Xiaomi announced the company’s first phablet smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Max aka Xiaomi Max on May 10 and like most other Xiaomi products, the demand for the device was quite impressive. The company received over 10 million registrations for the first flash sale of the device, which shows the popularity of the device in the home country of China. Now that the phone is announced, the Mi Max has received the teardown treatment. The teardown comes directly via IT168 who is known for tearing down famous smartphones (even the Mi 5) in China.

Like most other Xiaomi smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi Max was easily taken apart. The entire process reportedly didn’t take that long, which means this metal + plastic smartphone can be repaired with ease, in case you come across any issues. To recap, the Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a large 6.4-inch FHD 1080p display with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage options. You also get the option to choose between Snapdragon 652 and Snapdragon 650 chipsets. At the back, the phone comes with a 16MP rear camera, while up front, you get a 5MP shooter. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8, and comes with a 4850mAh battery inside a 7.5mm body.
