Huami, makers of the popular Amazfit and Mi Band products, are having a product tie-in to coincide with Avengers: Endgame. The Avengers name is hyper influential over in China, where Endgame easily smashed box office records to a ridiculous degree. Thus, it only makes sense that everyone would want to have some form or partnership with them.
The teaser also shows us what may be a brand new Amazfit smartwatch. We had guessed this was the case when Amazfit began concurrently giving the Bip price cuts, though nothing was really set in stone. Having a new product to coincide with the hottest movie in China is a pretty smart move all things considered.
Huami came into the spotlight as the maker of Xiaomi’s Mi Band wearable. It went public last year (even before Xiaomi), and has a number of really cool wearables under its own Amazfit lineup. Examples of their previous devices include the really good looking Amazfit Verge and the already mentioned Amazfit Bip. They’ve even got other stuff, like this quick drying t-shirt.
Huami’s been doing quite well for itself. Between the multiple different smartwatches, the miscellaneous products and the hyper popular Mi Band line, the company has a solid portfolio of gadgets. Whether we see a new product for them soon, we have no idea. We expect to at least see SOMETHING from them though.
