In the previous month, a forthcoming Samsung tablet named Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) was spotted at Google Play Console. The listing had revealed its moniker, renders and some key specs. Reliable tipster Evan Blass shared fresh renders of the device along with specs sheet.

The budget-friendly Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) will be made available through AT8T in the U.S. There is no word on the other markets that will be receiving the Tab A 8.4. The new renders reveal that the tablet features a SIM / microSD card tray on its left while power button and volume buttons can be seen on the right. The bezel above the display has a speaker and a front camera.

The rear shell of the device which seems to be made out of polycarbonate material has a single camera without an LED flash. Its bottom features a USB-C port placed between a pair of speaker grilles.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a display that supports full HD resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. The Exynos 7904 SoC that clocks at 1.8GHz will power the device with 3 GB of RAM. For storage, it will come with an internal space of 32 GB and it will support up to 512 GB of microSD card through the storage slot.

The Android 9.0 Pie OS will come preloaded on the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020). The device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. It will have a rear camera of 8-megapixel and a frontal shooter of 5-megapixel.

On the connectivity front, the tablet will arrive with support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The device measures 7.95 x 4.93 x 0.28 inches and weighs 11.2oz. There is no word on the pricing or release date of the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) tablet. It will come in a single color called Mocha.
