Keeping its promise, Xiaomi-based Huami has today launched two new smartwatches in the Indian market — Amazfit BIP and Amazfit Stratos.

Both the devices, which come with multi-sport tracking, heart rate sensor and have built-in GP, will be available for purchase in India exclusively through online marketplace Flipkart.

Xiaomi Amazfit BIP

The Amazfit BIP comes with a 1.28-inch color touch always-on reflective display with 176 x 176 pixels screen resolution and a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It also has an AF coating that provides an at-a-glance view of time, date, steps, weather, sports stats, among others.

It also supports notifications for calls, messages, emails, and other apps. As said, there’s a multi-sport tracking that tracks runs, cycling, etc. with mapped routes and detailed stats along with heart rate zones with optical heart rate sensor.

As for the sensor, the device packs a 3-axis accelerometer, air pressure sensor (barometer) for elevation, a geomagnetic sensor (compass) as well as GPS + GLONASS for route tracking. It also comes with IP68 certification ensuring dust, rain and splash resistance. The device supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE for connection with Android as well as iOS devices.

The Amazfit BIP is powered by a 190mAh Li-Po battery that can provide up to 30 days of regular usage and up to 45 days of usage with minimal notifications. Weighing at 31 grams, the smartwatch has 20mm standard width changeable watch band.

Amazfit Stratos

On the other hand, the Amazfit Stratos sports a 1.34-inch always-on color LCD touch display with 320 x 300 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

Similar to the Amazfit BIP, the Stratos also supports notifications for calls, messages, emails and other applications. It also supports multi-sport tracking for activities like running, walking, trail run, cycling, climbing, swimming, etc.

The device comes with an optical heart rate sensor for heart rate zones and VO2max fitness level analysis. As for the sensor, it packs an optical heart rate sensor (PPG), tri-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, air pressure sensor and ambient light sensor.

For connectivity with Android and Apple device, it has Bluetooth 4.0 LE and also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. It has 5 ATM water resistance rating up to 164 feet and 50 meters. It has a 22mm standard width changeable watch band.

The Xiaomi Amazfit BIP comes in four color options — Onyx Black, Cinnabar Red, White Cloud, and Kokoda Green and costs Rs. 5,499 (approximately $80). On the other hand, the Amazfit Stratos comes in Black color and is priced at Rs. 15,999, which roughly converts to $232.
