The Chinese authority commenced the issuance of 5G licenses in June this year. Presently, there are up to eleven 5G phones from different OEMs in China. The report reveals that Huawei is actively deploying 5G products, including 5G base stations, communication equipment, smart phones and servers, especially 5G smart phones. In this process, TSMC and other companies will also benefit. TSMC’s advanced semiconductor process technology will be used by various OEMs on products like 5G procssor including Huawei’s Kirin series as well as on Quaalcomm chips and other products.
