According to Pete Lau who is also a co-founder, the company recorded over $1.4 billion in revenue, doubling that of 2016. He also added that the figure comes with “healthy profits”. This is the first time the company will reveal its revenues in 4 years. Mr. Lau said the decision to be more transparent about revenues is “to send a signal that we’re a healthy company.”

It is no surprise that OnePlus had a great 2017. Its OnePlus 5 flagship phone received generally positive reviews. It was then followed by the OnePlus 5T in November, which is currently one of the best value for money phones in the market.

OnePlus’ plan for 2018 includes partnering with mobile carriers. For now, the company sells its phones unlocked in the US and Europe. However, carrier availability plays a huge role in the success of a company in these markets too.
