After launching the Oppo Reno smartphone series earlier this year, the Chinese smartphone maker is now all set to introduce its successor, the Oppo Reno2 series in India tomorrow. The company has also confirmed that the Reno2 series will be launched in China on 10th September.

Now, ahead of the phone’s launch in the Chinese market, the Reno2 is now available for reservations on JD.com. While the phone will be launched in China on 10th September, it will be available for purchase from 14th September.

Oppo Reno2

The company has already confirmed key specifications of the upcoming Reno2 smartphone. It will feature a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone will also come with an under-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

The phone’s front panel is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6, while the back panel is being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor.

The smartphone is confirmed to pack 8GB RAM and will come with 256GB internal storage. Focusing on the gaming side, the company will be offering anti-cheat extensions, 25% better graphic processing, HDR10 Gaming support, and Game Assistant, among others.

Oppo Reno2

The Bluetooth certification of the phone has revealed its camera specifications. The Reno2 is equipped with a selfie camera of 16-megapixel and houses a quad-camera setup on the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel lens, a 13-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel lens.

The company has also revealed that the device will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery which will come with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support and USB Type-C port for connectivity. Other features announced by the company for this phone include Frame Boost 2.0, Touch Boost 2.0, and Link Boost.

The JD.com listing of the Oppo Reno2 confirms that the phone will come in three color options — Jet Black (Deep Sea Night), Ocean Green (Heart of the Ocean), and Mist Pink (Mist Powder). However, the pricing details will be revealed at the launch event.
