The HTC U12+ is expected to launch in May but the Taiwanese manufacturer has not officially announced a launch date yet. If you are eager to know how HTC’s next flagship performs in the camera department, then you may want to have a look at these new photo samples.
The photos were shared on Google+ and it says the phone is an HTC 2Q55100. The image info for some of the pictures also reveals it has a 12MP f/2.6 sensor and a 12MP f/1.8 sensor. This is different from early leaks that said the phone has a 12MP + 16MP combo on the rear.
The pictures are not extraordinary but are well above average. Color reproduction looks good and the sensors perform well under artificial and natural light. Sadly, none of these photos are portrait images.
The HTC U12+ is also said to pack dual front-facing cameras. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, have 6GB of RAM, and a 6” QHD+ screen without a notch. It will also be IP68-rated, have a metal body with HTC’s renewed liquid surface finish, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
