While Samsung has been has been introducing the new Exynoss Octa chipset for mobile device, but it does not necessarily make ZTE keen to embed it on their smartphone products.

“We do not currently interested to using Exynoss chipset on our smartphone products,” said one of the ZTE officials on the sidelines of the event Mobile World Congress 2013.

Even supposedly, Samsung itself is still not satisfied with the Exynos Octa due to high power consumption in this chipset.

As a result, Samsung is rumored to switch to Qualcomm processor on the new Galaxy S IV smartphone. However, a number of countries in Asia and Europe is rumored to be rationed Galaxy S IV that use Exynos Octa processor.

Moreover, there are a fantastic score that can achieved by Qualcomm Snapdragon S600 powered by Krait 4 cores and Adreno 320 graphics chipset.

And ZTE now prefer to choose Qualcomm as a partner rather than Samsung. “We’ve had a strong partnership with Qualcomm to develop chips and software business belongs to us,” said ZTE staff.

In their announcement, ZTE said that the Grand Memo which packs with 5.7-inch screen powered by quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. This is very significant, because if it is using those processor, the ZTE Grand Memo is the first mobile phone that uses the Snapdragon 800 processor.

And in fact, the Grand Memo is only powered by Snapdragon 600 processor, as same as HTC One smartphone. In a benchmark test, Snapdragon 600 does still has great performance. ZTE has deceived the public by claiming that they are using Snapdragon 800.

Furthermore, the ZTE also make mistake in terms of processor. This phone does not have 2GB of RAM as claimed by ZTE, but only 1GB of RAM.

Smart phones with giant screens will be prevalent this year. The latest is phablet from ZTE, the ZTE Grand Memo that offers a touch screen measuring 5.7 inches. This phablet device is sports with full HD screen, but comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
This phone offers quality processor that is not inferior to the other high end phones on the market. ZTE Grand Memo comes with a quad core processor Snapdragon S4 Pro with 1.7GHz speed. In addition, the phone also offers a 13 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash light.

Unfortunately, apart from these specifications, no other information was revealed to the public. This is because ZTE is launching this phone secretly. However, most likely this phone will come with 2GB of RAM and 3000 mAh battery capacity.
