Earlier this year, in May, Samsung launched Galaxy A6+ smartphone in the Indian market for Rs. 25,990. Last month, the device received a price cut of Rs. 2,000 and now the company has announced yet another price cut of Rs. 2,000, bringing down the price of Galaxy A6+ to Rs. 21,990 (approximately $316).

The phone is now available for purchase at this discounted rate through Amazon India and Samsung Online Shop. On the other hand, the Galaxy A6 32GB storage variant still costs Rs. 19,990 (approx. $287).

Samsung Galaxy A6+

The Galaxy A6+ is a larger sibling of the Galaxy A6. It houses a 6-inch display that supports a Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels, along with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor that’s clocked at 1.8GHz.

It packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, along with a microSD card slot that enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity. For photography, there’s a dual-camera setup on the back, which includes a f/1.6 aperture 16-megapixel primary sensor and a f/1.9 aperture 5-megapixel secondary sensor.

On the front side, there’s a 24-megapixel shooter with a f/1.9 aperture along with a dedicated LED flash for brighter selfies. The camera app on the phone offer features like Live Bokeh and Background Blur Shape. There’s also variable selfie flash functionality that makes it possible to adjust the light exposure while shooting selfies.

In the software department, the Samsung Galaxy A6+ comes pre-installed with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and has a layer of Samsung Experience UI. The device also supports mobile payments through Samsung Pay Mini. The company has also included an AI camera in the Samsung Mall app.

For security purposes, there’s a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), HT40, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and GPS. The phone is fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery.
