Early this year, MediaTek signed an agreement with Via Telecom and was given rights to the CDMA2000 allowing them to make processors that support 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. So, when will the first MTK chip that supports all these networks come out?

Analyst, Bo Jiutang, recently revealed that MTK’s first 2G/3G/4G chipset called the MTK6735 (EVDO-supported) will come out later this year. Based on the name, this does not sound like a high-rangking processor. The Snapdragon 400 and 410 will just be imaginary rivals for it. It should support four Cortex-A53 cores and its GPU might be the Mali-T760.s_bf1e253a48e742e9b35125a08bce7656
