Xiaomi is all set to launch Redmi Note 5 phone at an event on February 14th. Now, the company has posted a new teaser on its social media profiles with hashtag #WhatIsThat. From the hints, it seems that the company might finally bring the Mi TV 4 to India.

The teaser posted on the social media shows a sleek frame along with a message — “Mi fans! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? #WhatIsThat Something wonderful is about to happen this Valentine’s Day.” The device is expected to be the Mi TV 4 which was launched in China last year along with Mi TV 4A.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4 India Launch Teaser

The Mi TV 4 comes in three models — 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch displays with just 4.9mm slim frame-less design. The 43-inch and 49-inch come with a Full-HD 1080p display while the 50-inch, 55-inch, and the 65-inch models have 4K displays.

It’s interesting given that the Xiaomi’s invite doesn’t hint anything about the Mi TV launch in India. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 launch event will take place on February 14 at 12:00 PM IST and as always, the company will be live-streaming the event on its official website.

Previously, there have been a few reports suggesting that China-based Xiaomi would launch a television set in India but every time the company has brushed aside those rumors.

While Mi TV’s launch at the event has not been confirmed by the company, Xiaomi is surely going to launch the Redmi Note 5 or the Redmi 5 smartphone at the 14th February event. Based on the source code of the Xiaomi event website, the name Redmi Note 5 has already been confirmed for the upcoming smartphone.

The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 5 is likely to have similar specifications to the Redmi 5 Plus that was launched in China. The new Redmi smartphone is expected to have an 18:9 aspect ratio display, according to the teasers put out by the company. It seems that the device will be exclusively available on Flipkart when it first goes for sale in India.
