On May 15, Xiaomi formally launched the Mi Tablet announcing that it would be sold at the starting cost of 1499 RMB.

 

The Mi Tablet sports a 7.9-inch display screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution. It uses NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 quad-core processor with a main frequency of 2.2GHz. It also has 2GB RAM and 16/64GB internal memory storage. It supports micro SD expandable memory card up to 128GB, has a 5mP/8mP Sony dual-camera, and is powered by a 6700mAh battery.

 

The Mi Tablet also supports 802.11 ac, 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-frequency WiFi and Blu Ray 4.0. Its operating system is the MIUI Pad system which is based on the Android 4.4.2.

 

According to Xiaomi’s official Weibo account, the Mi Tablet will hit Xiaomi’s online store on July 1 (next Tuesday) at 12 PM. Only the 16GB white edition will be sold for now.
