Sharp has confirmed that it will be launching the Sharp Aquos S3 smartphone on March 28 through an unveil event in Vietnam. Today, several images of the Aquos S3 have surfaced on official Facebook Sharp Mobile Vietnam page and some of the Vietnamese publication before its official announcement to reveal its entire design.
The company has claimed that the Aquos S3 will be the world’s first 6-inch smartphone to feature a display with the highest screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. As it can be seen in the images, the handset features a notch that houses a selfie camera, an earpiece and couple of sensors. The sides bezels are quite narrow, and the company’s branding can be seen on the slightly thicker bottom bezel.
The backside of the phone is equipped with dual rear cameras and the top-left corner. Below the dual camera is its dual-tone LED flash. Sharp’s logo is also present on the bottom side of the phone. The rear panel of the Aquos S3 is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The bottom edge of the phone features a USB-C port and an external speaker grille. The left edge of the phone features a SIM card slot while the right side is fitted with a volume rocker and a Power key.
Sharp claims that the Face ID of the Aquos S3 is very reliable as it can scan 1,024 facial features of the phone to unlock the device. The rear shell of the phone features four-sided 3D curved glass coupled with a metallic frame gives a premium appeal to it.

It is equipped with a 5.99-inch display and it could be powered by the Snapdragon 660 or Snapdragon 630 chipset. The S3 may arrive in 64 GB and 128 GB storage options that are likely to feature 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM. The 13-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera with f/1.75 aperture and 2x optical zoom is present on the backside of the phone. The front panel of the phone is pegged to feature AI driven 16-megapixel that will be able to impressive portrait shots. It is expected to arrive with a 3,100mAh battery.
