Xiaomi Mi 5 is confirmed to release next month, soon after China’s Spring Festival. As for the scores, they are similar to what we have seen in the past. This is the version that comes with Snapdragon 820 clocked at 1.59GHz, instead of 1.36GHz as seen last month. So, the scores are a bit higher than before. The device managed to score 2182 in the single-core test and 4892 in the multi-core test. While anything above 2000 points in the single-core test is considered impressive, with just four cores on board, the multi-core score is not at par with rivals such as the Exynos 8890 and the Helio X20. These rival chipsets have scores more than 6500 points in the same test.

Along with the device named Xiaomi Mi 5, another Xiaomi device was also spotted on Geekbench yesterday. It was the same Xiaomi Gemini handset, sporting similar configuration as the Mi 5, but with slightly better scores. the Gemini handset scored, 2215 in the single-core and 5096 in the multi-core test.

With just 3GB of RAM on board, the Xiaomi Mi 5 that we spotted today seems to be the low-end variant of the flagship model. The higher-end model with 4GB of RAM is expected to post better scores.

According to recent rumors, the Mi 5 will come in two variants. The low-end variant will feature 2.5D glass body on both the sides with a metal frame and a 5-inch 1080p display while the high-end version will come with an all metal body and a 5-inch 2K display.
