and a depth sensor.

Xiaomi is yet to officially reveal the launch date of its next-gen tablets. The exact branding of these devices is a mystery for now.

Xiaomi is rumored to launch three new tablets after an interval of three years. A few details about these products are already out, thanks to MIUI. Now, another finding confirms the existence of these tablets once again.

A new report by XDA Developers brings more evidence for the existence of new Xiaomi tablets. While decompiling the code of multiple MIUI 12.5 system apps, the publication has spotted the codenames of these tablets (nabu, eluma, elish) referenced in methods like “isPad”.

This somewhat confirms that certain first-party Xiaomi applications will have different UI and additional features on these tablets. A new alphas version of the MIUI Home app already has a settings page showcasing system navigation on these upcoming tablets.

Further, the report says that ‘enuma’ and ‘elish’ will be variants of one another. Their model numbers end with K81 and K81A respectively. On the other hand, the model number of ‘nabu’ ends with K82. Out of these three, only ‘enuma’ will have support for mobile connectivity (4G LTE/5G).

Lastly, the report also mentions another method called “isSplitTablet”. Though it suggests foldables, the exact meaning of this method is a mystery as of now.

According to an earlier report by XiaomiUI, these forthcoming tablets will flaunt a 120Hz IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 2560 pixels, 410 nits peak brightness, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Additionally, as per tipster kacskrz, ‘nabu’ will feature a 10.97-inch panel and will be backed by an 8,720mAh battery. This tablet is said to measure 236mm x 148mm in dimension.

As far as chipsets are concerned, ‘enuma’ and ‘elish’ will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Whereas, ‘nabu’ will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC.

Finally, despite being tablets, all three will sport a quad-camera setup consisting of a primary sensor, an ultra-wide unit, a macro snapper, and a depth sensor. But ‘enuma’ will have a 48MP main sensor instead of a 12MP primary camera on ‘elish’ and ‘nabu’.

November 24 is an important date for Xiaomi fans as the rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro as well as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 devices are expected to be unveiled at the “Grand Finale” event. While there were rumors about Xiaomi Mi 5 also launching on the same date, Pan Jiutang, an IHS analyst dismissed those claims and revealed that we will see the Mi Pad 2 at the event.

Now a couple of new devices have just passed China’s 3C Quality certification website and among them could be the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship. Two new devices with the model number 2015815, and 2015811 were spotted on the website which could be Mi 5 variants. However, its hard to confirm that right now. As for the third new device that was certified today, 2015055, it is most likely the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro variant given that a few days back, the 2015056 was certified on the site.

Its really hard to say which devices will meet us at the Nov 24 event. Our guess is the Redmi Note 2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi Pad, but after today’s certification, things get a bit more confusing. Hopefully, in the coming days, Xiaomi could clear out a few things via official teasers.

We haven’t heard much about the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet for a while. The latest we heard was from the analyst Pan Jiutang who said that the Xiaomi tablet should debut sometime in the third quarter of 2015 with Windows 10 on board. However, even when the third quarter is nearly coming to an end, we haven’t received any details its launch. But, earlier today, we spotted the Xiaomi Mi tablet 2 on the Chinese 3C Quality Certification Center, which could mean that the tablet is ready for launch.

Yes, Xiaomi’s latest tablet has just hit the Chinese 3C certification center. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet comes with the model number 2015716 classified under the category Tablet PC. While the listing doesn’t reveal much of the specifications of the device, it confirms that the new Mi 2 tablet is on the way. Its been more than a year since Xiaomi announced its first generation Mi tablet and the company had earlier assured that it will continue its tablet lineup, so a new launch is imminent. This further proves that the device is under development and we may see the launch soon.

IHS Analyst Pan Jiutang had also added that the new Xiaomi tablet will come with Windows 10. if this really is the case with the Mi Pad 2, it won’t be surprising given that it is said the company is experimenting with Windows 10 even on its flagship smartphones like Mi4. 

The nearest Xiaomi product launch is on September 22, where it will unveil the flagship Xiaomi Mi4C (FYI, its going to be the first Xiaomi smartphone with USB Type-C). This might be a good opportunity for the company to release new tablet too. And it will fall in line with Jiutang’s prediction of a Q3 launch. However, if you have been following Xiaomi for the past couple of years, the company has almost everytime teased its upcoming product in plenty before launch. Since we haven’t heard anything officially about the Mi Pad 2 till now, it looks like there’s still some time for the unveiling of the device.

A few weeks back, a leading IHS analyst, Pan Juitang had said that the new generation Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will most likely run on Windows 10 OS and will release sometime in the third quarter of 2015.

Since then, we have heard a couple of times about the new generation model supporting both Windows 10 and Android Operating systems. So, in such a scenario, users can use both Windows 10 as well as MIUI 7 on a single device.

Now, Xiaomi has officially released a new teaser on Weibo, with the words, Xiaomi Mi Pad x 2 = ????. Considering this teaser, it looks like Xiaomi will announce the new Mi Pad 2 tomorrow. Although the “x 2” in the teaser could mean second generation, but given the way its presented, it may also hint at the possibility of dual OS support.

We have seen small time manufacturers like Teclast, Vido and Ramos highlight dual OS support for their tablets, but major manufacturers still are reluctant to include two different OSes in a machine. So, it would really be exciting to see if Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 provides dual boot support.

However, we may not see the new Mi Pad 2 as early as tomorrow. If we consider the tradition, often the first teasers from Xiaomi are for the date of the launch event. So, tomorrow we may just see an announcement from the company about a new product launch event.

Anyways, this does confirm the existence of a new Mi Pad version. So, lets patiently wait for more information later tomorrow.

Based on heavily customized Android OS 4.4.2 KitKat with interface tweaked to seem much like Apple’s iOS.

Xiaomi Mi Pad has a 7.9-inches display (LG or AUO) with high resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 for a 326 ppi density with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 2GB of RAM. Its all packed under just an 8.5mm thick glossy finish plastic weighing a total of just 360g.

MiPad tablet include a 5 megapixel front facing camera best for video calling, along with a 8 megapixel rear facing camera.

The company CEO Lei Jun, has not specify the full launch of product as the ‘open testing will undergo in June. So one can expect Mi Pad to hit the market once the testing is over.The company has put as long as four year into Tablet Market entry planning, told CEO Lei Jun to the audience. With the launch of Mi Pad, Xiaomi hope to put pressure on Apple.

With powerful hardware and attractive OS tweaks Mi Pad will offer powerful gaming on cheap and unmatch-able user interface experience.

Xiaomi unveil the Mipad a few hours ago, it looks very like iPad mini. Here is our review about the new Android tablet: An iPad mini knock-off.

Although Xiaomi has achieved some success in Android’s phones, however, limited by the Android system, Xiaomi has not pushed any tablet products. But the new born Xiaomi Mipad gave new expectation to Android tablet market. Whether it can shake Apple’s governing position with its price and configuration? Well, may be.

Xiaomi Mipad use same 7.9inch retina screen as iPad mini 2, which is 2048×1536 pixels, the ppi is 326. The size is proved by Apple as the best screen size, which has been continued by Xiaomi.

With it in hand, you will not feel any strenuous , benefited by its 360g weight, it is portable. The rate of screen in front is similar to iPad mini, but if you don’t notice the Android’s classic 3 control buttons, you may think it is a iPad mini.

Surely there is a mi trademark on the top of its screen, besides the logo is the inconspicuous breathing light and 5MP OV camera.

Xiaomi Mipad is only 8.5 mm thick, which will give you good handle feeling.

Surely, the score is amazing 41000, which is top of Android devices, but there was not Antutu installed in the show so we can not verify it.

Top hardware configuration is not enough to make Xiaomi rival iPad, the basic of Xiaomi is the growing MIUI system. We can experience that including calendar, player and photo album is designed to fit the big screen, Xiaomi can improve fast if there are enough 3rd party’s APPs.

Totally, the $240 price tag made Xiaomi Mipad is able to be succeed in the beginning, Xiaomi did a lot both in hardware and software, we may see if it can shake iPad’s position.

It has high speed 2GB internal memory, 16GB/64GB flash memory and supporting external memory storage up to 128GB tf card.
Xiaomi Mipad use Sony 8MP stack camera and 5MP front OV camera. Front 5MP camera can get better resolution with a hi resolution screen. 80 degree super wide angle is fit for group photos and self snapshot. Both the front and back camera are equipped with 5P/F2.0 large aperture, which can receive more light.

Come to software, Xiaomi use the deeply custom MIUI system, with Xiaomi application store and Xiaomi Game center and Xiaomi developing platform, it hs 100 application and 400 games, and by the end of the year, it will have 1000 apps and 1000 games. There are 16000 books and more than 10000 hot movies played, which can be viewed offline after cached. It has WPS office assistant software, supporting edit normal document and  slides’ wireless play and share.
