On Nov. 1, Vivo had started receiving the pre-orders of the Vivo Z1 Lite in China. It was speculated that the handset would be hitting the Chinese market during the Singles’ Day sale in the country. The smartphone is now available for buying in the home market through official online storage of the company.

Vivo Z1 Lite Specifications and Features

The Vivo Z1 Lite has a notched display which makes it resemble the Vivo Z1 phone that was announced in May this year. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm which is almost same as the Vivo Z1.

The 6.26-inch IPS LCD screen of the Vivo Z1 Lite supports Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It carries support for 19:9 aspect ratio. Instead of the Snapdragon 660 chipset that powers the Vivo Z1, the Lite edition of the smartphone features the weaker Snapdragon 626 SoC.

The Vivo Z1 features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The newer Z1 Lite phone also features 4 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage of the smartphone is 32 GB. For additional storage, the Z1 Lite offers a microSD card slot.

It comes with 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear side of the Vivo Z1 Lite. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear shell of the device. The notch at the front is the home for 16-megapixel selfie camera. The front shooter doubles up for face unlock function.

Vivo Z1 Youth Edition

The handset is running on Android 8.1 Oreo that is overlaid with FunTouch OS 4.5. It is backed by a 3,260mAh battery. There is no support for fast charging on the device. It includes usual connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo Z1 Lite is now available for buying with a price tag of 1,098 Yuan (~$157) in China. Apart from Aurora color gradient, the handset can be also bought in attractive Red and Black colors.
