Now, the company reveals that it has already received more than 300,000 reservations for the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphone in China, hinting the anticipation of the phone’s arrival as well as the commercial 5G devices in the country.

Apart from the support for the 5G network, everything else remains the same as the standard Mate 20 X. It features a 7.2-inch HDR Full HD+ display with 2244 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and comes equipped with Huawei M Pen. The phone comes with Vapor Chamber and Graphene Film cooling, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and IP53-rating.

The smartphone is powered by the company’s own Kirin 980 octa-core processor, equipped with Balong 5000 5G modem — the same configuration that powers the recently announced Mate X.

Huawei claims that the Balong 5000 is the first of its kind to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures for 5G. The device packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for storage expansion up to 256GB using a microSD card.

In the camera department, it comes with a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of 40MP + 20MP + 8MP sensors along with an LED flash. On the front side, it comes with a 20MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device runs Android Pie-based EMUI custom interface and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery which comes with support for SuperCharge fast charging technology. The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G has been priced at 6,199 Yuan in China, which roughly converts to $900.
